Food is always delicious.. Best sandwich shop in Lodi, CA.... Hands down you won't be disappointed

The French dip here is the best in town. The bread is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The meat is tender, seasoned perfectly, and pilled on and the au jus is full of flavor. On a normal day Bon Appetit is an easy 5 stars. Went on Wednesday and since it was a half day for our elementary schools they were short handed and a little overwhelmed and that was fine until I asked for a box and it felt like I was asking for her to go jack my car up and change my tire. I'm giving grace here because we've all been there and being overwhelmed while running a business during lunch rush is no easy feat. We still love Bon Appetit but will pay more attention to the school schedules before we come in for lunch next time. read more

I love finding these small, family owned restaurants that have delicious food. I ordered the golden gate chicken sandwich which was recommended by the cashier. It was sooooo good! The bread was so good and fresh- it melts in your mouth. Great for a fast but delicious lunch. read more

Great sandwiches and great salads. This is a straight forward sandwich shop. The quality is top notch and the service is great. It's set up near small business parks and definitely serves that crowd. Delivery drivers were coming in and out the whole time we were eating lunch. But, with as busy as they were, our meals were served very quickly. The Ruben was perfect. I am so happy that we found this lovely cafe!! My husband had the french dip and I had the pastrami sandwich. Both were EXCELLENT and came with a yummy creamy pasta salad on the side. Service was friendly. The atmosphere was cute with lots of lego masterpieces on display. Everything is fresh made - so it is not a grab and go type of place. If you are in a rush, order in advance. I used to love this place they had the best sandwiches in town but the past few times I have come they aren't as good. It seems like the quality of ingredients have gone way down the avocado isn't even fresh avocado anymore it's avocado spread. The tomatoes used to be the brightest red tomatoes and the ones I had today were so bland pale and flavorless. My sandwich was still good and don't get me wrong I'll still go back but I definitely miss the old bon apetit. Also wish they would bring back that potato salad that was to die for !!! read more

Came here to have lunch with a friend. She had the salad/sandwich combo. I had the Mt Fuji Salad. The restaurant is small and intimate and has an outdoor area. We were there during the lunchtime rush but got our food fairly quick. The portion size is smaller than I'm used to, but price is reasonable. It's a salad, nothing special. If you a local Lodi resident and you haven't visited Bon Appetit you are truly missing out. The only excuse I'll accept for a local not being a patron of this bomb lunch joint is you were serving time in Lodi City Jail. As the wife and I rolled into the parking lot I saw a large group of construction guys picking up sandwiches, good sign. They have a pretty good menu however I was craving a build my own. I created a hot roast beef, cheddar, onion, aioli, on Dutch Crunch. Our order was individually bagged and labeled hers/his for my wife and I, amazing idea which took the guess work out of who's sandwich is where. First time I have experienced individual bag labeling. While ordering it was easy to see these three employees or possibly owners were solid veterans in the food industry, you could see the passion they had for the food they were preparing while in their presence. We quickly arrived back to the Air B&B and I unwrapped an explosive hot R B Sandwich. Looking and holding this sandwich I knew I was about to chomp into something epic. Bitting into this roast beef sandwich I'm pretty sure my mouth called 911 to report this all time top five favorite of mine. The ingredients were fresh, roast beef juicy, cheddar thick, and the aioli on dutch crunch was the perfect combo. Bon Appetit you lucky Lodi residents. Five of us went looking for a lunch spot other than readily available fast food. Someone spotted Bon Appetit on Lodi Ave which appeared to be a sandwich shoppe so in we went. I had the french dip and chips (pasta was also an option). I received a healthy amount of sliced roast beef, potato chips, and a cup of dipping sauce. A diet soda was my drink of choice. The food was delicious. My companions felt the same about their choices. For "EAT here" orders, your meal is brought to you by the staff. You take care of your drink beforehand. Typical sandwich shoppe furnishing (small tables and chairs). One wall has cushioned seating. I didn't see it but someone said there was outdoor seating. On Saturdays the shoppe closes at 2pm, so I would check ahead, I did not check out the other 6 days hours. As I told the staff upon leaving "very nice, we'll be back." read more
