    This was one of the best meals I've ever had and reminded me so much of the places I had in Japan! It felt like I was truly being taken back. My friends and I got here at 11:15ish to line up, and we were the 3rd party in line and the last group to get seated in the first round. It was a tiny cozy shop so definitely expect to wait unless you plan to come early. It was nice that they opened the onigiri section at 11:30 and since we were the first few people in line, we had all the selections we could ever want and were able to browse while waiting for our meal. I ended up eating all the onigiris later in the day. They were NOT skimpy at all on toppings! I'm not a huge fan of onigiri because I feel like most places just stuff them with just rice, but I felt like these were so perfectly distributed and I was able to get a bite of the topping every time. My favorites I tried were the A5 wagyu, which was so juicy! The other ones I tried were the salmon mayo, mentaiko, and truffle spam and egg, which were all also incredible. Now for the fun part, our dining experience! Everything was made to order and crafted perfectly. I got the A5 wagyu steak plate and was completely blown away! The steak melted in my mouth and it was also seasoned so well! The rest of the tempura was also delicious, and all the sides that it came with like the fresh wasabi, pickled veggies, and miso soup. Everything just complemented the others so well and it was also the perfect amount, where I was able to savor every bite and enjoy it while not feel stupidly gluttonous and full at the end. We had a very solid end to our meal with a matcha tiramisu, which was rich, creamy, and delicious! The ladyfingers were moist and paired so well with the richness of the matcha. I wish this place was closer to me so I could come back more often. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Vegas even though it's off the strip!

    This was definitely worth the wait! So many onigiri to choose from, but I stuck with a spicy salmon and salmon ikura. Highly recommend both. While we were waiting for a table, I had these as an appetizer to hold me over. For main dish, ordered the original negitoro ikura & wagyu steak tempura. Again, definitely recommend both of these dishes if they're available. Recommend coming in early as it's such a limited seating area. Staff was so friendly and took our names down as we arrived and organized us to where we were would enter to select onigiri and then were texted when our table was ready.

    I am so happy to have finally gotten to try to dine in here! We lined up pretty early around 11:20 when they open at 12. There was already someone in front of us so come early! We were seated and we ordered the original negitoro with crab and uni. Oh my goooodness the richness of the dish was impeccable. The seafood was so fresh and the soy sauce that came with it was not your typical soy sauce. It was one of the most delicious things Ive ever eaten. We also got the shrimp lover tempura plate and it was a good contrast to the negitoro bowl. The batter of the shrimp was so thin and it didnt feel greasy at all. Service was amazing! I had accidentally used the wrong card to pay and they immediately got me sorted out. Thank you for being flexible!

    I finally arrived! I really wanted the waygu tempura but apparently they only make 10 a day so if that's your number one, get there early. So I settle for the neritoro and it was NOT settle at all. So so tasty and very light on the stomach. Worth getting especially on a hot day like today. I got some onigiri to go for later. I'll come back and update for that review. Limited sitting here but service was friendly, fast and efficient.

    4.2.26 - this review is based on the experience we had. We haven't had the chance to try the food yet. My cousin and I arrived around 12:45pm and saw there was a line of people outside. It was both of our first times here and it was a bit confusing because we saw people in line to the right of the entrance but also saw people crowded around on the left side of the entrance. It would help to have clearer signs to let customers know where they should stand. We ended up asking people in line. The line to the right is to put your name on a list to dine inside and to purchase onigiri. People crowded on the left were ordering togo. There was no sign-in sheet or tablet outside to put your name down on the waitlist and there was no one outside to take our name down either. I thought maybe the line would go quick but it did not move at all. We found out that seating is very limited inside. We were told there were only like 3 tables. While waiting in line, two guys walked out saying there were only 3 types of onigiris left to choose from. Everything else was already sold out and the place had only been open an hour. We actually wanted to eat inside and try the negitoro bowls but after seeing that the line was not moving and onigiris were running out, we figured it might not be worth waiting anymore. It was a while before an employee appeared and I asked her about the time for dine-in. We were told it would be a 2 hour wait and the worst part.... she told us that spots are not guaranteed for new customers..?!?! Im sorry, what? So basically, customers who have been there before have more priority to get in before we get a chance to try it and it's not based on first come, first serve? I hope to see some changes and improvements made to their process in the future to better the experience for customers. I would still like to actually try the food at some point and hopefully give a higher rating the next time. Parking here was kinda busy too. We ended up getting out of line, left the car here, and walked to a sushi spot nearby in another plaza

    This was one of my top meals in my life. And I only have two. And this is a part of it. We went there an hour before opening and were first in line on a Saturday morning. The place is super small, there were only about 4 tables and some counter seats. So the wait can be insanely long if you go late. They only serve 10 wagu tempura a day so we wanted to make sure we would get it. We were able to get it and it was absolutely delicious. Super fatty and perfectly cooked. The tempura coating around it was also light and crunchy at the same time. We also got the negitoro bowl with uni and crab. That was also absolutely delicious. I would get these two items over and over again if I can. It was money well spent. We also got the shrimp tempura but that was just okay compared to the other stuff. If you can't get a sit down spot there, you can also get the onigiri which is also very delicious as well. We got a couple to go and each one we got was so good. Would definitely come again and would come early again to make sure to get the wagu.

    get here at 11 on the weekend if you don't want to wait a long time for onigiri and to dine in. My party of 8 got here at 11:30 and were not seated until 1 to dine in. Thankfully, the onigiri line moves at a decent pace, but I would still recommend coming early to limit how long you have to wait. I recommend the unagi onigiri as a must try. All the onigiris I've tried there were good though and they're reasonably priced. It's a small restaurant, and the onigiri section is also just a walk in walk out. It makes you feel like you're really in Japan, so that's cute. They have certificates for their wagyu to certify it's from Japan. If you are dining in, I highly recommend the negitoro bowl. They make limited amounts, so come early. The fish was very fresh with excellent texture and flavor without the fishiness. The snow crab was also good, but my partner did point out there's not a lot of crab meat. They only make 10 wagyu bowls currently, so I would definitely come early if you want to try that. The meat was tender as expected. Overall, great experience and I will definitely be returning. Just come early!

    Super glad I got the chance to come try Chamon during my trip. The dining table seating looked rough so we opted for the take out ongiri. I'd recommend the one with soft egg which was my personal favorite. The tuna mayo and salmon mayo were good but not as good as their other array of options. The mentaiko was stuffed generously and tasted heavenly. My boyfriend liked the spam One with a slice of tamago best. It's worth going earlier to have your choice of ongiri. Even as someone who has been to Japan multiple a handful of times this was better than most I had ongiri abroad. There tends to be a line even for takeout. The parking lot is big, but the availability of spaces can vary, depending on time of day as the other businesses are very busy. I definitely return and seeing as how fair the prices were I hope to visit every Vegas trip!

    This very traditional small seating capacity gem is a must visit as with a limited menu and a 20-40 minute wait as it opens is well worth it. Negitoro bowl- plenty of toro, chopped clams, squid and ikura presented a top of seasoned rice and accompanied with a egg yolk, miso, special soy which was used to mix the yolk paired with delicate toasted nori.....what else do you need?! Maybe a bowl of miso to finish it off....well that came too. Fresh, creamy, and every bite not wanting to end. Ordered a couple of tempura (crab & ebi) and thy worked well with the negi bowl giving a cold to hot variety. Great service and well worth the drive from the strip as it is a definite return visit especially to try the musubi which we were too full to pick up as there was a huge variety that were well presented at the entry of the restaurant which many patrons came for those to go.

    Came here at 12 and they said it would be around an hour and a half wait. I got the call to around an hour and 48 min. Wait was too long so we didn't end up dining in. Parking isnt the best. We had one person go stand in line while the other went to look for parking. The line is to put your name down to sit and to go inside for the onigiris. All the onigiris had too much rice but the rice was nice and soft. Ratio is off. Each were about $4-$5 Tuna Mayo 4/5 - a little on the salty side and wish it had more Mayo Spicy tuna Mayo 3.5/5 - regular one tastes better Hamburger with cheese onigiri 3.5/5 - I wish I ate it when it was fresh, I think it would taste better Chashu 2/5 pork was dry and it was too sweet Unagi 4/5 - unagi needs more sauce Salmon 3.5/5 - just tastes like salmon and rice, nothing special Spicy chicken Teriyaki 4.5/5 - good but wish there was more chicken Karate chicken 3/5- chicken was too but chicken was so small and there was too much rice Overall onigiris were ok, I'd get some again and some I wouldnt. But I do want to come back to try their negitoro bowl.

    We got there at 12 and was told that there would be a 75 minute wait as there were approximately 7 tables ahead of us. So we grabbed four onigiris to-go and went to a botanical garden while we waited. We mentioned we were interested in the Wagyu and they said they would try their best to have it for us since it is limited to ten. Salted salmon with garlic Mayo: absolutely delicious. Loved every decadent bite. 5/5 Unagi w/ shiso: tasty 3/5 Burger: flavorful 4/5 Spam with tamago: very good! 4/5 At 1:20pm we get a text to come back and that the table will be held for ten minutes. I gave them a call letting them know I'd be 15- 20 minutes and it was ok! We sat at the bar and shared the Wagyu bowl with a side of mushroom tempura, crab leg tempura and uni. Everything was decadent and delicious. It came with a small side of pickles, wasabi, and soup. We were stuffed and happy. Service was very attentive and friendly. The space is quite small and seating is limited so I recommend going early or coming to put your name down way ahead of time. I really enjoyed sitting at the bar and watching the chefs work.

    If you know, you know--after living in Japan for 12 years, my standards for Japanese food are high. It's something I truly love, and honestly, it can be hard to find spots in the States that really hit the mark. So when I came across Chamon, I knew I had to try it--no hesitation at all. My husband and I ordered a variety to really get a feel for the menu: spicy salmon, salmon, tuna with mayo, and two shrimp onigiris. And all I can say is... wow. Yes, it leans a bit more Americanized than what you'd typically find in Japan--but I'm not mad about it one bit. In Japan, portions are more modest and perfectly balanced with rice. Here, the onigiri were generously packed with protein, and it honestly felt like you're getting more bang for your buck without sacrificing flavor. Every bite was satisfying and full of flavor. The atmosphere is great--on the smaller side, but still comfortable and welcoming. Even though they were pretty busy when we visited, the service was impressively fast and efficient, which made the experience even better. I genuinely wish they had more locations around the city because I would easily be a regular. This is definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to whenever I'm craving something that reminds me of Japan--with a little extra twist.

    While visiting Vegas this weekend (3/20-3/22), my wife found this hidden gem of a Japanese restaurant that specializes in onigiri (which is basically savory/cooked sushi). We enjoyed the food so much we went back a second time during this same trip to Vegas! The restaurant itself is located within a rather crowded shopping center. The parking lot was very full upon arriving, but I found a spot after waiting around for a few minutes. The interior of the restaurant was super compact with just a handful of tables. Both times we stoped by, we just purchased the onigiri to-go, since they were all displayed to pick choose the ones you want. They even provide you with a brown basket to store your selections before paying for it. The quality of the onigiri was outstanding! My absolute favorite was the spam with truffle egg. It was superbly delicious with a very umami flavor due to the truffle oil infused into the egg. We will definitely be making this place a regular stop on our next visits to Vegas!

    Yes- they have the wooden high chairs in the corner for use~

    no, they don't and they have limited daily 15 bowls of their rice/crab/sea urchin ( the best and $45 buckss)

    How long are the onigiri good for? Do they need to be refrigerated?

    Prolly a week in the fridge. A day or two not refrigerated

    What is the typical wait time on a weekday right at opening 5pm?

    They open at noon, if you get there 15 mins early usually no wait but once is full only 13 people capacity, you will need to wait anywhere from 20 mins or more.

    Just taking out Onigiri is possible?

    I know it say they use a 100% plant based oil for frying, what kind of oil is it? I have a soy allergy.

    They use 100% COTTONSEED oil....Sadly, such a bad oil for a good product. All restaurants should stop using seed oils.

    Is this the same Chamon that used to be in the same plaza, across from Sweets Raku (RIP 😭)?? The old Chamon, "The Matcha Salon," served amazing desserts like mochi balls and red bean and green tea soft serve ice cream. Same name, same logo.

It has a warm ambient glow that makes the whole place feel intimate, but noise levels can be a bit high due to the close proximity of the tables and lack of noise buffer. Their drink menu is also creative, with unique cocktails and seasonal specials worth exploring. We tried a bunch of different food items: Takoyaki balls: the BEST balls ever! And that's saying a lot because we've been to Japan ! Takoyaki itself is a classic Osaka street food, traditionally made with diced octopus in a savory batter cooked in molded griddles. Here at Hachi, these takoyaki balls are crispy on the outside with a soft center, sitting abed a rich mayo-based sauce. What makes these stand out is the contrast with the balls of delicious and, instead of a fully liquid sauce, there are small chunks of cream cheese blended in, so you have bites of that with the battered balls! Agedashi Tofu: Lightly fried tofu served in a delicate dashi broth. The exterior is soft with a bit of crisp, while the inside stays silky and custard-like. The broth is clean and, if I dare say, savory but light. Basically a punch of umami and extremely balanced! Karaage: They are known for their chicken karaage, and it absolutely delivers. The chicken lightly coated and fried until golden and crisp while staying incredibly juicy inside. Each bite has a satisfying crunch followed by tender, flavorful meat! I highly recommend pairing it with the negi sauce, which delivers a a tangy vinegar-based scallion sauce that cuts through the fat and oils, and it deeply enhances the flavor of the chicken. Yakitori Skewers: Yakitori is a traditional Japanese grilling style where small skewers of meat are cooked over charcoal. The focus is on simple flavors utilizing high-quality ingredients. The shokupan bread deserves its own shout-out too: soft and pillowy, but sturdy enough to hold everything together without falling apart or getting soggy.
