It's a French style cafe with all the usuals but more expensive. Good location though for groups, gathering, couples, kids and seniors. Good atmosphere for studying, reading and hangouts. Variety of brunch options, pastries and coffee drinks. Service is quick with order to sit. Indoor and few outside seatings.

I specifically wanted to try this bakery out for the fruit shaped dessert. We came here on a Sunday afternoon and found parking close by, there were some teenagers inside, and a person cleaning the coffee machine. After waiting for a few minutes a young woman came out and took my order. I ordered one lemon shaped dessert and she seemed a bit annoyed at that. Outside I opened my prized box to see my tiny purchase. With a stab of a fork my toddler cracked it open and started eating the lemon custard. It's basically a tiny bit of lemon custard, a ton of cream and yellow colored white chocolate. It was not very flavorful, very small and overpriced.

I've been waiting and watching for signs of when this place would open and FINALLY! On a whim, I drove by on New Year's Day and saw that they were open! It was good to see that there were still a variety of goodies in the cases. As hubby is always in the hunt for the best almond and chocolate croissant, the almond and chocolate hazelnut paste came home with me. Love how bright and airy the shop is. Parking can be a challenge during the week so just park across the street. All spaces are pay lots with the exception of the building behind the shop. The croissants are very crispy and flaky , especially the corners. Now, it didn't help that it's rainy which means humidity. Taste wise, the chocolate hazelnut paste could have been stronger perhaps a smear of Nutella would be good. Almond croissant is good. For the hubby, rating of 3.5 because he likes more fillings. It's pricey so take your time sitting in and savoring the delights. Yelpers have notes other food items which I may come back to try. The quiches looked especially good. Thank you for a new shop in town!

Bought a piece of Opera cake that looked great. Staff member threw it into a box that was too big for it. I asked for a bag, ideally a paper one that keeps its shape so that the box does not move around in the bag when placed in my car trunk. She gave me a standard plastic thank you bag. This is what it looked like when I opened it. Very disappointing for a $14 pastry

A friendly family-owned coffee shop with even more pastry options in the little gourmet ghetto next to Sideboard. My coffee was excellent - maybe the best I've found in Lafayette so far - and the pastries are also fantastic. Thy have beche de Noel and other beautifully decorated special pastry items as well as your typical croissants and cookies. Ambiance is pretty with a lot of light and good seating options. Parking is never great here but the location, ambiance and food makes up for that. I know the pastries are the big draw here but I'd come back just for the coffee! Yep, I'll definitely be back!

So happy this bakery finally opened! They have savory and sweet options which were all fresh and delicious. What really stood out for us were the fun fruit pastries /Trompe-l'œil desserts! How fun!! Be back soon!

I recently tried the new Brioche de Paris location in Lafayette and was absolutely delighted! This charming French bakery is a wonderful addition to the area. We sampled three items from the menu, and each one was excellent. The almond croissant was perfectly moist, flaky, and incredibly delicious. I asked them how it's so good and they explained that they use imported French butter. The Avocado Toast was fresh and beautifully prepared, topped with bacon. Lastly, I tried the Lorraine Quiche, which they kindly heated for me. It was light, flavorful, and wonderfully satisfying without feeling heavy. Although there is a bakery by the same name in Walnut Creek, my understanding is that this location is independently owned and not affiliated with that store. The fresh pastries served here are delivered daily from their other store located in Alamo. Everything tasted fresh, and the attention to detail really stood out. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu -- highly recommend stopping by if you're in Lafayette!

Finally, a true French bakery in Contra Costa County! The pastries were all perfection. The barista made coffees were also as expected.

The latte was okay, but the food definitely took center stage. The staff were very friendly and well-intentioned, but the communication was lacking. Our entire group found the ordering process to be quite confusing. It wasn't immediately clear where to go or how the flow worked, which took away a bit from the otherwise great vibe. Overall, a great spot for a meal.

What I didn't like is that no one comes out to check any outdoor tables that need to be cleared. I went in and asked a young man behind the counter if someone could buss a couple tables we were hoping to sit at. He didn't smile. He said he'd do it for us. Well, he never came out. I found another older gentleman if he could clear out some tables. He happily obliged. With a smile! And said, "I will do that right now." While we were eating, it was this same man who cleared tables. He's the best! Friendly and always smiling. Meanwhile, the first young man I asked originally, walked past dirty tables. He walked by a dirty table twice. Anyway... we ordered: Flat Iron Steak Sandwich - flavorful and delicious Avocado Toast - I love that the avocado is seasoned. I wish the bread was a little more toasted and that the arugula was seasoned or drizzled with olive oil. SB Cheddar Burger - I love that their patty was well-seasoned bursting with flavor! Delicious!! The fries were also great! Enjoyed the ketchup with its smoky flavor.

The fam and I have been going to Likikoi since they've opened, mostly for convenience purposes…read more Started out amazing, but as we ordered more and more, there's been quite a bit of inconsistency. Will we get good or mediocre drinks today? Will our drinks be accurate or would we need to spend some more time to get our drinks fixed? Always a gamble, but hey, I do love to gamble (usually in a different setting lol). Sometimes the drinks are really good. The ones I've had the most consistencies are their house milk tea and their tropical fruit tea. Recommendation is to order everything as-is since if things (such as sugar level) are adjusted, it's most likely watered down. Luckily the drinks aren't way too sweet, but still a bit sweeter than I'd like, and I'd prefer a bit more tea flavor. My daughter has been big on their Thai tea, but after some inconsistencies with flavor, she's switched to their matcha horchata drink. Pretty good, and they have other kinds of drinks like that too. My son likes the house milk tea with lychee jelly, and the husband enjoys the Oreo drinks here, but they don't taste right in my opinion. I like their house milk tea, jasmine milk tea, tropical fruit tea, and once a while, their ube taro drink. On the safe side, I normally stick with tropical tea and house milk tea at this location. Props to Lilikoi for having some "unique" drinks such as mango almighty (mango smoothie with tajin and chamoy), various horchata drinks, and more. They seem to specialize more in the tropical fruit teas, so highly recommend for those.

Since I went close to when they first opened, I thought they would get the kinks worked out so I wanted to try again before I judged. I came today (2/4/2025) after a doctor's appointment. I noticed they have ube coffee on the menu. Unfortunately, the employees told me they were out of ube. I ordered the Thai milk tea with no ice at 50% sweet. Given the heavy rain and cold weather, I asked if they could make the drink hot and they said they don't do hot drinks. Really? Every boba spot I've been to in the 4.5 years I've lived in Contra Costa County - including Sharetea, Mr. Green Bubble, Teaspoon, and Yi Fang - offer hot drinks. Everywhere EXCEPT Lilikoi. As for the drink itself, I could taste the Thai tea flavor somewhat but it seemed a bit watered down. I've had better Thai milk tea elsewhere. The drink cost $5, which is less compared to other boba spots. But I'd rather pay a bit more for drinks that don't tasted watered down. I don't think I'll return, even if in the area.
