Really enjoy eating at Taru. Service is great especially John. They do a great job making what you request. We wanted light on the rice with our fish pieces.

We are back again and I'm sure John won't remember us. We car late at night after concerts few months back and had wonderful service by John and excellent sashimi. This time we are back since we fed the kids and wife craving for a great sushi. Ordered Shaginiyan platter and uni pasta to share including oyster. All was marvelous and tasty. This place can get busy and super busy but the 2 host/server maintain all spectacularly. I do feel bad for them running around and even though we waited the good side we get sake for free that keep flowing while we wait so no harm done. They know how to take care their customers. Give this a try and you will be amazed how great their food is. This place screams great first date ambiance. It's so romantics with plenty of drinks to choose from and of course John is the master mixer.

We decided to visit Taru on a whim on a random Thursday night. We were seated immediately upon arrival and were greeted by a very nice server whose name I now no longer recall. I am so sorry. I ordered an old fashioned which took a little bit longer to come out. As a result of that, the server made it super special and turned it into a smoked old fashioned. What a nice touch/service recovery. Everything we had here was divine as shown on the pictures. The sushi was fresh and the oysters, albeit being tiny, packed so much flavor. The Uni pasta was interesting, but in a good way. I would say the price point is truly warranted because of the quality of the fish and other dishes, as well as the exemplary service that is provided during the meal. The server even asked for our names and shook our hands as we were about to leave. I hope that Taru stays in business for a long, long time. We will be back to support, no doubt.

We checked out Taru for the first time last weekend. The ambience is great for date night vibes. The staff is warm, attentive, ajd knowledgeable. We opted for the spicy margarita, half dozen raw oysters, pork belly, chicken thigh, and short rib skewers, mussels and clams, and an assortment of nigeri. The oysters and nigeri were some of the best I've had in Vegas so far. A great sushi spot when you want to dine off the strip!

We came before the BSB concert on Sunday at like 530 surprisingly it wasn't more full here. We got seated right away and ordered hot tea. They have a really extensive menu and we had settled on a few things to order. We got the truffle salmon sashimi, chu toro roll, winter flower roll, creamy salmon, koki wrap, soft shell crab roll. The highlights were the truffle salmons sashimi, chu toro roll and the koki wrap. All the rolls didn't have too much rice which was excellent but some of them weren't that many pieces. We weren't super hungry but some didn't get to try some rolls. Total for 5 w/tax & tip:$280

Nice atmosphere. Seated immediately. Started with a lychee Martini, they add st Germaine like Din Tai Fung does with their pear lychee martini. Very good drink. They had a variety of fresh Japanese sashimi including a number a fish I had never heard of we ordered 4 different Nigiri, fish from Japan that were not on the menu but available tonight, $5 each . I added amberjack and red snapper which I always like. I also ordered dragon roll and 420 roll. (No there's no marijauna on it) everything was not the best sushi I ever had but definitely no complaints.

Located off the strip but worth a short drive. Probably some of the best sushi I've tried. Very fresh fish. Highly recommend smoked sashimi appetizer. 5/5. We tried a few different rolls, sashimi salad, miso soup and finished the dinner with green tea tempura ice cream. All very good. Restaurant itself is a beautiful venue with contemporary interior design, open concept kitchen and lovely lighting fixtures. Service was great, helpful and genuine. We will be back when visiting Vegas. Many thanks for the yummy dinner and hospitality!

Another good sushi place in Vegas. Chinatown that is not all you can eat. They have great selection of sushi and sashimi - good quality of fish. They also had some Japanese pasta dish - the uni pasta is pretty good. They have good cocktails and Japanese beer selection. Server is great and helpful. Place is big and not crowded. Ample of parking sharing the Macys lot.

It's not every day you stumble upon a brand-new sushi spot that instantly earns a place on your favorites list--but that's exactly what happened when I visited this somewhat newly opened sushi restaurant on Spring Mountain Road. Nestled among the vibrant mix of Asian eateries in the area, this place is already setting itself apart with super fresh ingredients, artful presentation, and a team that clearly knows (and loves) what they're doing. Let's start with the ambiance. The interior is modern, minimalist, and warm, with subtle wood accents and soft lighting that creates a calming, Zen-like vibe without feeling too formal or cold. You immediately get the sense that this is a space where both quality and experience matter. Whether you're out for a relaxed dinner with friends or a quiet sushi date, the setting strikes a perfect balance between casual comfort and upscale presentation. There's bar seating if you want to watch the sushi chefs in action, and it's worth it--the precision and care they take with each roll is truly mesmerizing. But the regular tables are just as comfortable and give you a great view of the beautiful plating that comes to your table. Now, onto the star of the show: the sushi. Every piece of fish we had was unbelievably fresh--clean, buttery, and rich in flavor without a hint of fishiness. You can taste the difference immediately. We started with a simple yet elegant sashimi platter, and each slice (tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and scallop) was immaculate in cut, temperature, and texture. The tuna practically melted in my mouth, and the scallop was sweet and delicately briny in all the right ways. From there, we tried a few signature rolls, and they blew us away. One featured spicy tuna topped with seared salmon and a tangy yuzu drizzle--it was a flavor bomb in the best way. Another standout was their house special with unagi, avocado, and tempura flakes, delivering the perfect balance of creamy, crispy, and smoky. Even the rice--which is so often overlooked--was perfectly seasoned and just the right temperature. That attention to detail really speaks to the restaurant's commitment to quality. We also tried a miso soup and a small plate of shishito peppers while waiting, and both were great touches that made the experience feel even more complete. We highly recommend this sushi restaurant to sushi lovers !

Not much stood out in our dinner. The unagi nigiri and yellowtail sashimi were the best items but not good enough to draw me back in, which would make it consistent with a 2 star rating on my chart. 4 stars Unagi Yellowtail 3 stars Salmon belly Hokkaido scallop sashimi Dynamite Blue crab roll 2 stars Chutoro roll Soft shell crab roll Crunchy roll Uni pasta - this was bland and rather disappointing

    Diana G.

Super clean sushi spot with great vibes! The decor is beautiful -- modern, relaxing, and really well done. The sushi is incredibly fresh and delicious, honestly reminds me of omakase quality but way more affordable. The service was amazing -- everyone was so friendly and attentive. And I have to mention their uni spaghetti -- absolutely incredible! Creamy, rich, and full of flavor. Definitely one of my new favorite sushi places -- can't wait to come back!

It was an incredible dining experience, and I would certainly recommend it The restaurant is located in the lovely Cosmopolitan Casino. We had a couple pre-drinks at the Chandelier Bar while we waited for our reservation. When we arrived we only waited a few minutes for them to prepare our table. The restaurant was packed. There's a surprising number of tables/and seating options. The restaurant is elegant and trendy. The lighting is very intimate, but it adds to the ambiance The menu offers a variety of unique and intriguing Asian-American-style delicacies. David Chang is a renowned chef, and everything we tried was incredible. The pork belly bao buns were one of my favorites. We ended up getting a variety of plates and sharing. For drinks they have signature and classic cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options The staff were incredible. Very efficient, professional, and friendly. Our food and drinks came out in a timely manner, and we were well taken care of Some tips: Definitely get a reservation. There is a chance that you will get a table as a walk-in, but not a 100% chance, and you will probably end up waiting a long time I would recommend doing what we did and grab a drink or two nearby while you wait I will say, there probably isn't a bad thing in this menu, but there also isn't much on here for the "picky eater." This is also a fine-dining Vegas experience, so, I wouldn't expect the most inexpensive prices. I wouldn't worry about any of that and just try as much as you can, share, and you will have an amazing time Cheers!!

Other than the hoisin sauce, I couldn't taste much else. The pork belly-to-fat ratio was also way off; there was way too much fat. Let's start with the highlights of this place- This restaurant has what I'd call "sexy food"- dishes that look like they came straight out of a fine dining restaurant, BUT here, at a MUCH more affordable price! ESPECIALLY DURING HAPPY HOUR!! ( 11 PM - 3 AM). Here are the MUST TRY's: The Gyoza- AMAZING flavor and texture. (Happy Hour Dish) The Sashimis- All come with a citrusy yuzu soy sauce. I love the Yellowtail and Salmon one especially! (Salmon Sashimi is a Happy Hour Dish) Black Cod Lettuce Wraps- Umami, crunchy, satisfying! Chicken/Beef Kushi- the sauces for these- just WOW! (Happy Hour Dish) The New York Strip- Look at the presentation! Amazing! The side seasoning, the greens and chili threads- they all pair with this beautifully cooked steak very well! They do have pricier dishes- even a full Chef's Tasting Menu! But since I usually just come for a quick bite late at night, I don't really get those. Ambience- it is a small restaurant, but not too busy. I find that a lot of late night workers come here for a nice fancy, but affordable dinner. This place is great for groups of friends. What needs work- I do love the food of this restaurant, but there are some things that hurt it. I'd love to see them overcome these obstacles and turn out even more popular on the other side! The Outside- I'm not sure if it's the sewage or something, but around the corner spot where this restaurant is located, there's just this awful, stinky smell. I feel like that issue hurts the restaurant, especially for people who would want to dine outside. The hospitality- the staff is fast- hard working- efficient and good at their job. I don't have to wait much for my food to come out. But I feel like there is a lack of hospitality- I get the feeling that they're disinterested in you being their guest- I don't exactly feel welcome and it just comes across as they're just trying to get the job done. Closing Time- Happy Hour and Online Apple/Google Maps says this restaurant closes at 3am- however, there have been times where this restaurant stops seating or taking in orders before 2am. So just be aware that you may not be able to eat there if you go past 2. Fried Rice/Yakisoba- The rice and the noodles are great, but there's something funky about the protein. When I've ordered beef yakisoba before, the beef tastes funky- not fresh. I feel like these are strong side dishes, but I do question the freshness/flavor of the protein added to these dishes.

Customer service was on point from start to finish, and every dish came out fresh and hot. We ordered a variety of items off the menu and were honestly impressed across the board. The gyoza ($6) was perfectly pan-fried with a great crispy bottom, and the filling was packed with flavor. The dipping sauce had just the right hint of spice to bring it all together. The takoyaki ($6) were hands down some of the best we've had at any restaurant. Super crispy on the outside, and when you bite in, the inside just melts and oozes out, so good and full of flavor. The squid leg karaage ($10) was a great starter. Squeezing fresh lemon over it and dipping it in the mayo and spicy sauce combo made it even better. Definitely recommend this one. We were especially excited about the soft shell crab ($9) since it's hard to find it served on its own. It did not disappoint... perfect crunch, great flavor, and the dipping sauce really elevated it. The tonkatsu curry ($13) was a standout. The jasmine rice was cooked perfectly, the curry had rich flavor with tender carrots throughout, and the katsu was fried to perfection... crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Easily a 10/10 dish. The curry udon ($9) is perfect if you're craving something comforting...just curry and noodles done right. The udon ($8) had a flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles, simple but executed really well. The crazy dragon roll ($13) was definitely a highlight. The amount of eel on top was impressive, and the roll itself was a great size. Everything from the rice to the flavor balance was spot on. Every dish that came out had us smiling, we genuinely enjoyed everything we tried. Highly recommend this spot, and we'll definitely be back again soon!
