The kimchi is so delicious. I came here yesterday for the first time. The ambiance is great, wallpaper somewhat tacky, but eh, you can't blame them. We had prompt service, but our server was kind of dragging herself, like she didn't want to be there. YOU NEED TO COME HERE FOR LUNCH! The prices are amazing for lunch, and the portions are big. First time ever coming here and my mind was blown away! Such a delicious restaurant! Great for families big and small. We had the spicy pork with mushrooms, red shrimps which is like a sweet and spicy flavor. Mongolian beef super good! Wonton soup. Also eggplant with garlic sauce. Really delicious foods all around. I love this place so much. Wonderful employees, delicious food. My family and I would go to this restaurant a lot of times. The waitresses know our order. I highly, highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Mandarin cuisine. The food was definitely just okay. If your starving it's good! The pork fried rice was a little bit to squishy for my taste. The orange chicken I would have liked to be a little more crunchy . The crab puffs were pretty good and the egg flower soup was amazing, minus the mushrooms! I will say what stood out the most was how awesome the delivery guy was! My family and I decided to try Yen Ching for an early dinner. We really liked the decor inside, my kids loved the large budda statue that stands just inside the door. We were greeted by the hostess and seated very quickly. The menu items looked very good and there are a lot of choices. We ordered our food & drinks and waited a very short time for our order. The food arrived and all was delicious. The mongolian beef was the best! Spicy but soo good. It is served over little crunchy noodles that are the perfect compliment to the flavorful strips of beef. We also enjoyed pork fried rice, chicken chow mein and beef sauteed with onions. The portions were large and fed our family nicely. The waitress was very pleasant and checked in on us often. This restaurant needs help. Ordered Mongolian beef, where was the beef? Small portion for the size of the platter. Mostly onions. The worst was the pork? Fried rice. Meat was white and gelatinous like tripe. When asked about the type of pork they said sirloin but couldn't possibly be because of the texture. Didn't even eat it after picking out the mystery meat. Was a real turn off. Not to mention that the glass of chardonnay was served room temperature. Don't go here. read more

The really cool, big red doors are a sign of what to expect... The inside is decked out all swankified too... We haven't eaten IN the restaurant yet...maybe one day without all the kiddies...but we get take-out there on average of once a month or so. Definitely the best in the area, we love it. We haven't eaten here in a year and must say everything we ordered was amazing & delicious..Fresh, hot, & spicy! I recommend the Mongolian Beef, Hunan Chicken, and Mixed Vegetables. I have eaten here many times. Wish I could give them a 5-star rating, but can't quite do so. That have a beautiful facility, but there is more to a restaurant that pretty surroundings. They have the same soup every time I go there, there is no other choice, and it's not very good. And no matter what I order, nothing I try has much flavor. I don't know if they are being cheap & stingy with the spices, or what. I want real fresh spices, and not MSG. But no matter what I order, it's a unflavorful & disappointing. The service is lacking too. They come to take your order, then disappear to the back of the house, and visit with other employees, instead of being available to customers. And after they bring your food, you can't find them until they bring you your check. If you need help in between, you are just out of luck! Also, each time I used there restroom it was rather dirty, and made me worry about how clean the kitchen was. Come on folks, I know you are better that this. Tried it twice so this review is solid. The worst wonton soup I have ever had, but the best crab Rangoon ever, very spicy. I ordered the "8 hot delicacies", and it smelled pungent and fecal. Tasted awful as the smell. I dumped it after two bites. What a waste of a delivery. Also they just so happen to sell soda by the 12 ounce can to force you to spend a butt load of cash instead of selling 2 litres. The delivery people are nice and they package the deliveries well. I have eaten here so many times I can't believe I never wrote a review!! I love the decor here. It's very authentic and cute with the music. The service is ok, they are kind of shy but friendly. I must say the Mongolian beef is my favorite here and that's pretty much the only thing I like. I used to love their sweet and sour pork but the last few times I've eaten it it was soggy and the meat was hard and tasted funny. Yikes!! Fried prawns are good. But I must warn you to stay far far away from the garlic chicken!!! Mine was not garlicky not chickeny yes I just made that a word. It tasted like fish to be exact and was very gooey. Overall I only come here on occasion to get some delicious spicy Mongolian beef because it's the best thing to get here!! Don't know what to say... Yen Ching use to be my best pick in Lodi, During the last few year it's been fallen, their food now is so oil, not frest, and dry. In the past couple month i went two time first time with my wife the restaurant was dead there's no other customer the food was served slow, we order 4 dishes it takes almost 30 minutes to complete the order. the second time is with 5 other co-worker for dinner we order 8 different dishes but none of them we finished. couple of my co-worker say "this is the worst chinese restaurant they been to" what can i say.... We knew we could trust her to guide us to the best eating places. We weren't here a week when we began craving some great Asian food. Who ya gonna call? My sister, AudI Lee, of course! Without hesitation, she directed us to her favorite Chinese restaurant, Yen Ching - and they delivered. Perfect! We ordered our favorite dishes, Orange Chicken with Chow Mein for my husband, and Curry Chicken with fried rice for me.The food arrived faster than expected and if the aroma was any indication, this was going to be our new go-to place for Chinese cuisine. The food was every bit as good as our favorite place "back home", and we devoured the generous portions without any leftovers to spare. We had that feeling of home sweet home. We ordered the Yen Ching dinner for four and chow mein. The portions are just enough to feed four hungry people and the protein content was skimpy. All the dishes were bland and the soup stock was little more than water. The spicy prawn and Mongolian beef were barely spicy. At least it was mostly cooked to order.
