Yummy! Some of the best hummus I've had. Sabra who? Yeah I said it. Yafa Hummus is for sure one of my favorite places to grab a bite in Lodi right now. They have so many fresh, healthy options and I'm never waiting long for my very vegan friendly food. We like to order the build your own bowls, me with my falafel and he with his various meats. You can fit so many things in that bowl for $15. Enough food for two meals, and the ingredients are high quality. Win win. I like to do a salad base with my bowl (though one could choose rice or hummus base) with either the Mediterranean salad or the kale slaw, falafel, pesto hummus (all their hummus is fantastic), and whichever additional salad I didn't pick for the base. The Greek salad is also good just not as good as the other two in my opinion. Falafels are small but made to order and absolutely delicious. I do wish I could get moar in the bowl but I get it. I'm always willing to pay for quality food. Pita on the side is a must (comes with the bowl) and if you're feeling extra snacky they have tasty pita chips as well (additional cost, not included with bowl). Sauce is boss here as well. You get two with the bowl. The only one I don't care for is the vegan tahini but it's there if you want it. I love the tzatziki and creamy garlic sauces. The garlic is probs my fave. Don't want the bowl? They've got platters, snacks, fusion stuff, smothered fries, and wraps among other things. Dang it I'm hungry writing a Yelp review again. Such a problem. Anyhoo. We've eaten inside before but usually take our order to go for lunch. Customer service is solid and efficient. They have a clean dining area and self serve soda machine. I like Yafa a lot. The value is there considering quailty of what you get. I like getting bowls. It's $15 bucks you get a protein choice with a base (such as rice or greens) 2 sides, pita, and 2 sauces. I'll take rice, gyro/ chicken, that hot sauce and tzitziki. Garlic sauce is also fire. One of the side choices gotta be that tasty hummus. It is Yafa Hummas, after all. Then trying the rest of the sides. The rice hits. The Mediterranean salad hits, the baba ganoush hits. Brought my mom here for lunch the day before yesterday. I've been here a couple times and was telling her about the Baba ghanoush on the way home from the city so she asked me to take her here to try it. She loved all of the things she tried and that's not an easy accomplishment with her lately. We both ordered bowls with Greek salad bases, gyro meat, dolma, baba ghanoush, tsatziki and garlic sauce on top. I really love how large the portions are here because I could easily get 3 healthy meals out of one bowl and a side of full pita. The restaurant is also very clean and cute and the service is great! For those wondering - the wrap isn't not lathered with the red sauce and then toasted instead it is a plain wrap. Nonetheless it tasted great. This is, by far, one of my favorite restaurants in town, now. I can't wait to try more of the menu. I really really enjoyed my food selection here and the quality of the meat from here. The two guys working here were also very friendly and helpful and very suggestive of different food items and what were inside of them. And also what to possibly try as a nice dessert from their establishment. They had a little kiosk inside, which is how we placed our order and then about 10 minutes later our food was ready for pick up. Everything that we ordered was really good if you prefer to dine in there are some seating available inside as well. The Yafa Hummus in Tracy is my favorite, but this Lodi location was just okay. Everything had too much tomato, and I didn't love that you can't actually see all the choices and toppings while ordering. I wish it were more Chipotle-style, where you can see all the fresh ingredients and build your meal as you go. The food was fine, just not as good or customizable as the Tracy location. read more

Yafa Hummus is a new obsession for me. I love the hummus, falafel, bean salad and pita chips. I didn't realize the falafel was made to order. I saw them scooping out the mixture and cooking it and I was happy to see that it's made fresh. They aren't frozen. Yafa Hummus is a pretty good place for Mediterranean style food. They have a somewhat limited menu, but everything is of good quality, and the quality is consistent. Although they are probably the most expensive restaurant for this kind of food in town, their servings are also probably bigger than others. Personally I think their hummus is ok but I prefer the style you find at The Dancing Fox. However their babaganoush is excellent. Customizing your order can be a challenge because their register system doesn't allow you to swap things out unfortunately. That's not to say that it can't be done, just that it's a challenge. My main complaint is that they use bitter herbs instead of lettuce, which wilt when wrapped up with something warm like meat or falafel, and they lack the fresh crunch you get with regular lettuce. This is so far the best Yafa Hummus location to me. The service is amazing!!! A worker by the name Zack was so friendly, kind, attentive and generous. It's rare to find people like him and he really made our visit special on Eid. You can tell Zack has a good heart. Usually, I go to the one in Livermore to meet halfway with my friends but from now on, I will go here as the service and the attitude of the employees go a long way. The ambiance is nice too. Clean, calm and well lit (but not too annoyingly bright. Thank you so much! I recommend the shawarma wrap, lentil soup and baklava ice cream. Honestly though, everything is good here. Was craving Mediterranean food and stopped by this Lodi restaurant while traveling down to Central California. We decided to dine in since we had been on the road for several hours. The restaurant itself is small and has more of a vibe to take food to go - as we saw several door dashers come and go during our hour there. But there are plenty of small tables available for dining in, and well air conditioned. Ordered a beef Gyro, dolmas, and falafels. The Gyro was a notably generous size with a good helping of tzatziki sauce, white onions, and tomato. The dolmas tasted fresh and the falafels were smaller in size than I am used to but still good. We paired with tahini and chili sauce. Large dessert assortment available but did not have any today. Good flavors over all, quick to serve or take to go. I have been here a handful of times and each time the food has been amazing and always made super fresh! I took my mom for the first time and Murad, our server, was such a great host! Since it was my mom's first time trying this type of food I appreciated how patient he was while she took some time to make her order, even letting her try some of the baby ganoush! He let us try the different sauces and we loved the tahini and tzakiki. We both ordered the bowls which were filled to the brim, and all of it came out fresh (he cooked the chicken as soon as we ordered it!) My mom was so happy she found a new favorite spot! This is a fairly new location so it is clean and bright inside. It is a really nice addition to the area and it's nice to have more vegetarian options here. The falafel deluxe wrap here is my so far. It tastes fresh and I like the texture but at $15 I really have to be craving Mediterranean to forgo the other, less expensive vegetarian options in this parking lot. You can get vegetarian Chinese or Mexican for less just a few doors down. The falafel itself here is some of the best I have had well seasoned and not too dry. I don't care for the seasoning they put on the fries here so I need to start requesting they leave it off or asking to substitute them for something else when I do come. They have lots of options for sides, so I hope that won't be an issue. Also, the baklava here is a bit sweet and syrupy for my taste. We arrived a little before 7 and there was no one inside, mostly due to the holiday. We were greeted right away by a young man who took our order. I did the bowl for $15 and $16.24 after tax. I had my bowl made with brown rice, falafel, classic hummus, and kale-slaw topped with vegan tahini. It was solid. I love Middle Eastern cuisine. I spent six weeks backpacking in the Middle East in Jordan, Egypt, Israel, and Turkey. The cuisine here and folks are from Palestine. They are very friendly. They have a variety of sauces you can top your bowl off with but my favorite was the tzatziki. My cousin tried their spicy hummus and it had a very good kick to it! First thing I noticed were the flavors. I was expecting this location to taste exactly the same as the original branch in Tracy, but turns out the student has become the master.
