We were pretty excited to try Randy's Bistro out after always passing by it for the past couple of months. They offer brunch, lunch, and dinner with a lot of specials and themed dining nights that you have to keep up with. Brunch was okay. I think I was expecting a lot from them food-wise, but maybe that was my mistake to do so. Service was really good. Everyone was very welcoming and nice and made sure all of our needs were met. The banana chocolate chip waffles were very good. It is hard to mess up waffles, especially when you can never go wrong with banana and chocolate, and it was exactly what I wanted. I also ordered a side of sausage and you get 3 for $5. The biscuit (though not the traditional shape) was very tasty. Not dry at all and tasted just how you would want a biscuit to taste like. I probably wouldn't order the gravy again. Overall, I'm glad I stopped by to try them out, but I probably wouldn't come back for brunch. Maybe for dinner? Stay tuned! read more

Came to visit one of my friends and we wanted a brunch place. I knew what I wanted to order before we got to the restaurant. There's no parking available and majority is street parking. We were able to grab a table right away since it was early and the lunch crowd didn't come yet. Indoors is lowly lit and has this intimate yet cozy ambience. They have this industrial like indoor decor that I really liked. Even though it was lowly lit, each table has their own lamp. I was instantly drawn to their crab cake benedict. There were options for half and full and I went with the full since I came hungry. My friend ordered the Mediterranean scramble and she got a full as well. Our waitress offered the day's special which was a quiche but we went with our menu choices. Our orders came out fairly quickly and boy, was I impressed. My crab cake benedict was everything I expected it to be and more. The poached eggs sit on 2 toasted English muffins. It was so flavorful, a little salty because of the crab but it did come with a slice of lemon. I got my dish with a side of country style potatoes and yes, I finished my entire dish. It was too good to stop! My friend's scramble was also very large and looked really good too. She enjoyed it and took half home. Upon looking at the menu, Randy's Bistro has a little something for everyone for brunch, lunch and dinner. Since my friend is local, she plans to come back (it was her first time too). Yesterday we were able to go to Monday Night Dinner at Randy's. It's been one of our go-to breakfast spots. Randy and all the staff are so genuinely nice and very accommodating. We love everything we have tried here. On Monday evenings, they do different cuisine with a special menu. You can find the restaurant on social media platforms (I use Facebook) as well as their website. He puts updates on upcoming menus. Last night was filipino cuisine. Everything we had was delicious. I'm very selective on what I normally order, and we brought friends that loved it as much as we did. Randy has also catered party trays that I've used for my business lunches and everyone has given positive feedback that they love the food from there. They will book private events at the restaurant, and together you can design a menu for your event. I am planning on reserving for early next year, but it's a cute place to host a dinner. Their service was so top notch that I almost drank 3 cups of coffee accidentally because they made sure my cup was always filled! Both dishes we got were phenomenal. Terrible. Bad service. Rude servers. Food came 45 mins late. Bad food. Food was dry and tasted like a frozen cheap dinner. Cheap ambience. Tacky and somewhat dirty in places. Definitely overpriced! NOT worth it! Especially in this economy. I would recommend they learn how to treat customers, how to cook and how to run a real restaurant before trying to open one. We were a little skeptical of the reviews but this place was truly phenomenal. My fiancé and I just moved to Lodi and were exploring new food places. This food was incredible. My fiancé got the Lobster Ravioli and I got the Belgian Waffle with fresh strawberries added. Our server let us know that the drinks we ordered (Brown Sugar Lemonade and Orange Juice) were made to order. And he was so kind. It was all so delicious and fresh and perfect. My first time here. The inside was really cute. We had the coffee and they had half and half, vanilla, and hazelnut creamer. My kids ordered the hot chocolate. We all enjoyed our food. We met Randy at an outdoor event. He served us a flavorful clam chowder so when he invited us to check out his restaurant, we were excited to try out more items from the menu. The place is located on the corner of a retail shopping strip, across a gym. Street parking if you can get it. We ended up parking across the street. Ambiance is warm and friendly. Feels like a nice place to hang out with friends and family. Our server was very good and attentive. For Monday evenings, he has different themes. The one we tried was the Seafood Cuisine. We started off with the shrimp and crab louie salad (delicious!), followed by the truffle lobster mac n cheese, cilantro crab fried rice, and the whole dungeness crab with garlic noodles - the portion is big enough to share. My friend's son could not stop raving about the lobster mac n cheese! I am used to crab that has more juice to it when you crack it but the crab I had was nevertheless very good! We finished out the meal with a mango custard. I definitely will be coming back to try out their other Monday themed menus. The owner came out to chat with us and was very nice. I ordered corn beef hash for breakfast. Despite the menu, it did not come with a side of country potatoes. Portions were scant, with the CBH being paper thin. Tasted okay, but compared to other local options, not a strong consideration. Chicken and waffles special was average. The waffle was fluffy and crisp, but the chicken was bland. Service was decent. Server was not entirely familiar with the menu, but all good. Positive notes: clean and good ambiance. Just had dinner and it was excellent. It was German food tonight it was very tasty, with good size servings. The dessert tonight was apple strudel! It took over an hour to get our food. On top of that the prices were very high compared to other places we were going to eat at, which included local ones. We first tried Denis' Country Kitchen about 6 years ago. It was pretty awful. Now with the new ownership and positive social media feedback, we decided to give it another try. Wow, were we wrong. Worst breakfast experience we've had in 6 years. I ordered a basic breakfast with bacon and my husband ordered the chicken fried steak. We both asked for the country potatoes to be well done/crispy. We waited and waited and waited some more. I assumed when people that came in after us got food before us... it was because the potatoes were taking time to make extra crispy. Boy, was I wrong. Our potatoes were barely cooked. Two of my bacon slices were dripping with grease and one was dry and brittle. I was given the wrong toast. My husband's eggs were barely cooked and somehow, they managed to make a chicken fried steak, smothered in gravy... dry. We sat there for quite some time with barely touched plates before the waitress came back, only to give us our check. She asked how everything was, and our response was "terrible". She had no desire to ask what was wrong or really seem to have any care about it at all. She just walked away without saying anything and came back with a new check with 50% off. I respect that they actually did something... but it would have been nice if they asked for feedback or something to try and improve for the future. We often eat at Avenue Grill and Woodbridge Café for Sunday brunch and have never had a bad meal at either. DCK was just sad. Took forever for awful food. Had to stop at McDonald's on the way home to actually have something to eat. I have absolutely no idea where the reviewers that are raving on social media are eating... because it's surely not here. read more
