I eat a lot of high end and izakaya type Japanese food, all through out US and Japan. I was not super impressed by the food here. I came 45 min before opening for lunch on a Friday. I was 9th in line. I've came here twice and first time the negitoro bowl with the uni and crab was sold out for that day. The negitoro bowl honestly tasted worse than it looked. It just tasted bitter and bland, no sweet fresh ocean taste like other chirashi bowls I've had. Maybe it was the egg yolk soy sauce that ruined the flavor for me. It just did not taste like high quality ingredients. I even got extra crab. It was half a crab leg for $6. The snow crab honestly tasted no better than the frozen grocery store stuff, nothing like the fresh stuff from a proper sushi place. The first time, I tried a tempura bowl. It was good, more authentic than most Japanese places in the states, but not super amazing like I need to go back to eat it again. The best food here is their onigiri. The variations and recipes can top the ones found in Japan, very authentic. They do put a little too much rice so you get full fast and can't try too many. They do not keep very well and you need to eat them same day because the rice hardens in the fridge or the fish starts stinking and goes bad! So pick your poison if you wanna buy a lot. The other stuff is not worth standing in line for if you've had authentic Japanese food in Japan or in another bigger city with top notch sushi or fresh fish. I'm from LA and the tempura at Tendon Tempura Carlos Jr in LA is better. There is better fish and rice to be found in LA too like the quality is similar to Sugar Fish and KazuNori. These are very easy to get into spots in LA you don't need to stand in line so I'm surprised to find the crazy hype here. I admit the presentation is nice and the shop's vibes feel very much like you've been transported to Japan. But the cooking quality and flavors are only slightly above average. 3 stars for the cooked food. 4 stars for onigiri. I probably will never come back again now I've tried their signature dishes and see that it's mediocre. The food is not worth the lines it has at all, especially if you're from a big city with good Japanese restaurants. Maybe come here for the Japan nostalgia and vibes or if you've never had authentic Japanese food. If you want to splurge, apparently Kabuto across strip mall parking lot nearby is VERY good. Top 3-5 omakase in the country.

Wow. I brought my sister (visiting from out of state) and boyfriend after seeing so much hype on Instagram. Despite arriving before open, they had a line out of the door for take-out onigiri. The restaurant is quaint, resembling any classic hole-in-the-wall in Japan. I've visited several times, and my boyfriend lived in Okinawa for years, so we were very impressed. The line is long because of how tight the store is. There was a great selection, and we watched them continuously restocking. They give you a basket and you have fun making your selections. They were all tasty. Our favorites being the classic tuna, spicy tuna, and wagyu onigiri. It is take-out only, so we enjoyed them in the car. It was an authentic, tasty, and fun lunchtime experience. We cannot wait to be back! Note: they open take out at 1130, and not the listed 12.

Definitely one of my go-to spots whenever I visit Vegas now. I was so surprised by this spot when I came for dinner. I had seen this spot recommended all over my social media feeds and it didn't disappoint! I do wish I got to try their onigiri and the negitoro dons but the tempura dons were delicious. Like traditional Japanese restaurants, they close in between lunch and dinner. I've heard that there's a line befor opening for lunch or dinner for their onigiri, and that their negitoro dons usually sell out during lunch, so I'll have to come again for lunch next time. The restaurant itself is pretty small, with only a few tables and about three seats at the bar, so the wait can take a while. Our party of three ended up waiting about an hour to get seated around 8:00pm, and we got their premium tempura don. Their tempura is lightly coated in batter and fried, not greasy at all. They're light on the tempura sauce within the bowl, but they provide the sauce at the table for you to add. Definitely recommend loading the sauce onto the bowl for the sweet savoriness and don't forget to use their spicy powder that definitely hits.

Man, good luck getting a seat here! We showed up before opening and the line out the door was nutty! When we were asked if we wanted to dine in the wait time was going to be about 2 hours with no guarantee that they'd have their coveted bowls left. Make sure you get a reservation if possible! We waited for the onigiri which still took us about 30-40 minutes just to get in. Once we were in you could see it was a very cute small izakaya with only 2 tables and bar seating. The onigiri itself was pretty solid but I'm not sure it was worth the wait. Maybe I was just too hungry They also ran out of all the cool advertised ones before we even got a chance (saba, wagyu). Next time I'll definitely shoot for a reservation if I'm in town.

Tempura was super fresh and I loved the seasoning on the rice. We weren't super hungry so we were able to share one of the bowl combos. Since it was around dinner time, they were already out of some of their musubi options, but the couple I took to go were yummy. Convenient and speedy ordering to go for my friends, and the workers were friendly. It's a very small restaurant so we were lucky they had seating for two of us right away at dinner time.

A5 Wagyu Bowl and Negitoro Ikura Bowel with Uni & Snow Crab

I've had Chamon bookmarked for a while and was finally excited to try it. It was EDC weekend, so it was packed. We got there around 11:15 a.m. even though they didn't open until 12 p.m. My group ended up making the second round of seating and didn't get seated until about 1.5 hours later, but it was manageable since we could just put our name and number down and get a text when our table was ready. The downside was that by the time we were seated, all the onigiri had already sold out. Next time, I'd definitely recommend getting in line early to grab the onigiri first and then coming back when your table is ready. We did get lucky and snagged the last serving of the A5 Wagyu steak bowl, which was absolutely the highlight of the meal. I also ordered the negitoro ikura bowl with uni and snow crab, and both were really good, but the Wagyu bowl definitely stood out. Overall, I'd come back for that Wagyu bowl and hopefully next time I'll actually get to try the onigiri too!

There's about 5 tables and some seats at the bar (very small inside), best if you make it early - I'd recommend getting in line by 11-11:30am. They have limited items including: - A5 waygu steak - 10 daily - negitoro bowls - 15 daily Must order: the premium bowl with uni, negitoro, snow crab and ikura. Their tempura bowls is also delicious - great quality, wished it was slightly crispier. Next time I'll try the onigiri - it's the same line if you want to just buy onigiris to go.

    variety of onigiri to-go

My review is solely on the onigiri to-go. I got there at 440pm, waited in my car with the a/c on for a little while until I saw a couple of people lining up. There were only 3 of us in line at 5pm. I've never been here for lunch so maybe dinner is less crowded? You tell me. I keep hearing how packed this place is but I didn't experience that at 5pm on a Thursday. We just had a huge meal from another resto nearby, so I decided I just wanted to pick up some food for later snackies. The restaurant is indeed small, with just a handful of tables. I have to try a sit-down meal here one day. I got pretty much 1-2 each of the available onigiri. I didn't see some of the ones in the photos I've seen on Yelp, but a good variety nonetheless. I wonder if they had it for lunch but ran out? Anyway.. on to the onigiri. I never knew rice could be so tasty! It was just sticky, savory, and satisfying. I agree with some comments that there could be more protein and an improvement in the ratio but the rice was enjoyable as well, my taste buds didn't suffer. My favorite onigiri was the salmon & ikura, it was sweet, savory, salty, minty.. how can something so simple, be so complex in flavors? I was already full off 1-2 onigiri but my gosh, I wanted to open them all up and try them all at once. These would be amazing snackies for a road trip or a movie.

A few general words of advice... If you're planning to dine in for lunch, try to arrive early. They open at 12 PM and close at 3 PM, with last seating at 2:30 PM. Takeout follows similar timing -- expect to wait just like the dine-in customers. If it's past 2:30 PM and they can't seat you, they'll still let you place a takeout order for what's left, based on your spot on the waitlist. Note that tempura is not available for takeout -- only the fresh/raw bowls. If you're only coming for nigiri, expect a wait, but the line moves fairly quickly. On a recent Friday afternoon around 1:30 PM, we waited about 20-30 minutes. They bring people in small groups and give you a basket to carry your items. The nigiri itself is very solid. The seafood is noticeably fresher than what you'll find at most Japanese grocery stores or standard sushi spots. The salmon, for example, is cut from a proper fillet rather than pre-packaged -- the difference is obvious. As for the bowls, I tried their Original Negitoro Ikura + Snow Crab. I'm not exaggerating when I say it was one of the best fresh fish bowls I've ever had. Everything was incredibly fresh and juicy, especially the snow crab. For takeout, the components come separately so you'll need to assemble it yourself. They also give you a raw egg in the shell to mix into the sauce. I wasn't personally a fan of the sauce (it's quite salty), but if you like bold, salty flavors, you'll probably love it.

Chamon delivers very good food, and the staff are consistently friendly and attentive. I arrived about an hour early and was first in line; if you plan to do the same, bring a chair because standing in the heat can wear you down. One thing I really appreciate is their efficiency: while you're waiting in line, they come out to take your order so your food is ready as soon as you sit down. It makes the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.

    A mix of onigiris

I can't speak on the ambiance as there was no seating available cause it was a TINY restaurant... BUT... Food - 10/10 The onigiris we had were amazing. My favorite was the bonito rice with the half egg. So smoky in the best way. The rest were great too. Service - 10/10 It was fast getting everything and the lady was very nice as she rang up our order. We will definitely be going back whenever we're in Las Vegas.

    Christina T.

The restaurant is small and can only fit a few groups at a time so expect a wait. They sold out of the onigiris at lunch time on a Saturday, so I just ordered the premium tempura bowl with a snow crab leg (a bit pricey!). It was tasty and filling, but the tempura was a bit cold and not as crunchy as I expected it to be. I might try to come back during lunch time to try the onigiris though!

Forgot to take more photos while I was here. This was the only one

4.2.26 - this review is based on the experience we had. We haven't had the chance to try the food yet. My cousin and I arrived around 12:45pm and saw there was a line of people outside. It was both of our first times here and it was a bit confusing because we saw people in line to the right of the entrance but also saw people crowded around on the left side of the entrance. It would help to have clearer signs to let customers know where they should stand. We ended up asking people in line. The line to the right is to put your name on a list to dine inside and to purchase onigiri. People crowded on the left were ordering togo. There was no sign-in sheet or tablet outside to put your name down on the waitlist and there was no one outside to take our name down either. I thought maybe the line would go quick but it did not move at all. We found out that seating is very limited inside. We were told there were only like 3 tables. While waiting in line, two guys walked out saying there were only 3 types of onigiris left to choose from. Everything else was already sold out and the place had only been open an hour. We actually wanted to eat inside and try the negitoro bowls but after seeing that the line was not moving and onigiris were running out, we figured it might not be worth waiting anymore. It was a while before an employee appeared and I asked her about the time for dine-in. We were told it would be a 2 hour wait and the worst part.... she told us that spots are not guaranteed for new customers..?!?! Im sorry, what? So basically, customers who have been there before have more priority to get in before we get a chance to try it and it's not based on first come, first serve? I hope to see some changes and improvements made to their process in the future to better the experience for customers. I would still like to actually try the food at some point and hopefully give a higher rating the next time. Parking here was kinda busy too. We ended up getting out of line, left the car here, and walked to a sushi spot nearby in another plaza

Do they have Onigiri from 5-9pm as well?

Yes, but didn't have much left and were out of the wagyu onigiri. (I got there right at 5pm on a Thursday)

Do they have highchair to accommodate 1.5yr old baby?

Yes- they have the wooden high chairs in the corner for use~

    Do they take reservations?

no, they don't and they have limited daily 15 bowls of their rice/crab/sea urchin ( the best and $45 buckss)

How long are the onigiri good for? Do they need to be refrigerated?

Prolly a week in the fridge. A day or two not refrigerated

What is the typical wait time on a weekday right at opening 5pm?

They open at noon, if you get there 15 mins early usually no wait but once is full only 13 people capacity, you will need to wait anywhere from 20 mins or more.

Just taking out Onigiri is possible?

    Yup 👍🏽

I know it say they use a 100% plant based oil for frying, what kind of oil is it? I have a soy allergy.

They use 100% COTTONSEED oil....Sadly, such a bad oil for a good product. All restaurants should stop using seed oils.

Is this the same Chamon that used to be in the same plaza, across from Sweets Raku (RIP 😭)?? The old Chamon, "The Matcha Salon," served amazing desserts like mochi balls and red bean and green tea soft serve ice cream. Same name, same logo.

Yup! It's the same location & same logo, they just focus on tendon bowls now!

My family made a reservation because they wanted to celebrate my birthday, so I was really looking forward to it. When it is your birthday, even a small detail feels a little more important. You want the night to feel special, smooth, and happy from the beginning. Unfortunately, when we arrived, there seemed to be a small issue with the reservation, and the table we were given was much smaller than expected. Since we were there as a family for a birthday dinner, it felt uncomfortable at first. I have to be honest -- my mood was not great in the beginning. It was one of those moments where you think, "Oh no, is this how the night is going to start?" But then the food started coming out, and Hachi completely turned the night around. The first thing that changed my mood was the beer. The draft beer was served in an unbelievably icy-cold mug. It was not just cold -- it looked and felt like it had come straight out of a freezer. The foam was smooth, the beer was crisp, and the first sip was so refreshing that I almost forgot I had been upset a few minutes earlier. That beer alone deserves applause. Sometimes a perfect cold beer can fix a whole mood, and this one absolutely did. The biggest highlight of the night was the tuna toro. It was incredible. The texture was so soft and delicate that it almost felt like cotton candy melting in my mouth. Rich, buttery, fresh, and so smooth. It was the kind of bite that makes everyone at the table stop talking for a second. We loved it so much that we ordered it three times. Ordering the same dish three times says everything. It was not a maybe. It was not a "let's think about it." It was a clear yes every time. The skewers were also very good. The grilled meats had a nice smoky flavor, and they were seasoned well without being too salty. They paired perfectly with the icy beer. But the shrimp skewer was especially memorable. The shrimp had that perfect bouncy, juicy texture. It was grilled nicely, still tender, and full of natural sweetness. Some grilled shrimp can become dry or forgettable, but this one had personality. Small skewer, big impact. We also enjoyed several other izakaya-style dishes. The grilled shishito peppers with bonito flakes were simple but delicious, and they helped balance out the richer dishes. The grilled squid had a great smoky flavor and a chewy texture that went so well with beer. These are exactly the kinds of dishes that make izakaya dining so fun -- one bite, one sip, one more bite, and suddenly the table is full of happy people. The sashimi platter was fresh and beautifully served over ice. There was a nice variety, including tuna, salmon, white fish, scallop, and ikura. Everything looked clean and fresh, and the presentation made it feel even more enjoyable. But honestly, the toro was the star. I will probably remember that toro for a long time. My daughter ordered tonkatsu, and that was also a huge hit. Sometimes at restaurants like this, kids' dishes can feel like an afterthought, but this tonkatsu was really good. It was crispy, flavorful, and satisfying. Seeing my daughter enjoy her food made my birthday dinner even better. As a mom, when your child eats well and is happy, the whole meal suddenly feels more peaceful. That is just the truth. Overall, Hachi started with a little frustration because of the reservation issue and the small table, but the food and drinks completely saved the night. The icy-cold beer, the amazing tuna toro, the juicy shrimp skewer, and the tonkatsu were all memorable. The food was strong enough to make us forget the rough beginning, and by the end of the meal, we were all happy. Las Vegas has so many flashy restaurants, but Hachi has that casual, comfortable izakaya charm. It is the kind of place where you order many small dishes, share with the table, drink something cold, and let the night slowly become fun. I would definitely come back next time I am in Las Vegas. Next time, I already know what I am ordering first: an icy-cold beer and tuna toro. And honestly, I may order the toro twice from the beginning, because one order is definitely not enough.

Everything we had was great. Our server "Rafael" was awesome! The restaurant was busy but Rafael checked on us (and other diners) regularly. The quality is consistently outstanding, with fresh fish, creative specialty rolls, and a menu that offers far more variety than most AYCE places. Every visit starts with great service and ends with a very happy, very full customer. The sushi is always beautifully prepared, the portions are just right, and everything comes out fresh and fast. Whether you're ordering classic nigiri, specialty rolls, appetizers, or grilled items, it's clear that quality is a priority here. What really sets Sushi Neko apart is how they maintain restaurant-quality sushi while still offering an AYCE experience. It's the perfect place for both sushi enthusiasts and those looking to explore different flavors without breaking the bank. If you're looking for the best AYCE sushi in Las Vegas, Sushi Neko is the standard by which I judge every other sushi restaurant. It remains my favorite spot in town with a fun ambiance and never disappoints.

First off, the bread deserves its own shoutout! it was unbelievably soft and fluffy with perfectly crispy edges. Our absolute favorite was the spicy chicken. It was so juicy and packed with flavor, especially with the sauce they serve on the side. And despite the name, it really isn't spicy, so don't let that stop you if you're sensitive to heat. The egg sando was ok, I'd give it a 3/5. I felt like it needed a little more seasoning so we ended up using whatever sauce that was leftover from the chicken and that took it to the next level! The steak sando was a last-minute order after we finished the first two. We actually took it home, threw it in the air fryer later, and boyyy... that jaunt was still GOOD! The steak stayed incredibly tender and wasn't chewy at all, even after reheating. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to if I'm in Vegas again. If you're on the fence, get the spicy chicken--you won't regret it!

Not even a hit of salt or their secret sauce was heavily lacking. The Steak Sando had more flavor, but maybe my husband wasn't a fan of the onion jam? It gave it flavor and the steak was cooked nicely and juicy, but that was kind of it if youre just looking for a steak sando. I wanted to make my own review of the Egg Sando from everything ive heard and read. My husband's take is to always go with the Chicken Sando. Still even more wary of the Wagyu Sando combo at $99. At least we can say we tried this viral place.
