Horrible food. I am amazed to see five stars. In the name of Indian food, what tasteless and inferior quality food is being served. Chola bhature had no taste, uncooked spices, paratha no salt even and loaded with 1 pound of butter on the top. Sev puri had old sour chutney and puri seemed like months old with stale smell. Absolutely fantastic food! It's a small place, but they were able to accommodate a party of ten on pretty short notice. We had the butter chicken, two kinds of naan, samosa and samosa chaat, and more that I can't remember. Everything was delicious, and the prices were really reasonable. Makes sense considering it's a relatively small space. Service was good too, very prompt and all the food was brought out hot and fresh. Would definitely go again for a dinner or lunch. read more

While my boyfriend was busy chit chatting with his teammates during his jiu jitsu competition, I got busy looking for delicious food to eat and found this gem online. First of all, you know a restaurant is good when it is tucked away in a little grocery plaza. Second, it isn't fancy (if you're looking for that, look elsewhere), which means they spend their time and energy making bomb food. Happy runs the joint and he was a cool guy. We ordered the: Dahi Bhalla Chaat - super tasty. Never had anything like this before. It is served on the cooler side because of the yogurt, and the chutney is homemade in house, with pure tamarind, and crunchy bits. The texture was wild, and fun. Delish. Punjabi Kulcha - their answer to a delicious bao bun. But, it is filled with tender, spiced, garbanzos, with onions and a sumptuous sauce. So freaking good. Everyone in the restaurant had one of these on their plates! Baingan Bharta - this eggplant dish was phenomenal. I have never ate anything this delicious/exciting in my life (not counting my mom's cooking, obviously), and trust me, I eat a lot. This was insanely good with the Garlic Naan we ordered :) We scraped that dish clean! Rasmalai - we finished off our fabulous meal with this delicious dessert. It looks like a cake, and we chose the cardamom flavored one (it was the orange looking one). It was light. Like a cloud. And, being Asian, I already don't like super sweet desserts, and this nailed it. It wasn't super sweet, and it was the best finish to a good meal. This place is very affordable, and you can tell their meals are made with care. Just be aware, it is vegetarian here and they don't serve beer. Don't let this deter you though. Check this spot out if you're in or close to Stockton. I wish they had Punjabi restaurants this tasty in San Francisco, because they don't exist there. read more

They were made from scratch samosas. They were prepared on time. The service was excellent. The price is really good considering today's economy. They exceeded my expectations! The food here was absolutely amazing!!! We got the pani puri and the flavors were immaculate. It had the perfect level of spice to it. We also tried the spicy noodles, and they were really good! I ordered the pav bhaji which was their #1 item on their postmates delivery and a veggie burger. It was the worst indian food I ever ate. The green beans in the pav bhaji was so disgusting I had to spit it out. The curry was too oily and flavorless for any dish made with Indian spices. The buns it came with was toasted very nicely and was perfect tho. The veggie burger had the thinnest and smallest potato patty that if u ate it you wouldn't know it had any potatoes. It would have been good if I could taste the potato in it. The pasta was interesting to put in a burger but I would have liked more potato and could have done without it. it was at least edible if u dont mind eating bland food where the tomatoes are the only thing that had any flavor. I'm going to start off by saying that this review is a 2-person effort. The hubs and I do enjoy Indian food, but we tend to go to buffets due to being intimated by ordering food ourselves. I was getting gas nearby, and this popped up in my nearby places, so I went for it and ordered many items from the street food category. While I enjoyed all of the items, hubs didn't like the chaat I ordered due to it being sweet and his preference of spicy-salty foods. You know I was almost hesitant on going here. I was here with my friend for lunch. The owner told me everything was vegetarian so I was scared to eat here. I am very glad I tried Indian Delicacies on Hammer Lane. I wanted to reward myself for getting my COVID vaccine booster and saw it when I was leaving the Kaiser facility. I am a big eater, spent $25, and took home two meals worth of leftovers. I wish I could be as eloquent as Kuanie J.'s review but oh well. The vegetables were high quality, perfectly cooked and not overpowered by the spicy and fragrant sauce. To be honest, I closed my eyes due to intense olfactory response. I ordered 'medium' spice and it was just right for me. Basmati rice was perfect, and Naan was delicious, even though I am not a big bread eater. I didn't catch anyone's name. This restaurant is completely vegetarian which I appreciate! The food is so good that you won't miss the meat. I've been here a number of times but my favorite things to order is the chole bhature and the aloo gobi.
