I've been here twice and the same server was genuinely friendly and pleasant. Wish I got her name to give her kudos. Their pancakes with fresh strawberries and whipped cream are fresh on my mind. Our table shared it and wished we ordered a second plate! Mt sister's and cousin's veggie omelettes were perfect and so were my sausage and eggs. We also shared the side country potatoes with huge chunks of potatoes perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Inside is cozy and inviting. The first time I came with my friend and had their country fried steak and waffle (not a combo, ordered separately). They have a nice outdoor seating area that's dog friendly.

Great food and amazing service. I've heard about California Al's and I finally had a chance to visit. Celebrated an early Mother's Day lunch and enjoyed the quiet outdoor patio. Definitely a must try!!

Was there with a friend and decided to try this cute little restaurant instead of one of the chains. Ordered the California burger and we were amazed with the first bite! It is obvious this is a real handmade all beef patty with amazing flavor. We can't wait to come back to try the breakfast and some of the other sandwiches.

Great place for breakfast. They have dining indoor and out on their patio area. It's a small restaurant but the food and service is big. We've been here a few times and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. During my last visit I had the bacon spinach scramble. It was delicious. I've tried their omelets as well. I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast when in this area.

The restaurant is a bit upscale and pricey-although many restaurant prices have increased-so it is reasonable just a matter of what you order and are expecting. The drinks were made pretty strong and worth the price. For large groups they have a group menu under the appetizers that has three categories individual serving, double serving or a platter which would equate to three servings. We did a couple appetizers for double servings. There also was a cast iron bread which I highly recommend-we didn't find it on the menu but another adjacent table had ordered it -we asked, ordered and we demolished it. I even forgot to take photos of the bread. For the main dishes the fish and chips was worth it, I didn't get any positive feedback on the ravioli that many of the people in the group had ordered. The one who had the Beef Wellington said it was worth it. There were two in the group that ordered the beef stroganoff that weren't able to fjnish their dish. We all forgot about the shepherds pie--maybe next time.

The sandwich came with a grilled chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, pepper jack cheese, crispy fried onions, and jalapeño dressing on grilled ciabatta bread. I also upgraded my fries to their Bleu fries (topped with bleu cheese crumbles and bleu cheese dressing). The fries were definitely a highlight--served hot, crispy, and perfectly paired with the bleu cheese. My husband was really impressed with the fish and chips, which he hadn't tried here before. The fish was beer-battered and fried, served with fries and coleslaw. He especially liked the coleslaw, noting that it tasted fresh with great flavor and wasn't overly coated in mayo. The food itself was very flavorful, so taste was not the issue. Unfortunately, the temperature was. The steak was barely warm, and both sides were completely cold. My dining companion and I were starving and on a limited schedule, so we did not want to spend additional time trying to flag someone down and waiting for the food to be reheated. Instead, we waited--and waited--for our server to return so we could ask for boxes. We ultimately took the food home to reheat and eat later, which is obviously not the experience you expect when dining at a restaurant. That brings me to the service, which has also declined over my last several visits. Our server never checked in after the food was delivered. Had she stopped by shortly after we began eating, we could have addressed the temperature issue and possibly had enough time to enjoy the meal properly. Instead, she was nowhere to be found until the end. I am not sure whether the food is sitting too long before being picked up or if the kitchen is not monitoring temperatures properly, but something needs to be corrected. Servers should also check on their tables at least once during the meal--not only return at the end when it is time to bring the check and collect a tip. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously because I know this restaurant is capable of providing a much better experience.

It's contemporary and the furnishings are quite comfortable. It's the type of place you can settle in and have a casual meal without feeling rushed. Prices are high yet the quality is excellent. For the first evening at the bar we settled into a high top table. You can sit at the bar, lounge type seating or outdoors on a pleasantly shaded patio. They had an expanded bar bites menu as the main restaurant is closed on Wednesdays... most of it quite enticing. We opted for cocktails to start and I chose a specialty Date Maple Old Fashioned. It was really good with a large ice ball to chill it. For bar bites we shared the pork belly sandwiches (small, delicious but messy to eat), the sausage skewers (amazing!) and crab cups (refreshingly light and easy to eat). After cocktails we had glasses of a light white wine, made with Santorini Greek grapes. For the next meal in the dining room the place was a buzz with activity but conversation was easy without a lot of excessive noise. It's intimate and the room is quite pleasant for a gourmet meal. We started with cocktails (same Old Fashioned) and shared the grilled Brussels Sprouts which were plentiful and ever so delicious. They were slightly over grilled for my taste yet it didn't distract from me enjoying them. We got bread which was a baguette with butter and the consistency perfect for a French style loaf. For my entree I debated between the scallops and the pork chop and went with the chop. I was quite pleased as the chop came in thick slices and drizzled with a tarragon mustard reduction sauce. It was amazing, tender, juicy and at 22oz I couldn't finish it all. It came with a tasty apple sauce and grilled seared cabbage. Absolutely delicious. Ed, celebrating a birthday, had steak which came with a huge bowl of mashed potatoes which I tasted. Oh my gosh, the creamiest potatoes ever! For dessert we shared the cheese plate, a really great way to end the meal, with glasses of a twany port. All of the cheeses from a brie to a hard cheese were top quality. Service both times was very attentive, professional yet personable. We were well cared for and everything went smoothly. It's expensive yet the experience and value is worth visiting. The filet was a BEAUTIFUL piece of meat cooked to an absolutely prefect medium rare. However there was no flavor. Believe me when I say it must've had four grains of salt and that was it. No pepper no fucken nothin. Some poor Mignon cow lost his life for this bullshit. Like it was just a piece of meat with no seasoning. I almost asked for some A-1 just to choke it down. The mashed potatoes or excuse me "potato fucken purée" was average at best. Wife found her Salmon to be mid. For dessert we took the chocolate cake thing, and the strawberry cheesecake to go. The chocolate cake was like a 7/10 and the cheesecake was just like three separate piles of fuckery. Like the ingredients were just piled in the box waiting for assembly. It was the weirdest shit I've ever seen in my life. I should've taken a picture of it. Oh yeah the asshole piña colada wasn't blended it was just on the rocks with a nice paper fucken straw to slowly add some smoked wood flavor to my adult beverage. For $200 (plus tip mind you) this meal should've knocked my fucken socks off. Good lord this place needs some SERIOUS help. I can tell that the cooks know what they're doing but fuck man season the damn food. So in closing 1)season the food 2)ditch the paper straws 3)and blend the fucken drinks Oh I forgot to mention "ambiance". Think of a double wide from the 1970s with the floor vent collecting food crumbs under me then blowing air up my skirt. It was a nice touch.

I visited Nash + Tender Lodi in Lodi, CA [123 W Elm St] on Tuesday, 06/23/26, around 12:45 PM…read more For lunch, I proceeded to order the #1 Combo, which came with 2 Hot Chicken Sliders, Mac N Cheese ($2 upgrade), a side of special sauce, and a Strawberry Kiwi Lemonade. The Hot Chicken Sliders were flavorful and paired so well with the special sauce. The Mac N Cheese was decent. The Strawberry Lemonade was absolutely refreshing. The inside of the restaurant was clean. There were a good number of tables and chairs available for customers, indoors and outdoors. Nash + Tender Lodi makes solid chicken slider sandwiches. I recommend stopping by.

I stopped into Nash & Tender for lunch after reading some positive reviews. Well the reviewers…read moreweren't wrong, because the food and service were great. I ordered a #3 combo and a side of ranch for $17.50 before tip and tax. It came with a large slider, another chicken breast on toast, a large serving of crinckle cut fries, and a drink. It was a lot of food and I had leftovers, so I was happy with the size of the portions. The slider had a big, thick, piece of fried chicken breast on it. It was a little spicey, topped with pickles, sauce, cole slaw and served on a nice brioche bun. It was one of the better chicken sandwiches I've had in a while and very satisfying. The chicken breast on toast, was silimar and just as satisfying. The fries were hot, chispy, and lightly seasoned. I enjoyed every one as I dunked them in sauce and munched them down. The staff was nice, and prepared my food quickly. The dining room was basic, but functional, and the drinks were self-serve. I'm happy to give them 5 stars. The food was really good.
