My mum wanted pancakes before I left back to the city, she wanted IHOP, but it was too far away for my time constraints. We came in and sat in a booth, I have never been here before, but my mum has. I went here this past Saturday, 27 December 8:30a I ordered their Kabasa scrambled when I tell you I had food poisoning by Saturday 11 AM and ended up in the emergency room Sunday morning at nine because the food poisoning was so bad I couldn't control it. This place is dirty. Clearly we have some bacteria and germs growing somewhere their kitchen can't be cleaned or my food was cross contaminated or it could've been the Kabasa sausage that actually had a recall on it and they're serving it in their dish. The have a seafood omelette that's delicious. My family loves the large fluffy pancakes. I love to get over easy eggs and hash browns (I always request them extra crunchy) with bacon and sausage and sourdough toast. Their portions are large and shareable. The French toast is also a favorite. It's a little cafe that stays busy because locals know about this unassuming gem. I completely judged this book by its cover. Ok, this restaurant looks very outdated. It's located in an area where it seemed a bit sketchy but to be honest, the best food always comes from these type of areas. I'm not from Stockton so I could be judging the area a little too much. We gave it a go and walked in. Food was smelling delicious! The host had this fun energy vibe to her and it made us feel good. We were seated with menus and service right away. We ordered the Mexican omelette and Chicken Fried steak. It looked delicious and it tasted delicious! I really enjoyed my breakfast. Overall, even tho the outside seemed outdated, the food inside was delicious however, I did use the restroom and it was very dirty but overall, this review is fully based on my breakfast experience. Haven't been here in so long and it was yummy as always. Hubby ordered the meat lovers breakfast burrito. Filled with ham, bacon, sausage, egg and cheese. Huge and delicious. It comes with a side and he picked the fruit I ordered the western cheeseburger. Had a big cheeseburger and onion rings on it. Ordered with fries on the side. Staff is friendly and accommodating... First time here I went because the reviews were ok and we were tired of searching first in they told us to have a seat in the middle seat we sat down for about 15mins never offered water or anything to drink so I went to the counter to ask for water the lady finally came over we gave her our drink order and food order came with the food order didn't provide napkins or syrup the lady never came back to the table so I had to go get creamer and syrup from other tables and then I went to the front because one of our orders were missing so I ordered pancakes at the counter then once again the waiter came back we wanted to order food to go I was taking to long I guess so she told me to just order sausage with out giving me the chance to choose I just settled for what ever cause at this point we are ready to go also I was never offered a high chair and my sister was clearly carrying her baby I had to walk across the room to get a high chair anyways out to go food came and we noticed a charge on the bottom for a Box Yes we're charged for a to go box the lady took it off once we asked about the charge and tried to act as if she was doing us a favor get home with our to go orders we are missing A whole order and the kids said the burgers we brought them were horrible so never again will I be back keep the 12 dollar meal as a tip read more

First time here. Wow so many menu options! It's packed in this place so be prepared to be snug. One bathroom stalls, on for men's and one for women's. The coffee is a must and they refill. This was a last second selection on a place to grab a late breakfast. It was nearly full inside but we got a small table. Being busy, meant the service was a little sub-par (no silverware, missing condiments, etc.). Wait staff were doing their best to stay up though and we appreciated the effort. Once it started to slow, service was excellent. I decided to try their Italian skillet and selected hash browns and sourdough toast as my sides. The toast was a little small but was pretty good as I'm sure it had real butter on it. My skillet tasted pretty good too. The hash browns had a nice taste and so did the ingredients in my skillet. My friend tried the corn beef omelette and said it was one of the best he'd ever had. My order was pretty big but his was even bigger. I didn't think he could finish it all. But somehow he did...me too. He had coffee and I had a Coke. We took our time eating and by the time we were done, the place was nearly empty of customers. Our waitress said it's always packed for breakfast and wide open at lunch. Despite their sign, they are no longer open for dinner. If you want a tasty breakfast, I personally rank this place as one of my top two options in Stockton. That being said, prices have definitely come up (our bill was over $40 without tip). The retro divey exterior implies this will be a hidden treasure of well-made diner food, but... lunch there was uneven and disappointing. Omelet and scrambled eggs were both made from liquid eggs and were greasy. Waffle had a great texture, but so much vanilla that it was a distinct aftertaste. Bacon was perfect! Iced tea was surprisingly good. Service makes the call that it's two stars rather than three. Our server took our orders (with much explaining to her of what the menu said), then came back five minutes later with menus to start over as if she'd never seen us before. My waffle was missing its syrup. Dad had to explain to servers who were merrily bidding him "goodbye! have a nice day!" that he'd like to pay the check before leaving. Had the food been great, it would have been comic -- but with mediocre food, it was so irritating. If it's your neighborhood restaurant, you can probably figure out how to make this a favorite hangout -- it was certainly busy enough to suggest lots of people have! -- but if you're a visitor from out of Stockton, there are plenty of better restaurants on Pacific. read more

I ask for a 'Wet' Scrambled egg with my French Toast combo. Please understand to make a wet scrambled egg it's not easy to do and it's also difficult if your turn is not right with the French toast both of which came out Is nicely hot and fresh. Also the service was good. I had Marianne's as my server. She made sure that my coffee was hot, and she asked me if I wanted anything else before I left. And the best part of Marianne was she never once convinced me that the food was good ...that was already assumed. So yes this is a place you must go to if you're looking for a good affordable breakfast. This place is not a fancy restaurant if you're looking for fancy go somewhere else. For a cheap dining experience, this is the place! I mean that in a good way. My party of 3 dropped in around 12:30 pm and the restaurant had just a few tables full. We were happy with the portion sizes of the food we got for lunch. 3 burgers all cooked the way we requested along with a helpful amount of fries. Our waitress was attentive and nice. The restaurant needs a little reboot. It looks like a truck stop eatery. Although, the waitress that served us was really friendly and entertaining. I actually like the waitresses that were working there. They have a very friendly staff so that helps a lot. Our breakfast we ordered was ok. I ordered a vegetarian omelet with hashbrowns that didn't really have any taste to it. Very bland tasting breakfast, actually. My husband ordered his staple meal when we go out to breakfast which is chicken fried steak. He thought it was ok. Could have used a little more seasoning, but hey it wasn't the worst. We just happened upon this place. I was pleasantly surprised. It was very clean and welcoming. We had Jasmin as our server...she was very attentive and polite. I had the All Meat Omelette... delicious! The ham was grilled and added a fantastic flavor. The hash browns were nice and crispy as requested. I opted for the biscuit and gravy as my bread choice. It was not as exciting as the rest of my meal. The biscuit seemed to be pre-made and the gravy was basic pepper gravy. Overall, it was great!
