Variety of onigiri and musubi, yummy!
Vi T.

The waiting line is a little confusing, BUT once you get inside, you are greeted by two sweet ladies and a ton of onigiri! We didn't get to dine in, but we definitely had to make a stop for the quick-grab stuff. Got a good variety and each one was soooo good and filling! For 6 of them, we paid ~$25. It kept the two of us full and satisfied for a few hours, so it's totally worth it!

Last time we came here, we were too late to be able to dine in because of how long the line was and we would not have had the time because we had to check out of our hotel. This visit I made sure we'd get in, so I came early enough to be the first person in line. Well worth the wait especially since they limit the amount of Wagyu servings to 10 per day. Since I was first in line I definitely got one of the ten servings and because of the price, my wallet could only handle one order. We also ordered the original Negitoro bowl with Uni and crab, but on the side due to my crab allergy. Because they specialize in tempura, we got their vegetable tempura plate to add a variety of flavors. Needless to say the Negitoro was delicious, but the dish that makes my coming early worth the wait, is the Wagyu tempura bowl. Real A5 wagyu beef perfectly tempura fried was Melt in your Mouth tender and still a medium rare doneness. My next visit, I'm ordering a Wagyu bowl all to myself. Service is always Japanese friendly and efficient system. While the line is still long outside, they come out and take your order and determine if you prefer to dine in or just get Onigiri for take away. Maybe because of the early turnout and it's a weekend, they were not allowing any of the tempura options to go. Now I feel I'm an expert having the knowledge of the perfect time to fall in line and what are the must try orders.

A5 Wagyu steak tempura bowl-- with fried onions + egg, kabocha, nori, shiso tempura. Limited number of bowls daily

Chamon is a shop specializing in tempura (seafood and wagyu) bowls, negitoro (raw tuna and seafood) bowls + huge variety of onigiris (rice balls) for grab-n-go! The Wagyu tempura bowl (5/5)-- The meat was unctuous and melty, while still having a slight tender chew and somehow without an oily mouthfeel. Something about the tempura on the outside worked magic. The wagyu comes on a bed of fried sweet onions, a tempura egg, shiso, and nori crisp + rice. The tempura sauce was seasoned nicely, just sweet enough. A little salty for me but MT enjoyed it and was basically drinking it with the rice! I'm not a huge meat fan, but this bowl was so great that I'd probably contemplate on ordering this one for myself next time. :) They have a limited servings available for lunch and then another amount reserved for dinner. Onigiri (4.5/5)-- we tried 3 (the shiokoji salmon, spam truffle egg, saba gari). The onigiri were very popular. By late afternoon, they were sold out of all but one variety of onigiri! The shop is homey and tiny-- 3-4 tables for 4 people inside + 4 bar seats where you can watch the chef and kitchen team in action. The bronze/metal splash screen was really nice to prevent the heat and splatters reach diners. Chamon just celebrated its 2 years and they're going strong (just announced plans for a 2nd location!). No reservations here, but once you're on the waitlist, they'll text you a 10 minute heads up when the table is ready. If you're missing Japan or want to try something special, swing by for some onigiri and hot fresh tempura bowls!

Went during a late afternoon and was not expecting a whole line! Probably just lots of people traveling since it was during a holiday but it was hot and the line is outside. The onigiri were really good but I would only go if I was close by. I got the cheese Hamburg one since it seemed special compared to the others and it was really savory and a little sweet from the sauce and interestingly there was mayo in it too that added a layer of creaminess. Great spot on Vegas for onigiri

We finally got a chance to try Chamon! Their Wagyu Bowl is limited to only 10 bowls per day, and their different Negitoro Bowls are limited to only 15 bowls per day. Here's a tip if you want to try their limited dishes. You gotta listen carefully! They open at noon, but you gotta be there by 11:10 AM at the latest. Once you see the welcome sign outside, go line up. It should be around 11:15 AM. People show up FAST! I don't even know where they come from, but the line forms really quickly. Someone will come outside and ask for your party size and whether you're dining in or just there to buy onigiri. If you're dining in, they'll give you a menu and then come back to take your order while you're still waiting in line. Yes, you order before you even get inside! Around 11:30 AM, they'll start seating people. The place is pretty small. They only have two tables for four people, one table for two, and about 3-4 seats at the bar counter. So yeah, that's why you gotta get there early if you want those limited dishes! Is it worth it? Definitely!!! The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. We really enjoyed it and were glad we finally got to try it. I also saw that they're opening another location soon. Check their website or IG for updates! Get there early, people!

First the "bad". Only negative I have is it's a very small space. Wait times can be long because of that. Fortunately they are very efficient and super friendly. They have onigiri ready to go (bought some for the flight home) but I tried the special Wagyu plate. A bit pricey but, it was delicious. Our party of four were all satisfied and delightfully full when we were done. Definitely worth the visit and if you don't mind going at a unique time to avoid the crowds so worth it!

This was probably one of my favorite meals on my last trip to Vegas. All the tempura was delicious but my favorite was the Wagyu bowl. So tender and don't forget to add on the black summer truffle zest! The onigiri was delicious as well and a great grab and go snack. The restaurant itself is very small with limited seating so if you're trying to snag a table be prepared to wait. I got there on a Thursday around 11:45 before they opened and there was already a line. Once they sat the first round of tables I was told the wait would be about 50 min and that was an accurate estimate. Once you're seated the food comes out pretty fast.

Finally got to try Chamon and went on Friday afternoon to pick it up. Luckily not a long line for the onigiri, but definitely will be back to sit down and try their bowls. All of the onigiri were in stock and getting replenished while I was there. I loved the amount of filling for each onigiri, it was very generous portion size. My order included their mentaiko, unagi, salmon, salmon and ikura, tuna, and shrimp. Loved the addition of the shiso leaf for the round ones!

Giselle M.

Really authentic tasting onigiri and would probably come back here if they fix their ordering process. Came at 11:50 and did get not until 40 minutes after for just take out. They hand out baskets for to go orders and it should be one basket per party or have a paper ordering system to check off what you want. They only allow 5 baskets inside at a time. As of right now, they have the same line for to go and dine in. It was very busy for Friday lunch so it would've been beneficial to add a third worker for just to go orders to help keep the line moving. There's very limited space inside so it makes sense that they want to keep as much space as possible inside but their ordering process doesn't logistically make sense to me. Overall, their onigiri is pretty good but just be prepared to wait if you decide to go.

This place was amazing. We got here at 2:20 PM, just as they were doing last call for their lunch service. My friends and I got their Original Negitoro Bowl and also the Deluxe Tempura bowl. It was all good - we're definitely going to go back next time we're in Vegas. (It was so good, one friend actually went back for their limited Wagyu tempura bowl). We also grabbed a bunch of onigiri to eat later for an early dinner. I can't remember which onigiri I ended up grabbing, but they mostly fell in pretty good to very good range.

Chamon Las Vegas was definitely one of my favorite food stops in Las Vegas! If you're an onigiri fan, this place is absolutely worth checking out. The onigiri were delicious! What I really liked about Chamon is that even though many of their options aren't your traditional onigiri, they get really creative and put their own unique twist on them. There were so many different flavors and combinations to choose from that we ended up grabbing a bunch just to try them. My favorite was the Unagi Sansho. The grilled eel was flavorful and went perfectly with the rice and nori. I would definitely get that one again! I was really looking forward to trying the Wagyu, but unfortunately they had already sold out by the time we got there. That just gives me another reason to come back next time I'm in Vegas! Definitely recommend getting there early because some of the popular items can sell out. Overall, I loved the concept, the presentation, and especially the creativity they put into their onigiri. I'll definitely be back!

Perfect first meal of the day. After eating on the strip for a few days, this was absolutely satisfying to eat a freshly cooked meal. The size portion is perfect, not too small and not too big. Best part, after eating there's an array of freshly prepared delicious onigiri for purchase to snack on later. Staff were friendly and fast. Perilla leaf

The food here was SO fresh and delicious! It genuinely reminded me of eating in Japan, from the presentation to the quality of the ingredients. We ordered the fried eel don and the Wagyu don, and both were hands-down amazing. The tempura was crispy without feeling overly heavy, and the Wagyu was beautifully cooked, tender, and packed with flavor. I was hoping to try the seafood don too, but unfortunately it had already sold out by the time we ordered. Definitely come early! Their popular items sell out FAST. They also make rice balls/onigiri, but apparently those can be completely gone within about an hour of opening. If you want the full selection, I would honestly try to be there right when they open. Everything tasted fresh, authentic, and thoughtfully prepared. I'm already planning to come back earlier next time so I can finally get my hands on that seafood don and the rice balls! Highly recommend, just don't sleep in!

What time should we be there to get the wagyu bowl?

You want to be there before they open. Probably 15 mins before to be the first 20 people to get in.…

Do they have Onigiri from 5-9pm as well?

Yes, but didn't have much left and were out of the wagyu onigiri. (I got there right at 5pm on a Thursday)

Do they have highchair to accommodate 1.5yr old baby?

Yes- they have the wooden high chairs in the corner for use~

Do they take reservations?

no, they don't and they have limited daily 15 bowls of their rice/crab/sea urchin ( the best and $45 buckss)

How long are the onigiri good for? Do they need to be refrigerated?

Prolly a week in the fridge. A day or two not refrigerated

What is the typical wait time on a weekday right at opening 5pm?

They open at noon, if you get there 15 mins early usually no wait but once is full only 13 people capacity, you will need to wait anywhere from 20 mins or more.

Just taking out Onigiri is possible?

Yup 👍🏽

I know it say they use a 100% plant based oil for frying, what kind of oil is it? I have a soy allergy.

They use 100% COTTONSEED oil....Sadly, such a bad oil for a good product. All restaurants should stop using seed oils.

Is this the same Chamon that used to be in the same plaza, across from Sweets Raku (RIP 😭)?? The old Chamon, "The Matcha Salon," served amazing desserts like mochi balls and red bean and green tea soft serve ice cream. Same name, same logo.

Yup! It's the same location & same logo, they just focus on tendon bowls now!

My brother and sister-in-law took us here, and luckily, we arrived early enough to avoid the line and snag the last available table. Moments later, a long line was forming outside! Truth be told, I'm not usually a fan of katsu, although my entire family loves it. We ordered both the regular and thick-cut pork katsu sets to compare, along with oysters, a seafood mix, jumbo scallops, mushrooms, and Kumidashi cold tofu. My favorite was the scallops. Everything except the tofu was fried, and WOW! The katsu here is unlike what I've had elsewhere. Perfectly crispy, clean-tasting, not greasy, moist on the inside, and seasoned just right. I also enjoyed the ritual of grinding sesame seeds to mix into my katsu sauce. The iced green tea was wonderfully refreshing, and refills were included--a nice bonus! Service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Coming from someone who doesn't typically gravitate toward katsu, I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. They offer all-you-can-eat for around $35, which honestly seems like a great deal if you can put down some sushi , but we knew we wouldn't eat enough to make it worth it, so we opted to order à la carte instead. We started with the pork belly, which was actually the only thing we didn't care for, so we ended up sending that back. Everything after that, though, was SO good. The garlic spicy salted edamame was delicious and such a good way to start. We also tried several of their all-day specials--the yellowtail carpaccio, crunchy onion albacore, and seared bluefin tuna--and all three were delicious.
