The delicious food and generous portions made up for the service. Chicken platter: 10/10. Flavorful and plenty of leftovers for dinner. Loved the hummus and pita too. Bacon Cheeseburger: 9/10 for the bite my husband shared. Chicken Shawarma fries: 8.5/10. Flavorful sauce and also plenty of leftovers to take home. Side of falafel: 10/10. Crispy, fluffy, light, herbaceous, and perfect. They were still good later that night warmed up in the air fryer. Turkish delight: 9.5/10 and appropriately named. A little chewy inside, crispy outside, not too sweet and nicely balanced. This place is small and casual. The bathrooms were out of order that day. Maybe 4.5. It's great though and the food lives up to the Sacramento locations I've been going to for years. I mostly stick with gyros and gyro plater. It's always fresh tasting. Platters have fluffy flavorful rice. The tzatziki hits. The potions are hearty. So I notice this location serves pizza? I haven't tried the pizza. Should I try the pizza? I've eaten from This restaurant twice, once ordered from door dash and today eating in the restaurant and both times were amazing! I've realized I love Mediterranean food. Tried it today and was pleasantly surprised. We usually go to Elk Grove for Nick the Greek but stumbled on this place and we are so glad we did! This will definitely be our new go to! Hubby and I shared the chicken platter and shawarma fries and both were amazing! Plenty of food and the portions are big! This is a fairly new business next to Subway. I was excited to try them but was disappointed for a number of reasons. The girl at the counter was nice enough and I was able to order a large sampling of their items for under $40 including a plate, gyro, some sides and a baklava. Unfortunately the staff making the food placed my order on the counter without telling the front of house so it sat there for over 5 minutes until she asked who's food it was. I finally got my food but it was cold by the time I got home and I don't care for poor communication and bad service. Another issue I had was that I noticed a 3% service fee on my receipt for using a credit card. I understand some businesses do this, but I was never advised I would be charged extra. I double checked before leaving and nowhere inside the business was there a sign posted that patrons will be charged. Not only is this illegal, but it's immoral. No one likes hidden fees. Another "tricky" issue is that this location offers single falafel and a side of falafel which contains 4 pieces. I wanted to sample one falafel but was charged for the 4 piece, which if I had noticed before hand I could have clarified, but it was not brought to my attention and I was not asked how many I wanted. Once I arrived home, the disappointment continued. The meat was overcooked and bland. The falafel was flavorless. The baklava was dry and the pita on my wrap was soggy and fell apart and I had to eat the gyro with a fork. Honestly, the majority of this meal went into the trash. The prices here are reasonable but they need to let people know if they will be charging extra fees and the cashier was fine but the overall service needs improvement. I hope this location can work out their issues and improve in the future. read more
