I stopped in this evening for my first time dining here and it was great! We love Japanese food and usually have it 2-3 times a month; Yume will definitely be added to our list of favorites. Very friendly server (and attentive). I did come in later in the evening and they were still very gracious about seating me and I was served quickly. It's a small, quant dining area but very clean. Thank you for such a nice experience Yume.

Sushi is almost religious experience for me. I have had a lot of it in a lot of places. Unfortunately, Yume kinda let me down. While the salmon was very fresh and tasty, the rolls are so small and wildly overpriced. Let's talk about the size issue, because this is more of a deal breaker for me than the price. There is so little in the rolls, and they're the wrapped in so little rice that they don't really stick together and begin to come unwrapped when picked up. I would rather have a roll that is less pieces and wrapped big enough to hold its shape. We also tried the teriyaki beef and broccoli and the meat was inconsistently cooked, some was really overdone. The sauce was also disappointing because it had very little flavor. I get that this is Lodi, but I can get sushi in San Francisco that's not only markedly better, but also cheaper. I usually give any place w couple tries, but I really don't think I will be back here, and really can't recommend you try it.

I ordered lunch here last month and just remembered from my phone pics. My Udon soup hit the spot. The noodles were so big and perfectly chewy, and the broth was full of umami. I drove about 10 mins to pick it up. It was still piping hot when I got home. I tried both California Rolls - one with real crab and the other with imitation crab. Oddly enough, I preferred the imitation crab! Leftovers were decent the next day too. The Crunchy Rainbow Roll was also fresh and satisfying. I'm sure it would have been crunchier if it wasn't a pickup order. This place is small and casual. The cashier was friendly and polite when I took a while signing the receipt cause I forgot my glasses. I'd return to try more special rolls.

    A couple of rolls

Probably some of the best sushi we've had and with some very unique combinations of things on some of the rolls. All excellent even the egg plant sushi. The texture of the egg plant was different but the flavor made it exceptional. A must try.

Ah-mazing sushi! Walked in on a Tuesday around 7 pm to find that this quaint little sushi spot was busy! Excellent and fast customer service experience! Dim lighting, quaint, low-key background music. We will definitely be back soon and I am telling all of my family and friends about Yume! Go - you will not be disappointed!!!

Really impressed with the food here. Every single thing on the menu is packed with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and came out hot.

It was good, nice little gem - I think our bill dinner for two was about $100.. I don't think we had any drinks.

Even so, the quality is still there. The fish is fresh, the presentation is beautiful, and overall, the food is consistently good and I'm satisfied every visit, even when doing take out. I do hope they expand someday because the restaurant itself is pretty small and gets very busy. Minh, the owner, is there every day and clearly takes a lot of pride in the work and care that goes into curating each dish. Here are a few of our favorites: Hamachi Crudo 5/5 Roll Over Lobster 5/5 Crispy Brussel Sprouts 5/5 Salmon Skin Trio Handroll 5/5: one of my favorites Preggo Roll 4/5 - my kids love this lol Smokey Peyton 5/5: my personal favorite To Die For 5/5 Inferno Roll 4/5 Killer Bri 4/5 The M 5/5 - this is the most expensive roll on their menu but it's good. We've also had their nigiri and sashimi, and both have always been excellent. They also have omakase which I still have yet to experience. Overall, the dishes here are worth it and if you deep pockets, you can easily splurge.

Ambiance was so so, more like a bar than Japanese Resturaunt. 2. Service was poor. 3. Food was fair, we had several rolls (too much rice) and a bento. I do not consider this authentic Japanese cusine. 4. The things that made me give this rating were that they calculated the tip on the total that included the sales tax and CVC fee, this is not honest. They also charged a credit card fee of 3.84%, first they do not pay this high of credit card charge to AMEX, also why not roll this expense in the price of the food and beverage. Very few places that charge this fee that I am aware of.

Sooooo, I pay myself with sushi sometimes. This is acceptable, yeah, cuz either I try to save $25, which would eventually get spent anyway, or use it on something valuable. The value of sushi or sashimi with vegetables, is that it contains your alphabet Vitamins A, B, C, and D; plus, the greatly beneficial Omega-3. In addition to those benefits, getting a bento box combo with chicken gives you more protein for building muscle. This array of vitamins and protein sources provides satiety. It's an ideal meal for gym goers and maybe health enthusiasts; or like me a part-time dog walker. Alright, now that you've heard me out and possibly have known all this before, then, yeah have brunch, lunch, or dinner here at Matsuyama. They're conveniently located around the corner from the gym. Perfect for you! ...and also, it beats having to look for a different parking space. Just walk, you know. The shopping plaza has a great coffee shop too. Once they open, it's nice and quiet so you get fast service with individualized attention. They're calm and check on you frequently enough. Simple conversation, and a peaceful meal; peaceful like it would be on a pine mountain (Matsuyama).
