Had a fabulous date night at Taru. The staff was welcoming and friendly, despite my +1 running over 15 minutes late. Our server, John, was extremely knowledgeable, attentive, and made excellent recommendations. The Truffle Sashimi Trio had nice thick cuts of fish and the sauces were not overbearing, but rather complimented the dish. The Chu Toro Roll melted in my mouth, it was delicious. We also ordered the Uni Pasta. Although I am not an Uni lover, I really enjoyed this dish. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the dish overall well balanced and flavorful. I was actually shocked by how good the Crispy Heaven dessert was. The menu description made it sound plain, but it is a very complex dessert and the star of the show for me. Can't wait to return to try more dishes and also for their happy hour when they have great specials!
Hands down one on the best sushi's I have ever had. Super fresh and flavorful. I took one picture of their ceviche and then forgot the others as I got so drowned in the flavors :) EJ our server was awesome. We had the ceviche, salmon, yellow tail, and scallop sashimi, the Branzino, the geisha (highly recommend for the flavor), the hidden dragon and rainbow roll. Too good!! Wish I lived local, would be here often.
Back in Vegas and my eating spree is officially back in effect. First stop on the list was TARU Sushi. One of my besties actually found this amazing spot and I was so excited because we definitely have the same taste when it comes to food. The restaurant itself is spacious, modern, and the service was super friendly. Now let's talk about the food... OMG, we ordered SO much and every single bite tasted incredibly fresh Favorites? The Suzuki, salmon belly, creamy uni pasta that was rich but not heavy at all, mussels, cucumber salad, uni, and the seared salmon with tobiko. Every dish just kept getting better and better. Safe to say... I LOVE this restaurant and already want to go back for more. Definitely coming here again
Taru is truly one of the best sushi restaurants in Las Vegas! The food and service were exceptional, and the fish was incredibly fresh. The Kumamoto and Kusshi oysters were outstanding, and the Toro and Uni were absolutely amazing. Our waiter, John, was extremely helpful, attentive, and accommodating. We enjoyed it so much that we returned three nights in a row! If you are looking for the best sushi and sashimi in Vegas, Taru is a must-visit. We are back again and I'm sure John won't remember us. We car late at night after concerts few months back and had wonderful service by John and excellent sashimi. This time we are back since we fed the kids and wife craving for a great sushi. Ordered Shaginiyan platter and uni pasta to share including oyster. All was marvelous and tasty. This place can get busy and super busy but the 2 host/server maintain all spectacularly. I do feel bad for them running around and even though we waited the good side we get sake for free that keep flowing while we wait so no harm done. They know how to take care their customers. Give this a try and you will be amazed how great their food is. This place screams great first date ambiance. It's so romantics with plenty of drinks to choose from and of course John is the master mixer.

We decided to visit Taru on a whim on a random Thursday night. We were seated immediately upon arrival and were greeted by a very nice server whose name I now no longer recall. I am so sorry. I ordered an old fashioned which took a little bit longer to come out. As a result of that, the server made it super special and turned it into a smoked old fashioned. What a nice touch/service recovery. Everything we had here was divine as shown on the pictures. The sushi was fresh and the oysters, albeit being tiny, packed so much flavor. The Uni pasta was interesting, but in a good way. I would say the price point is truly warranted because of the quality of the fish and other dishes, as well as the exemplary service that is provided during the meal. The server even asked for our names and shook our hands as we were about to leave. I hope that Taru stays in business for a long, long time. We will be back to support, no doubt.
We checked out Taru for the first time last weekend. The ambience is great for date night vibes. The staff is warm, attentive, ajd knowledgeable. We opted for the spicy margarita, half dozen raw oysters, pork belly, chicken thigh, and short rib skewers, mussels and clams, and an assortment of nigeri. The oysters and nigeri were some of the best I've had in Vegas so far. A great sushi spot when you want to dine off the strip!
We came before the BSB concert on Sunday at like 530 surprisingly it wasn't more full here. We got seated right away and ordered hot tea. They have a really extensive menu and we had settled on a few things to order. We got the truffle salmon sashimi, chu toro roll, winter flower roll, creamy salmon, koki wrap, soft shell crab roll. The highlights were the truffle salmons sashimi, chu toro roll and the koki wrap. All the rolls didn't have too much rice which was excellent but some of them weren't that many pieces. We weren't super hungry but some didn't get to try some rolls. Total for 5 w/tax & tip:$280
Really enjoy eating at Taru. Service is great especially John. They do a great job making what you request. We wanted light on the rice with our fish pieces.
The sushi is so fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. Service was outstanding. We came for our anniversary and enjoyed the low lighting and romantic vibe.
Tried Taru and it was really good! Very fresh, tasty and clean food. The 10 piece nigiri, Ala carte sushi ( 2 piece min) were all delicious! Joon, thank you for nice service. Only complaint was miso soup came out lukewarm- should be very hot. We will be back again for sure!
Located off the strip but worth a short drive. Probably some of the best sushi I've tried. Very fresh fish. Highly recommend smoked sashimi appetizer. 5/5. We tried a few different rolls, sashimi salad, miso soup and finished the dinner with green tea tempura ice cream. All very good. Restaurant itself is a beautiful venue with contemporary interior design, open concept kitchen and lovely lighting fixtures. Service was great, helpful and genuine. We will be back when visiting Vegas. Many thanks for the yummy dinner and hospitality!

TARU was recommended to us as one of the best sushi restaurants in Las Vegas, and after eating there, my wife and I would absolutely agree! We decided to sit at the sushi bar, which turned out to be a great choice. It gave us the opportunity to interact with the chef and watch him prepare everything right in front of us. You could immediately tell how talented and experienced he was just by watching his knife skills and the care he put into every dish. We started with the Albacore Tuna, cut into six beautiful slices. It was incredibly tender and practically melted in our mouths. It was so good that we ate it before we even thought about taking a picture! I ended up finding a photo of it on TARU's website because it deserved to be included. Next, we had a Salmon Roll, and then we decided to put ourselves in the chef's hands and asked him to make us a Chef's Surprise. He prepared a beautiful plate featuring four different types of fish, and this time we remembered to take a picture! Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious. To finish the evening, the chef surprised us with a dessert of fresh oranges with a touch of liqueur. It was light, refreshing, and the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. What really made the evening memorable was the combination of excellent sushi and the personal experience at the sushi bar. Our chef was cordial, engaging, and clearly very talented at his craft. If you enjoy high-quality sushi and are looking for a special experience while in Las Vegas, TARU is definitely worth a visit. We would absolutely go back! read more

Had no trouble getting 7pm reservations for 2 on a Friday. First time coming to this restaurant, which is located next to Sparrow & Wolf. Easy parking in the plaza. We started our meal off with some spicy garlic edamame, seaweed salad, and the Taru prawns. Thr first two dishes were good representations of what they should be. The prawns were lightly fried and of good size. The dipping sauce that came with it was very subtle and light. Our main courses were the uni pasta, which came in a good portion size and contained lobster and salmon bits in addition to the uni. My wife enjoyed it and nibbled at it while I awaited my entree. I ordered the 20 piece sashimi sampler. While the tuna, yellowtail, hamachi, salmon, and red snapper all tasted very fresh, I probably would have went in another direction had I known it would take 30+ minutes to receive. I felt bad for my wife waiting to ear her dish. The server was very apologetic for the delay and offered miso soup and a shot of a fruity sake drink while we waited. The entire staff was very welcoming and attentive throughout the meal. read more

Another good sushi place in Vegas. Chinatown that is not all you can eat. They have great selection of sushi and sashimi - good quality of fish. They also had some Japanese pasta dish - the uni pasta is pretty good. They have good cocktails and Japanese beer selection. Server is great and helpful. Place is big and not crowded. Ample of parking sharing the Macys lot. read more

Let's start with the ambiance. The interior is modern, minimalist, and warm, with subtle wood accents and soft lighting that creates a calming, Zen-like vibe without feeling too formal or cold. You immediately get the sense that this is a space where both quality and experience matter. Whether you're out for a relaxed dinner with friends or a quiet sushi date, the setting strikes a perfect balance between casual comfort and upscale presentation. There's bar seating if you want to watch the sushi chefs in action, and it's worth it--the precision and care they take with each roll is truly mesmerizing. But the regular tables are just as comfortable and give you a great view of the beautiful plating that comes to your table. Now, onto the star of the show: the sushi. Every piece of fish we had was unbelievably fresh--clean, buttery, and rich in flavor without a hint of fishiness. You can taste the difference immediately. Super clean sushi spot with great vibes! The decor is beautiful -- modern, relaxing, and really well done. The sushi is incredibly fresh and delicious, honestly reminds me of omakase quality but way more affordable. The service was amazing -- everyone was so friendly and attentive. And I have to mention their uni spaghetti -- absolutely incredible! Creamy, rich, and full of flavor. Definitely one of my new favorite sushi places -- can't wait to come back! read more

TARU is definitely at top of ALL the Japanese restaurants we have ever been to! The restaurant is typical Japanese Style, minimalist and spotless! Went here per recommendation from a friend's friend who is local. (Who we met at TARU). Told us this the BEST Japanese restaurant! Service here is unparalleled! We were fortunate to have the owner navigate us throughout our dining experience! I don't claim to be a connoisseur but from the very first course to the very last, EVERYTHING WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! You can tell everything was FRESH! The sake recommended was superb! SERVICE was EXCELLENT! Thank you so much for one of best and most memorable dinners we had in Vegas!!! read more

Finally got around to trying this place and I am so thankful I did. This will definitely be my go to Sushi restaurant going forward. I came in Sunday evening and we were seated immediately. There were about three other tables at the restaurant so it was pretty empty. This is Located in a shopping center so parking is pretty easy to find. I ordered some sushi pieces and a few rolls and ended up paying about $100. I think this is pretty standard for the quality sushi that I received. All three rolls were exceptional, but my favorite was the one wrapped in soy paper, it was such a fresh roll. The sushi was incredibly fresh, and there was no fishy taste to it. Service was amazing and I had a pretty good conversation with the waiter there. This place is open pretty late so you'll be able to grab a late dinner and the ambience is incredible - perfect for a date night. My word for this place is Wow! When you first walk in, it's a really nice ambience. The place was pretty packed so best to make a reservation. We didn't wait very long till we got seated. But the food was top notch stellar, from the presentation to the taste. It was a bit of a wait for our order but worth the wait. Our server Jonny was very attentive and made sure we were ok. Everything we ordered was amazing. Their top seller Chu Toro is definitely a must try. The cucumber salad, the crispy brussel sprouts were also very good. And the empire of the sun was delicious! Plenty of parking in the lot. There are plenty other restaurants in the same area which I've also tried but this place is my favorite sushi spot now. read more
Came last year when they just opened, but I believe they had an old location before. Delicious sushi, very fresh. Dont remember the names but got a chu toro and salmon roll. Regular portions size I couldve ate both rolls myself easily. Attentive staff. More on pricey side but still cheaper than sushi places on strip. Recommend if youre a tourist and dont mind coming to Chinatown. read more
We had a great experience - sat at the sushi bar and Chef Shawn was fun to chat with! The sushi was very good quality and the rolls were so tasty. They also have specials daily, including fish from Japan! Highly recommend stopping here for a meal! read more
