I used to come here when this was a Rubio's so I decided to stop and try out this new establishment yesterday. I ordered a gyro plate and an order of Nick's fries. I was hungry. The interior looks the same, just rebranded but someone was wiping everything down so it seemed clean. The meat was fine and the salad was ok but there was only taziki with the pita and no hummus so it was quite plain. The fries by themselves were bad. They were white and limp and cold, but the toppings on the Nick's fries were good. I had to add the fries from my gyro plate into my Nick's fries and mix it all together to be able to eat them. It was pricey so I would probably not come back unless I had some crazy craving for Greek food.

Like other reviews have stated, we arrived right when they opened and the meat did seem to have been cooked the prior day. It was lukewarm and rubbery. I would definitely come back during the lunch rush if I were to visit again in the hopes of getting something fresh. I tried multiple items here including the gyro plate and Nick's fries. The plain fries that came as a side on the plate were terrible. They were soggy, and undercooked at the same time. Both bland and limp. That being said, the Nick Fries with pork were much better, so get your fries smothered if you decide to get them here and go with the rice if you are getting a plain side to your meal. The salad was fine and the pita was nice but it only came with yogurt which helped the dryness a bit and tasted ok but for the price the plate should come with hummus. I'm not sure that I will return based on my experience, but if I do, I will sample some of their desserts and hopefully it will sweeten the experience.

I've been here multiple times. The food is consistent and tasty. The restaurant is well kept and clean. The food portions for their bowls are enough for two meals if you're not super hungry. This is a great fast-casual lunch or dinner spot.

I was super excited for Nick the Greek to open. They have several menu options...gyros, kebabs and bowls. My son and I each had the steak pita with fries. The food was good but not what I was hoping for. The pitas are grilled to the point of them becoming a bit tough. I prefer them to be soft and fluffy. Because they are on the harder side, my sandwich quickly fell apart. The fries are also just ok. Our favorite part of the meal was dessert-we had the plain loukoumades and they were delicious! Service was quick and friendly so I plan on returning to give it another chance and maybe try one of their bowls. While it wasn't the best Greek food I've had it is a solid option.

I've eaten from this location multiple times. I've ordered it through DoorDash and dined in a couple of times. I enjoy the consistency of the flavor and quality for their food. The service has always been great, clean restaurant and food always comes out fairly quickly. Great lunch spot!

My first experience with this place was at a catered event. I was impressed, and decided to try the restaurant. I'm still impressed. The restaurant itself is pretty basic inside. Clean and open space. The menu is very straight forward and easy to read and understand. The person taking our order was friendly and helpful, answering any questions we had. The food was excellent! Fresh and flavorful, the portions were good size and well presented. I will definitely be going back to explore more of the menu and so should you!!

Admittedly, I was being lazy and what I really wanted was a gyro from the Greek Festival. Since I wasn't in the mood for a crowd, I tried to satisfy my longing with a gyro from Nick the Greek. The setting was new, bright and staff was friendly. They serve the basic gyro with fries on top of the filling. The filling was plain but the bread seemed like it was toasted or maybe it was just crackly on the outside. I don't like crackly bread for my gyro. When I say the filling was plain, it's because I'm used to a lil more added than mainly meat. The meat was VERY good. It was full of flavor. Next time, I think I'll get a salad The salads look like they are prepared with love. I also ordered garlic fries. The fries were the shape and style of In and Out fries. They were thin and limp. The garlic ratio on the fries was good. Overall, I felt this place is okay. For sure there is room for growth... I wish I could give half stars. I'd give a 3.5.

Came here for the Grand Opening on August 26 and received a free entree from 11:00AM - 2:30PM! They passed out samples of their frozen yogurt while people were in line waiting and it was creamy, on the more tart side but still sweet and so enjoyable. I'm definitely coming back solely for their frozen yogurt! I was holding the menu and pointed to the Chicken Souvlaki Plate, but the cashier seemed really stressed out and ended up ringing me up for the Chicken Souvlaki Pita instead. I was able to get a side of Nick's Fries and also a drink for free! My mom got the Beef/Lamb Gyro Pita along with a side of Nick's Fries and also a drink as well. We wanted to try their rice by sharing the Plate but we'll just have to come back. Pass on the chicken souvlaki, the flavor was great but I felt like the amount of chicken that was inside was a bit skimpy for the pita. The pita itself was soft and the mustard sauce was so delicious, it ever so slightly sweet! The tomatoes were cut way too small though. Overall this pita was mainly just bread rather than toppings The beef/lamb gyro on the other hand was so good, I really didn't expect to like this one over the chicken souvlaki. Their tzatziki sauce is creamy and brightens up the pita and you get so much more meat even though it's sliced thin, it still feels heartier than the chicken souvlaki. Not to mention the meat is tender and flavorful! We also got a side of Nick's Fries which were fresh cut fries topped with garlic, feta cheese, scallions, dill, a spicy yogurt sauce and gyro meat. It was tasty but the fries are reminiscent of In-n-out fries where they get soggy super easily and are really limp, so I'd pass on this next time since the pita is enough to fill you up. This is a chain restaurant but still a good addition to Stockton.

I love this place! The food is exactly what I want, all the time, but I can't realistically come here everyday! The service is another aspect that brings me back- Juan's smiling face is very welcoming and he always makes sure everything is how I wanted it. Try it!! I love the Gyro Bowl as well as the Chicken Souvlaki plate.

I really enjoyed my experience here at Nick the Greek! Service was quick and friendly. This is a chain that I have tried in the bay and really enjoyed so I was excited when they brought one here into Stockton. If you have a sweet tooth , the Greek yogurt with baklava and honey is absolutely heavenly! I also really enjoyed my falafel pita :) I was here for a little while with a friend and then reading alone. Space was clean and comfortable.

This is some rubbery chicken skin they stuffed in my pita , absolutely terrible.

We were excited to try nick the Greek, when I walked in there were so many people eating and seemed like it was a great place to try but I am very , very disappointed in this food. The chicken is dry and in mine it was just a nasty piece of chicken skin that looked like it was boiled. The side of Greek fry's will have you keeping the vampires away forever! Garlic was so heavy it made my car stink.

Recently ordered from here using DoorDash. We ordered two chicken gyro pitas. Where it is a little pricey, I'm assuming due to the DoorDash fees, the gyro was really good. Full of flavor, and even had I think fries in there, gave a good crunch. The chicken had great flavor, everything tasted fresh. Will have to try them again, but possibly in restaurant to see what other options we would like.

Tried the new Greek spot that took over the old Rubio's. I got takeout for lunch -- the Mediterranean bowl with steak and lamb combo, plus pita, soda, and a side of Greek fries. The bowl was big, super flavorful, and the meat was tender. I like that it comes with some salad to balance everything out. Fries were okay, a little soft (probably from takeout), but still tasty. Service was fast and the place looked clean. Overall, really good food and solid portions -- I'll definitely be back to try more!
