Blue crab sushi, nori crunch
Dee T.

I'm scared to leave a good review because this is going to be my new favorite restaurant and I don't want to have to wait They are known for their temaki which has fresh nori and so many fillings! I LOVE their tofu which is made in house along with their shoyu . . Sooooo soft and fresh!!! Their sushi melts in your mouth and the tori pop was soft and not overcooked. . Billy is so friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel so welcomed!!!

Nice cozy spot with a large open space. Was greeted immediately and seated by my waiter. They suggested great options on the menu and got the premium temaki set which is affordable for what you get. Sake ikura, Yuzu scallop, spicy tuna, negi Toro, and miso eggplant. They have a cute trashcan as well for for disposables and the soysauce is in a dropper which is fun!

Came here after EDC and it was exactly what we needed. The vibes were great. Chill atmosphere, good energy, and surprisingly no wait even though we showed up close to closing. Huge shoutout to the server for being super accommodating and still giving great service without making us feel rushed at all. The temaki hand rolls looked fresh, flavorful, and seems like it'll hit the spot after a long night. Happy hour prices were also pretty reasonable, especially for the quality and portions. Definitely a good sushi stop if you want something satisfying without spending a crazy amount. Would come back again after a festival night for sure.

Fresh and crispy. A great temaki selection. The staff is very friendly. A bit dark to see the menu but fits the ambiance.

Wow, I looked for a seafood tank in the back to explain how fresh the fish was. So many menus in different places. Some hidden at the bar, behind you, or covered by the counter. Good service but we're the only ones there for the great happy hour. Definitely more expensive and significantly higher quality than AYCE places. Left at about $150 for two. Great uni. Quiet atmosphere. I liked the handrolls but they take a little practice to not make a mess. It's like a sushi taco you have to remove the plastic from the taco holder while balancing the ingredients. Fun times and will return.

We came back as a group probably 4 times in a one week period. Lunch and dinner time. All the servers were great. Place is clean. Floor well kept. Light at a good brightness. Loudness is perfect- great for convo but not too loud that youre yelling. This place gets so busy in evenings and weekends but service is so quick, it's a non issue. Billy is the best though. Most hardworking. Attentive. Aware. Personable. Radiates genuine happiness. Efficient. Great attitude. The sushi chef, Jeremy was so nice. (Sorry I meant to write this review last mo but life got in the way). His knife skills. His flavor pairings. Generous portions. Personable. Funny character. Seems to also really enjoy what he does. I wanna gatekeep so bad bc youre my favorite in vegas. I wanna keep yall to myself. but yall are just so good, I cant help but tell everyone about yall Cant wait to see yall again!! See you in a month

If you're looking for a handroll place try The Nori! We got the Nori Lover Set which included salmon, spicy tuna, crab, shrimp tempura, and eggplant. Everything was so yummy, and surprisingly I really enjoyed the eggplant handroll! Would definitely come back to try the premium set :)

Came here with friends for Happy Hour on a Friday night and had such a great experience. The service was warm, upbeat, and genuinely welcoming--they really make you feel like family from the moment you walk in. Haejin and Billy are amazing!! The sushi is top-notch. We started with a dozen oysters, seaweed salad, the yuzu snapper crudo (my fav), and the kanpachi crudo--everything was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. After that, we each ordered hand rolls. We got the blue crab, otoro, miso Hokkaido scallop (my fav), salmon skin, yuzu kanpachi, a5 wagyu, and more-- every single one was delicious. Overall, an amazing spot with great vibes, fantastic food, and standout service. Highly, highly recommend!

Came by to Vegas and was looking for a good handroll spot! Our server Billy is amazing and was spot on with the recommendations as it was our first time trying. He was always attentive and so sweet to us. They have a wide variety of handrolls, appetizers, main dishes, special rolls, and sets to choose from. The Uni Cream pasta and the hamachi collar were the stars of the meal and would definitely come back to get again!

Vivian D.

Staff is super friendly and helpful with introducing how to order. Food came out quick, I personally loved the otori hand roll the best!

We finally got around to stopping by The Nori, I'm shocked it took us this long! This spot is a total gem. The handrolls come out fast and fresh, they even keep the nori wrapped until you're ready to eat it! Everything we had was a total hit, especially because the brussels sprouts are vegetarian!!! The service was just as impressive, our waitress was super friendly & genuinely helpful with recommendations for our first time. Definitely one of our go to spots from now on.

Blue Crab hand roll, spicy salmon, spicy octopus

Amazing service and delicious food. We came for their happy hour and they have a lot of great deals. The staff are all really friendly and quick on delivering our food. We ordered the blue crab, spicy octopus, and spicy tuna hand rolls along with the salmon Kama. All were delicious!! I loved how they came on wrapped seaweed to maintain the freshness and crispiness of the seaweed. The place is very clean and pretty inside. The bathroom is very clean too. They have a bar top and good amount of tables for small groups. I liked how the soy sauce comes in a pipet to pour your soy sauce. Can't wait to come back and try more items.

Customer service was on point from start to finish, and every dish came out fresh and hot. We ordered a variety of items off the menu and were honestly impressed across the board. The gyoza ($6) was perfectly pan-fried with a great crispy bottom, and the filling was packed with flavor. The dipping sauce had just the right hint of spice to bring it all together. The takoyaki ($6) were hands down some of the best we've had at any restaurant. Super crispy on the outside, and when you bite in, the inside just melts and oozes out, so good and full of flavor. The squid leg karaage ($10) was a great starter. Squeezing fresh lemon over it and dipping it in the mayo and spicy sauce combo made it even better. Definitely recommend this one. We were especially excited about the soft shell crab ($9) since it's hard to find it served on its own. It did not disappoint... perfect crunch, great flavor, and the dipping sauce really elevated it. The tonkatsu curry ($13) was a standout. The jasmine rice was cooked perfectly, the curry had rich flavor with tender carrots throughout, and the katsu was fried to perfection... crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Easily a 10/10 dish. The curry udon ($9) is perfect if you're craving something comforting...just curry and noodles done right. The udon ($8) had a flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles, simple but executed really well. The crazy dragon roll ($13) was definitely a highlight. The amount of eel on top was impressive, and the roll itself was a great size. Everything from the rice to the flavor balance was spot on. Every dish that came out had us smiling, we genuinely enjoyed everything we tried. Highly recommend this spot, and we'll definitely be back again soon!

I don't think they are usually this busy though, as they were definitely understaffed that evening. Service was consistent throughout the night, and the servers were cheerful and doing their best to take care of everyone. The restaurants design is very relaxed, with some optional bar seating to watch the chefs cook and roast the skewers, with additional options for booths. After 10 PM, they offer a happy hour special with $5 hand rolls, cheap drinks, and basically half off of all their skewers, potatoes, and small bites. On the particular evening that we went, either they were extra busy and had too much customers from CES... but they ran out of sushi rice and did not have any hand rolls....How does a Japanese restaurant run out of rice??? We were super disappointed and ended up just getting skewers. Itzakaya Tora, you definitely need to step up your game and have better management in the future for these big events. I don't think they are that new of a restaurant, but they definitely let me down. Chicken and pork skewers ($2 per skewer, 7/10) - super juicy! You can definitely taste the charcoal and barbecue flavor. They do a great job of keeping each skewer, moist and juicy, that I didn't feel like I was eating burnt skewers like you get at some other restaurants. - $2 per skewer is pretty good for the happy hour deal, but I think it's much more expensive during the regular menu option. Don't think it would be particularly worth it with their regular menu. Overall, super disappointed that they didn't have any more of their sushi, rice and best do not have any $5 hand rolls during their happy hour. Also, the wait was super long to get in, and they were definitely understaffed. If they had all their food selections available, this would probably be a higher rating, but the long weight and lack of menu items was super disappointing.

It has a warm ambient glow that makes the whole place feel intimate, but noise levels can be a bit high due to the close proximity of the tables and lack of noise buffer. Their drink menu is also creative, with unique cocktails and seasonal specials worth exploring. We tried a bunch of different food items: Takoyaki balls: the BEST balls ever! And that's saying a lot because we've been to Japan ! Takoyaki itself is a classic Osaka street food, traditionally made with diced octopus in a savory batter cooked in molded griddles. Here at Hachi, these takoyaki balls are crispy on the outside with a soft center, sitting abed a rich mayo-based sauce. What makes these stand out is the contrast with the balls of delicious and, instead of a fully liquid sauce, there are small chunks of cream cheese blended in, so you have bites of that with the battered balls! Agedashi Tofu: Lightly fried tofu served in a delicate dashi broth. The exterior is soft with a bit of crisp, while the inside stays silky and custard-like. The broth is clean and, if I dare say, savory but light. Basically a punch of umami and extremely balanced! Karaage: They are known for their chicken karaage, and it absolutely delivers. The chicken lightly coated and fried until golden and crisp while staying incredibly juicy inside. Each bite has a satisfying crunch followed by tender, flavorful meat! I highly recommend pairing it with the negi sauce, which delivers a a tangy vinegar-based scallion sauce that cuts through the fat and oils, and it deeply enhances the flavor of the chicken. Yakitori Skewers: Yakitori is a traditional Japanese grilling style where small skewers of meat are cooked over charcoal. The focus is on simple flavors utilizing high-quality ingredients. We tried a mix of skewers, which comes with a slice of lemon on top to be squeezed over the skewers: * Wagyu skewers: rich, buttery, and cooked to perfection * Beef tongue: more chewy and textured, so not a huge fan of it * Chicken skin: ultra crispy with rendered fat and a satisfying crunch * Pork belly with green onions: fatty, smoky, and balanced by the freshness of scallions We also ordered a fresh scallop skewer, grilled shrimp with tartar sauce, and eel. The scallops were sweet and tender with 3 pieces per skewer. The shrimp was cooked and de-shelled and served with a tartar sauce. The eel was the most memorable with its rich, tender, and deeply savory taste. Eel (unagi) is considered a delicacy in Japanese cuisine where it's known for its sweet glaze and soft texture. Our favorites were definitely the eel and scallop skewers.
