The pastries here are absolutely delicious! So happy with everything I got, which was a plethora of sweet and savory pastries.

We decided to try this place again because the reviews are so great and we thought maybe we've gotten it wrong. So we went on a Thursday morning and there was already a line at 10 AM. The amount of pastries they had was astonishing and they were all so good. The bakery smelled awesome! The coffee is still meh. I don't know it's just too weak and I don't like that. They don't have lids for the coffee cup and I really don't like that. You can sit outside and eat, but it was kind of cold. We got a scone which was fantastic but I would prefer no icing, a mini apricot kouign amann which was to die for and a regular kouign amann which had shattering sugar crust. Soooo good. I love the pastries, but I still think the coffee needs to be worked on.

Fantastic bakery with a lot of great options. We came around 12pm on a Sunday, but despite that we were able to get two croissants, a quiche and sandwich. All items exceeded expectations! Would highly recommend this place and it's easily one of my new favorite bakeries in the bay.

Best kouign amann I've ever had in my life - 5 stars for that alone. Also tried some assorted fruit danishes and croissants (plain was excellent). But get the kouign amann!!

I've heard so much about their croissants that I had to finally stop by. Normally, they have lines of folks waiting in the morning for their goodies. I happened to be in the area at 2:30pm (they close at 4pm on Sundays), the "no croissants, sold out" sign was posted, yet good fortune smiled on me when I heard, "There are some croissants just out of the oven." The baker suggested I wait 5 minutes before eating mine, to let it cool down & crisp up. It was yummy! ;)

Best fresh French baguettes. Crispy on the outside, warm and airy in the inside. Love when they have cannolis and chocolate croissants.

Are you open yet? Your voice recording says you are closed till Jan 20 but it's Jan 24 today and it's the same recording.

I visited there early on Sun., Jan. 31 and again on Wed., Feb. 3. They were open both times, with very few pastries left on Sunday afternoon & booming takeout business at 8:15am on Wed (limit of 2 bear claws/person) I was advised that if I wanted…

What do you call the flat raisin pastries they sell? Kind of crumbly. Driving me crazy! Thx Steve

    Pain aux raisins!

Anyone have experience with shelf life on their croissants? Or maybe I should say table life? I've had these delicious creations in the past but never tried to save them. If I pick up on Sat morn would they still be good by Sun brunch?

Definitely! I've definitely gotten a couple extra on Saturday morning and had them as a sandwich Sunday morning. Best if you can do a light toast on them the next day, but still delicious either way :)

My first visit was a to-go order of the Original Croissant, Pain Suisse, and Flan, and I loved everything so much that I came back again a month later when I was in the area. Their pastries are seriously exceptional, and I can totally see why they won the award. Personally though, I actually love the Pain Suisse even more! The dough was flaky, buttery, a right balance between crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside with each bite. And the Flan Vanille is on another level. I've tried so many different flans and even know how to make a pretty good one myself, but this is the kind of flan I would bring to a party if I wanted to impress everyone. The bakery itself is beautiful, and I love that you can watch the bakers working through the glass window. Their pastry display is also dangerous because everything looks so good, with tons of sweet and savory options. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating as well. Staffs were friendly and welcoming. I also tried their holiday berry croissant on my second visit. They definitely did NOT skimp on the filling lol. It was actually a little too much filling-to-croissant ratio for me, but I appreciate the generosity! Strawberry Cookie were soft and fresh Prices are pretty average for artisan pastries, and the quality and size is definitely worth it. Such a great bakery in Danville and I'll absolutely be back.

Items: Cinnamon Brioche $6.50 soft, fresh brioche w/a beautiful cinnamon to sugar ratio that had the perfect sweetness. Pain Suisse $6.50 a chocolate crioissant that has lingering pieces of crisp chocolate that oozed out while baking. The croissant had flaky layers that was very well crafted. Not overly sweet & the ideal pastry with a cup of coffee. Egg Turkey Breakfast Bun $6 a filling savory treat crafted w/attention & care. Mango Passionfruit Sorbet $12 had both a good balance of mango & Passionfruit purée but it was a little sweet due to the 2 fruits added, but it certainly was a nice way to cool off in 90 degree weather. Everything was authentic & the customer service was the cherry on top.

The hygiene alone should be enough to make anyone turn around and walk out. The employee working the front repeatedly coughed into his hands, rubbed his nose, sneezed, then immediately went back to handling customers' utensils, napkins, and food-related items without washing or sanitizing his hands. It happened over and over again. It was honestly disgusting to watch. Basic food safety should never be optional. Then came the bill. Three items. One tiny crepe, one madeleine, and one quiche. Nearly $50. I actually thought there had been a mistake. The crepe was embarrassingly small, and the chicken inside was some of the worst I've had. It was dry, stringy, chewy, and tasted incredibly cheap. There was absolutely nothing fresh or high quality about it. The portions were tiny, the quality was poor, and the prices were completely disconnected from reality. My husband was born and raised in France, and we've spent plenty of time eating at cafés and bakeries there. This isn't even remotely comparable. It's an overpriced imitation that relies on the idea of being French instead of delivering food that's actually worth eating. If you're going to charge premium prices, then deliver premium quality, proper food safety, and an experience that justifies it. This place failed on every one of those fronts. We won't be back, and I genuinely can't understand why this place has the reputation it does.
