I used to get food from Luu's in Stockton when I worked on Pacific but, it's been years. I've driven by this one so many times and always wanted to stop but forgot about it right after. Last Friday we stopped by and got a #1 and a #1 double meat (broccoli only on both), and it was just as good I I remembered. Healthy fast food options aren't easy to find but Luu's checks that box while also being delicious. The service at the window was friendly and fast and we'll be making more of an effort to remember it's here from now on. read more

I have been wanting to try this location for a while now and I excited to get a chance. I ordered sweet and sour pork and rice with an egg roll and the yakitori chicken skewers. I was so excited to try it that I ate the egg roll in my car in the parking lot. It was really good! It was very big and had great flavor. There was also sauce to dip it in. It it was honestly so good I didn't even try the sauce. With an amuse bouche like that I closed up the bag and drove home excitedly anticipating how delicious the rest of the food was going to be. When I arrived home, I was very disappointed. The pork was literally what you get in the freezer aisle at the grocery store and the rice was excessively moist. The whole meal was bland and pretty gross to be honest. The takiyaki was so dry and even the mushroom were shriveled and dehydrated. Although I would not come here again for a meal, I would definitely consider stopping in for another egg roll or two if I wanted a nice snack so if you are thinking of stopping here, do yourself a favor and add an egg roll to your order. read more

Passed this many a time. Always curious. Finally stopped in. Assessed the interior and gave it a go. Nice greeting. Many choices. Went with chicken teriyaki bowl. It's great that veggies are part of the bowl. It was fresh. It was good. I did add hot sauce. I really liked nutritional info and feel less badly about the "rice@. Maybe brown next time. Everything was fresh. It was hot. It was plentiful. Maybe some toasted sesame could garnish it. They do have chopstick , self serve teriyaki pump to take additional sauce. I recently read on Facebook (from my local peeps) that this place has great teriyaki chicken. From the looks of this place on the outside, it looks a bit run down. Instead of going across town to Panda, I thought I'd give it a try. I decided on the #1 which is a Chicken Teriyaki Bowl with vegatables and rice. The price was good, under $9! I asked for brown rice so they added a $.50 charge. Upon opening up my bowl in the plastic container, it looked so fresh! The chicken was tender and not dry and there was big broccoli pieces with a few chunks of carrot. The bowl was still steaming from the heat. Yes! Needless to say, it tasted really good and I was happy I came in. I did ask for additional teriyaki sauce at the window before I paid but did not see a charge added for it. The vegetables are fresh and tasty. The meat is always flavorful. We've also tried the shrimp tempura and chicken egg rolls. They are on point as well! I like how they offer the discount card. Ordered the #1 chicken teriyaki with extra chicken. It came with white rice, a side of steamed cabbage, and a side of steamed carrots with broccoli. The chicken was really really dry and didn't have any sauce on it but they did give one teriyaki sauce on the side and one soy sauce on the side. I wish the house provided more because the teriyaki sauce tasted like nothing super bland not like the syrupy teriyaki I'm used to. I really like Luu's Chicken Bowl because it really isn't trying to be anything else. It's not trying to be fancy, but it offers good quality food at an affordable price. They are also very fast, so there is never a long wait at the drive through. I like their combos because they come with a generous portion of grilled meat, lots of steamed veggies, and a heaping portion of steamed rice, all for about $10. You can't possibly be hungry after that. There are also a good amount of sides and other menu options available. So if you're like me, and often just need to grab something to eat on your way home from work, or need a quick lunch, and don't want a burger or something greasy, this is the perfect spot. read more

Food came out quick tho. We had gotten some teriyaki chicken bowls, and a side order of veggies. Teriyaki sauce and other fixings you can find to the left of the front counter with napkins and utensils. The teriyaki sauce left a bit to be desired but the chicken was decent. There's no sriracha though. I'd say get takeout if you really wanna dress it however you like since you might have better stuff for that. The chicken was pretty good though. The only reason I don't give them a 5 star is that ambiance if you are dining in is a bit rough. It is clean, but you can tell the emphasis is on take out. From a friendliness and quality of food perspective I think they are one of the best that Lodi has to offer. I have only gone with the chicken bowls, egg rolls and tempura shrimp. They grill the chicken fresh and you can see them doing it. The veggies are fresh as well. They don't smother the bowls in sauce, just a light drizzle but are more than willing to give you more if you want it. I could see that some of their other dishes may not be up to expectations as in a traditional Chinese restaurant (orange chicken, etc..) as that is a side line for them. But if you stick to their core, and their name (Chicken Bowl) it is top notch. read more

First and last time trying this place. We spent a lot of money, because we'd never been here before, and we like to order a bit of everything to find out what is good. The only thing worth eating was the egg roll, and wished I had ordered more, because the rest was just a waste. 2 stars for the veggies, 2 for kimchi, the former steamed and plain, the latter a bit light, but seemed good. Every meat product (we ordered beef, chicken and pork), whether grilled or deep fried was so overcooked and dry, there wasn't enough sauce to make any of it palatable. Possibly the bowls are better, but we can't have the rice, only meat and veggies. Maybe an off-day, judging from so many good reviews? Hard to say. But 1 star for the meat. They charge for ordering online, not sure why, and I was willing to go with it, for the convenience. The online menu auto-defaults to a tip. If it were me, after 30 minutes MAX, I would have gotten out of the car and caused a scene (lol) so I decided to try this place out and use the drive thru anyway! I got to this establishment around 11:45 am on a Tuesday and there were 2 vehicles in front of me before I placed my order. Waited no more than 5 minutes before I got to the menu & speaker to order my food. Got to the pick up window and waited no more than another 5 minutes! Fast food with Japanese/Korean/Chinese inspired offerings and assortments. The best way I can described this restaurant. I visit Luu's at least 3-4 times a week for my meals and nutrition. Everything they make they make well with their flavor profiles not as strong as their traditional counterparts. I think thats why they do everything so well and you can eat it all the time and not feel guilty your cheating on your diet. I tried as a result of the alert. I ordered two, #1, plates with extra chicken. The service was fast and friendly with a smile. As I paid for my meal through the drive through and was able to peer through the window into the kitchen and saw 2 workers and the window attendant but I got a vibe of "ghost town"? I just figured there was no rush at the moment hence the low energy for a kitchen. I was very hungry so I couldn't wait to get home which was only 8-10 Lodi blocks away. When I got home I was ready to dig in. As I opened this plate I saw grilled chicken beautifully coated in teriyaki sauce and very pleasing to look at accompaniments. I dug in! Based on the reviews, I went there recently and ordered the #1Chicken Teriyaki and a couple of egg rolls. When I took it home, it was easily enough for two of us. Everything was done just right. First of all let me say that I am a big fan of Luu's and glad to see them come to Lodi. Their Rice bowls and chicken egg rolls are awesome, and I eat here often. The reason for my 3 stars today and this review is because of the chicken wings, the #5 menu item. I love wings and thought I would change it up today, instead of my usual bowl, I ordered the wings bowl. The wings are deep fried with a perfect crispy coating, not real greasy. But they were pretty much flavorless. I had to salt them heavily, and even tried putting Teriyaki sauce on one and Luu's spicy sauce on a couple. Nothing really improved them. Don't get me wrong, the bowls are awesome, I'm just not a fan of their wings. Maybe they had an off day and didn't mix the coating right, I don't know!
