    Mediterranean scramble
    Linda D.

Came to visit one of my friends and we wanted a brunch place. I knew what I wanted to order before we got to the restaurant. There's no parking available and majority is street parking. We were able to grab a table right away since it was early and the lunch crowd didn't come yet. Indoors is lowly lit and has this intimate yet cozy ambience. They have this industrial like indoor decor that I really liked. Even though it was lowly lit, each table has their own lamp. I was instantly drawn to their crab cake benedict. There were options for half and full and I went with the full since I came hungry. My friend ordered the Mediterranean scramble and she got a full as well. Our waitress offered the day's special which was a quiche but we went with our menu choices. Our orders came out fairly quickly and boy, was I impressed. My crab cake benedict was everything I expected it to be and more. The poached eggs sit on 2 toasted English muffins. It was so flavorful, a little salty because of the crab but it did come with a slice of lemon. I got my dish with a side of country style potatoes and yes, I finished my entire dish. It was too good to stop! My friend's scramble was also very large and looked really good too. She enjoyed it and took half home. Upon looking at the menu, Randy's Bistro has a little something for everyone for brunch, lunch and dinner. Since my friend is local, she plans to come back (it was her first time too). Service was excellent and our waitress was very nice. She didn't rush us with eating nor the bill. Next time when I'm in town, I'll be sure to visit again.

Yesterday we were able to go to Monday Night Dinner at Randy's. It's been one of our go-to breakfast spots. Randy and all the staff are so genuinely nice and very accommodating. We love everything we have tried here. On Monday evenings, they do different cuisine with a special menu. You can find the restaurant on social media platforms (I use Facebook) as well as their website. He puts updates on upcoming menus. Last night was filipino cuisine. Everything we had was delicious. I'm very selective on what I normally order, and we brought friends that loved it as much as we did. Randy has also catered party trays that I've used for my business lunches and everyone has given positive feedback that they love the food from there. They will book private events at the restaurant, and together you can design a menu for your event. I am planning on reserving for early next year, but it's a cute place to host a dinner. We will return in the not too distant future

Breakfast favorite. Chicken Fried Steak & Egg, over-easy, country potatoes and gravy. Very good! A must order.

This is a great place for food, come hungry, everything is good. Great breakfast, brunch. Very hearty and comfort foods. Coffee is good and hot. I heard the waiter say Chicken adobo and Fried rice. I'll have to try this next time.

Just got home from a great German dinner at Randys Bistro. My parrot, Buddy is enjoying some of my leftovers for dinner. If you haven't tried Randys Bistro, you should. I have never had anything there that I don't like. You can order off of the menu or try their specials. These change and do not disappoint.

An awesome spot to grab brunch. Cozy diner vibes! The staff was so friendly and made us feel right at home. Their service was so top notch that I almost drank 3 cups of coffee accidentally because they made sure my cup was always filled! Both dishes we got were phenomenal. I got a chicken fried steak, this dish was so comforting, and so delicious with the gravy on top. We also got a waffle to share for the table and it also came with a side of Berry compote that was delectable. We will definitely be back!

Great Bloody Mary but small portions and I've never been somewhere where some kind of toast didn't come with the breakfast. Pricey as well. Cute establishment and service was good.

    Belgian Waffle Breakfast Brunch

We were a little skeptical of the reviews but this place was truly phenomenal. My fiancé and I just moved to Lodi and were exploring new food places. This food was incredible. My fiancé got the Lobster Ravioli and I got the Belgian Waffle with fresh strawberries added. Our server let us know that the drinks we ordered (Brown Sugar Lemonade and Orange Juice) were made to order. And he was so kind. It was all so delicious and fresh and perfect. We will be coming back!!!

Nice little neighborhood bistro. I taken the family here a few times for breakfast. The Food is always good and tasty. Try the Belgium waffle!! Yummy. Hollandaise was also pretty good and prepared from scratch. Only complaint is like every-one their getting a bit pricey!! Nice time was had by all. Thanks Randy's

    Strawberry waffle

The food was really good, I ordered the strawberry waffle and it was so delicious! Good portions too. Our server was nice and friendly with our kids which is always a plus. The tables and whole place was clean! Tables were decorated with red roses and a light which makes the place cozy.

    Smoked Salmon Benedict

My mom, sister, and I ate here for the first time and everything was amazing! Definitely the best breakfast we've had in a loooooong time. The Benedicts (my sister had the smoked salmon and I had the crab cakes) and the tri tip scrambled breakfast were all so flavorful & the French toast *chef's kiss* was delicious. Friendly staff, cozy vibe, and food made with real care. We will definitely be back

My first time here. The inside was really cute. We had the coffee and they had half and half, vanilla, and hazelnut creamer. My kids ordered the hot chocolate. We all enjoyed our food. One pancake may of been a little overcooked but still yummy. Their service and staff were very attentive and friendly. They also had some Filipino options that I want them try next time. Overall I had a great experience and will be coming back.

Food was great we came for breakfast did not disappoint as u can see cleared the whole plate

    Pork Lumpia was delicious

This restaurant is great! The owner is so personable & checks in with every table. He offers a variety of dishes from different countries. And everyone Monday he has a special menu. 10 out of 10. Make sure you try it out.

I knew there was a Black Bear Diner here in Lodi, it over on the west side of town. Just head west on West Kettleman Lane and you come to it on the right. It's in the Safeway and CVS Pharmacy parking lot. Lots of parking, can't miss it. I go in and get seated. I see breakfast offerings as well as dinner kinda stuff. The server is nice and friendly and the inside here is yes, very Beary themed! I order an omelet, i forgot what the exact name of it was, but it had avocados on top and I got it with the hashbrowns. This restaurant looks like they still get a decent amount of business even at dinner time. The food was very tasty and decent as it was exactly what I expected. No weird surprises. I like Black Bear cause they're very consistent in the food. I'll come back to this location again if I'm ever "stuck in Lodi again"!

Personally, I don't like big, corporate-backed venues like Denny's & IHOP, but since this place in Lodi got good reviews, I thought I would give it a try. But again, since it was a big-name restaurant, my expectations were low. PROS: - First off, excellent service, a well staffed kitchen & dining area. Dining area atmosphere very warm as well, with lots of families enjoying their meals. - Our waiter was Eduardo. A very attentive guy, who brought out our meals less than 10 minutes from time of order. GIVE THIS GUY A RAISE! - Did the, "Build your own Breakfast" with steak, eggs & pancakes. The pancakes were excellent... golden brown, not burnt, and large & fluffy. These guys know how to make classic pancakes !!! - Ordered orange juice. IT WAS DELICIOUS. I was expecting some watery, sugary juice substitute, but this was REAL ORANGE JUICE. (Minute Maid) CONS: - The steak was quiet, "Meh". Sure, it just a standard portion of a, "Build your own B'fast" meal, but the steak itself was so unimpressive, like it came from one of those microwave steaks at Walmart. - I understand that eggs are expensive nowadays, but I ordered three (3) eggs, but they were so small, that it felt like eating just two eggs. CONCLUSION: Great restaurant with great vibes. Just wish that the steak & eggs portion of my breakfast were bigger. The pancake portion was just fine. Will go there again and give them the chance to earn five stars from me.

The restaurant is a bit upscale and pricey-although many restaurant prices have increased-so it is reasonable just a matter of what you order and are expecting. We did a couple appetizers for double servings. There also was a cast iron bread which I highly recommend-we didn't find it on the menu but another adjacent table had ordered it -we asked, ordered and we demolished it. I even forgot to take photos of the bread. For the main dishes the fish and chips was worth it, I didn't get any positive feedback on the ravioli that many of the people in the group had ordered. The one who had the Beef Wellington said it was worth it. There were two in the group that ordered the beef stroganoff that weren't able to fjnish their dish. I genuinely love this restaurant, which makes my last few visits especially disappointing…read more On my most recent visit, I ordered the beef brochette--Angus steak chunks served with pasta and mixed vegetables. The food itself was very flavorful, so taste was not the issue. Unfortunately, the temperature was. The steak was barely warm, and both sides were completely cold. My dining companion and I were starving and on a limited schedule, so we did not want to spend additional time trying to flag someone down and waiting for the food to be reheated. Instead, we waited--and waited--for our server to return so we could ask for boxes. We ultimately took the food home to reheat and eat later, which is obviously not the experience you expect when dining at a restaurant. That brings me to the service, which has also declined over my last several visits. Our server never checked in after the food was delivered. Had she stopped by shortly after we began eating, we could have addressed the temperature issue and possibly had enough time to enjoy the meal properly. Instead, she was nowhere to be found until the end. I am not sure whether the food is sitting too long before being picked up or if the kitchen is not monitoring temperatures properly, but something needs to be corrected. Servers should also check on their tables at least once during the meal--not only return at the end when it is time to bring the check and collect a tip. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously because I know this restaurant is capable of providing a much better experience.
