In Lodi for one dinner and I wish it was ten! Guantonio's is the BOMB! We sat at counter and watched the kitchen like it was a movie. That crew has it down to a science, awesome to experience. The food was so great! We had a stone fruit Caesar, corn (two inch cuts of cob in a sauce that was delightful) and a pepperoni pizza. Couldn't decide on desert so we had two-cannoli and a twist sundae. Service was great, the team is always moving. Food came out hot, nothing sat on the pass for more than 30 seconds. Only took a couple of pics as I got too preoccupied with eating everything in sight. We come to Lodi once a year, we'll never eat anyplace else.
Came on a busy Friday night and was definitely worth the wait. Guantonio's took us on a full flavor adventure! Tried a few items on the menu and already wanting to go back to try the rest. We've ordered to go before but it was nice to finally sit in for their burger hour (dine in only and one of the best burgers in town, no doubt!) Shoutout to our server Rachel who was extremely kind and efficient. You can dine in or outside. Only 1 bathroom. Family friendly. Great for a date night or girls night even!

I could have sworn I wrote this review already but it's not here and it needs to be! My son just moved to the area. We came to visit him to celebrate his birthday earlier this month. He wanted Italian/pizza for his birthday dinner. We looked up a couple places and decided to come here. We got a side of olives (my husband loves them), a margarita pizza, wings and a salad plus a caramel sundae for dessert. All of the food was great! The crust on the pizza was superb. My husband is picky when it comes to pizza and he said this is up there with the top pizza he's ever had. We enjoyed the wings and salad. The sundae was phenomenal. WOW. The ice cream was so creamy and the caramel was scrumptious. The only bummer was the wait time. They quoted us 30-45 minutes but we didn't get seated until an hour and a half later. Despite that, we will return when we're in town again. Next time we will get there earlier.
I recently checked out Guantonio's for dinner, and overall it was a solid experience... landing at a 4 out of 5 for me. The space has a clean, modern neighborhood feel with a bit of personality. Inside, it's bright and minimalist with warm wood tables, shelves of wine bottles, and a small retail touch (cards, merch) that gives it a local/artisan vibe. There's also a covered outdoor seating area with string lights that looked like a good option for warmer evenings. It's casual but thoughtfully put together, somewhere between a wine bar and a pizza spot. Service stood out as a strong point. It's first-come, first-served (no reservations), but we were seated right away. Staff were prompt and efficient throughout the meal, checking in regularly without hovering, and pacing everything well. We had time to finish our salad before the pizza came out, and they gave us a natural break before dessert. No long waits, no rushing... just well-managed service. We started with the capri salad. I thought it was fresh and well-balanced, but my partner wasn't particularly impressed, and so I'd call that one mixed reviews depending on your expectations. For the main event, we ordered the pepperoni pizza "Nick's way" (with ricotta and hot honey). This was the highlight of the meal. The crust was well executed, nicely cooked with a good chew, not too thick and not overly thin. The pepperoni and hot honey combination worked really well, giving it that sweet-and-savory balance that keeps you going back for another slice. The cheese was excellent, with the ricotta adding a nice contrast. If I had one critique, it's that the sauce was a bit light. I would've preferred a slightly heavier hand there to round things out, but it didn't take away from the overall quality. We each had a glass of wine, my partner had a Pinot, and I had a red blend (not labeled as a house wine, and I couldn't find the exact winery afterward). The by-the-glass selection is limited, but they do have a fairly extensive bottle selection if you want more options. For dessert, we both went with sundaes and honestly, these are worth coming back for on their own. Simple, well done, and genuinely satisfying. If you're nearby, it wouldn't be a stretch to stop in just for dessert. Overall, a strong neighborhood spot with excellent pizza, well-paced service, and standout desserts. A few minor limitations (light sauce, limited wine-by-the-glass options), but definitely worth a visit.
Guantanios... so yummy, seriously. But let's talk about the communal seating inside..not my vibe. And their hours? Limited. Very limited. But hey, I guess making it so exclusive is a genius marketing move... keeps us craving it even more. Nice one, guys. Come for the food, but here's a PSA: you MUST get your own Twisted Sundae. Do not share. Trust me, your taste buds will thank me later. You're welcome.

Our waitstaff was exemplary and we appreciated their attentiveness. For dessert we had a sundae and shared the cannoli. Space is limited, so we shared a table . There's room outside in their patio but I didn't notice if they have heating outside. Our mushroom pizza was delicious. The variety of mushrooms was outstanding and their pizza dough/crust has that beautiful crunch on the outside while staying soft through the middle. I'm usually a red sauce gal but this cheese and mushroom pizza had so much flavor. Not one bit of it was dry. The wings were average but tasty. Our sundaes were delightful but the cannoli was okay. The pizza though... that's a Five Star experience. I can't wait to go back.
The establishment opens at 5:00. MAKE RESERVATIONS! It's a fairly small place that gets crowded. We arrived and were seated. Then we were politely asked if we would move to another seat. We obliged, but that was a service mistake I guess. Because once we were moved, every single table in the entire restaurant ends up getting some form of food on their table before the appetizer we ordered, fried potatoes, was brought to our table. I was literally looking for our waitress to complain as our food was coming out the door. As for the potatoes, my wife and I both thought they were average, and not worth the steep price...for fried potatoes. Now for the pizzas. Both my wife and I were happy with the pizzas. Both were tasty and cooked with the wood fired method I love. I was not the biggest fan of the crust, I'm a crust snob, and while the texture of this crust was great, the flavor was lacking. Again, overall, pretty good, despite the early slow service. But if I'm driving for pizza, I'm heading to Pizza Norcia.
Finally tried after many drive by's over the years. Made Resy for 8pm inside. They were busy and said short wait. No issue as it gave us a chance to get the vibe check the wines and beers out. Both inside and outside was packed. Maybe 10 or so minutes of waiting then seated. Kylee was our server. She was great. Only one tap beer so we chose a couple beers from a pretty robust can assortment in an accessible cooler. And we also had a Pinot Noir. Pizza was hard to choose but being 3 of us we got two pizzas and shared a salad which was plenty for three. The pizzas were a ten on a scale of ten. Hot fresh cooked perfect fab red sauces and so Tasty! Loved the Burrata. Pepperoni and honey had a nice soft spicy taste. The salad was good however not the traditional capresa. Can't wait to come back and try the mushroom pizza which looks fab. What a cool place combined with great customer service. Winner winner!
It was a Saturday night around 530pm and me and my friend were heading to the Plain White T's concert in Lodi and decided to eat in Lodi before the concert. Me and my friend tried to go Pietro's Trattoria first but it was too busy till 8pm so we googled other places and stumbled upon this great pizza place! This is a farm to fork restaurant. There were fresh flowers at the tables that added a cute touch to modern clean vibe. They have outdoor patio seating also. There weren't any regular seats on a Saturday evening but luckily there were 2 seats at the counter right in front of the kitchen where we could watch the staff making the dishes and cooking the pizzas in the wood fire stove. We ordered the capri salad which has lettuce with salami, olives, banana peppers, cheese, and tomatoes and the falco pizza which has sausage, tomato, breadcrumbs, chili, basil, red onion, and fresh mozzarella. We added mushrooms to the pizza for an extra charge. The salad became a bit too sour for me at the end so I had to pick out all the banana peppers but it was a very refreshing salad and we still finished it. It could use a bit less banana peppers. The pizza came out hot. The crust of the pizza was soft and chewy and all the ingredients went well together. I'm glad we added the mushrooms to the pizza. Overall, the food was delicious, fresh, and uses seasonal local ingredients.
Such an adorable family owned restaurant right in the heart of Lodi. Just come prepared that they do not take any reservations, for any party size, and the weight is typically around about one hour for most tables. I have come twice on different days of the week and it's about pretty standard to wait. They do have options to purchase bottles of wine and enjoy outside or take home. They are most famously known for their pizza, pies and soft, serve ice cream, which comes in vanilla and salted caramel. We tried the salted caramel flavor, which was so delicious, but you have to eat quick because it is really soft and almost close to runny. They offer cannolis, but only if you're lucky you'll get one. They were already done for the day when we arrived. This time I tried the pepperoni pizza, Nick style, which comes with hot honey. It was absolutely delicious and I definitely ate more than I should have. Because this restaurant is so busy, I do find that the service is sometimes a little bit lacking. The table that came after us seems to be getting more fast, faster, service, and I believe our waitress may have forgot about our drinks. Additionally, when we asked for red peppers with our food, which we did not receive. The table next to us also wanted to ask for red peppers, but nobody came around until they were done. So since seeing your waiter won't be very often during your visit, I do recommend being prepared every time you would do have them come to your table. The hours of this place are also limited, so probably a good idea to check before you show up. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area and are OK waiting

This place is fantastic. This is me and my mother's second time coming to Guantonio's and it never fails to amaze us. We arrived at the restaurant at 4:30ish (they don't open until 5) and people were already lined up outside. They have very limited seating especially inside. As the doors opened everyone was very respectful and waited their turn to enter. We got a table for two inside and our waitress greeted us and put in our wine order. We were then given the opportunity to taste the wine and allotted more time to think about our order. We ended up getting the hummus, Hana's Greens and meatballs to start. Everything was fantastic, in our opinion the hummus is a must order (5 Stars) just be careful not to burn your fingers on the hot fresh bread. This was the first time we ordered Hana's Acre Greens and we were pleasantly surprised. The salad is very simple only featuring greens, some Parmesan and a dressing but wow is it delicious. It's a perfect accompaniment to everything on the menu, will definitely order it again (5 stars!!). We also ordered the meatballs which are unfortunately not pictured and they were very good as well. We were a bit concerned because the meatballs were slightly pink inside but neither of us got sick so I'm sure we were just being paranoid. I would rate the meatballs (3.5 stars), they are good but you aren't missing out on too much. We also got a pizza, this time it was the mortadella which I have been itching to try! I was mostly full by the time it arrive but still decided to try it. The pizza was crispy and fresh, the mix of cheese mortadella and pistachio was a fantastic combo and I highly recommend it. Lastly we got the vanilla salted caramel swirl soft serve to end the night and no regrets. It is genuinely one of the best ice cream/sundaes I have ever had and I would go back just for that!! I also want to emphasize the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Everyone working there is extremely helpful and makes sure that all parties are taken care of. Our waitress gave us great recommendations and made sure that all of our food was enjoyed. The interior is also very cute, and even if you don't manage to snag an inside table they have heating lamps outside to make sure you are comfortable. Overall if you are in the Lodi area and don't mind waiting for a table, Guantonios is a MUST visit!! Can't wait to go back!

First time there and everything was absolutely delicious!! We had the biancoverde pizza, zucchini dip, beet salad, and the roasted corn. Finished with a cannoli and yes, we are stuffed and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend sitting at the counter and watching the kitchen. read more
This might become our new go-to pizza spot! This was a long-overdue date night, found Guantonio's thanks to Amex Platinum, and being new to the area, we've been looking for a pizza place that can compete with Hairy Cow Brewing Company in Oregon, IL. That's a tough one to beat, but Guantonio's might be our new go-to spot for wood-fired pizza! The dough and crust were incredible. Great texture, great flavor, and the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh. And almonds on pizza?! Brilliant. It sounded unusual, but it absolutely worked. Before the pizza, we took a chance on the melon bruschetta, and I'm glad we did. It was refreshing and paired really well with our wine. She had the Nero d'Avola "Rosa di Lupo" 2025 by COS from Sicily, while I had the 2024 Assyrtiko by Perlegos Family Wines from Lodi. Great combination with the food. The atmosphere is intimate and inviting. I'd definitely recommend making a reservation through the Resy app, especially because seating is limited. Parking is also very limited, and since the restaurant is in a residential area, be mindful not to block driveways or park in front of someone's home improperly. We got lucky and pulled right into a parking spot. My only criticism was that we felt a little rushed during the meal. There were a few moments when plates were removed without much acknowledgment, which made us feel like we needed to move things along. We actually wanted to stay longer, order more, and try additional items so we could experience more of the menu. It wasn't enough to take away from how much we enjoyed the evening, but a slightly more relaxed pace would have made the experience even better. That said, the food was excellent, the pizza was memorable, and overall we had a great experience. We're already looking forward to coming back and working our way through the rest of the pizza menu. This place is fantastic. This is me and my mother's second time coming to Guantonio's and it never fails to amaze us. We arrived at the restaurant at 4:30ish (they don't open until 5) and people were already lined up outside. They have very limited seating especially inside. As the doors opened everyone was very respectful and waited their turn to enter. We got a table for two inside and our waitress greeted us and put in our wine order. We were then given the opportunity to taste the wine and allotted more time to think about our order. We ended up getting the hummus, Hana's Greens and meatballs to start. Everything was fantastic, in our opinion the hummus is a must order (5 Stars) just be careful not to burn your fingers on the hot fresh bread. This was the first time we ordered Hana's Acre Greens and we were pleasantly surprised. The salad is very simple only featuring greens, some Parmesan and a dressing but wow is it delicious. It's a perfect accompaniment to everything on the menu, will definitely order it again (5 stars!!). We also ordered the meatballs which are unfortunately not pictured and they were very good as well. We were a bit concerned because the meatballs were slightly pink inside but neither of us got sick so I'm sure we were just being paranoid. I would rate the meatballs (3.5 stars), they are good but you aren't missing out on too much. We also got a pizza, this time it was the mortadella which I have been itching to try! I was mostly full by the time it arrive but still decided to try it. The pizza was crispy and fresh, the mix of cheese mortadella and pistachio was a fantastic combo and I highly recommend it. Lastly we got the vanilla salted caramel swirl soft serve to end the night and no regrets. It is genuinely one of the best ice cream/sundaes I have ever had and I would go back just for that!! I also want to emphasize the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Everyone working there is extremely helpful and makes sure that all parties are taken care of. Our waitress gave us great recommendations and made sure that all of our food was enjoyed. The interior is also very cute, and even if you don't manage to snag an inside table they have heating lamps outside to make sure you are comfortable. Overall if you are in the Lodi area and don't mind waiting for a table, Guantonios is a MUST visit!! Can't wait to go back! read more

We really enjoyed the pizza at Guantonios. The pizza was perfect and fresh. A combination of soft and crisp. 10/10 pizza. We drove 70 miles to try the pizza and it was worth every mile. The dessert was absolutely delicious. We can't wait to come back and try more pizzas. read more

The wait time can be long if you get there during peak dinner time. My group ordered a pizza for 3 with a few appetizers and it was enough for us. The potatoes were my absolute favorite. They were crunchy but not over the top. read more

I had a great experience dining at Guantonios with my 7 year old son. I was impressed from the moment I called to make a reservation and the friendly staff member explained the seating options. When we arrived, the waitress knew my son wanted to sit next to me on the bench so she rearranged the table for us. She told us about the special for the evening and recommended items from the menu. The corn pizza and the potato appetizer were both delicious. We sat outside on the patio, which was really nice despite it being hot outside, plenty of shade. The wait staff was so kind to my son, and he enjoyed chatting with them. Amazing staff, excellent food, we'll be back! read more

Got a recommendation from a local winery and this place did not disappoint! Amazing food, friendly staff, cool vibe! Wish we lived closer but when visiting Lodi we will definitely be back. Come early and I recommend sitting at the bar because you get to see all the action in the kitchen. read more

We showed up around 5pm on a Saturday and were met with a long line of people checking in--clearly a popular spot. We put our name down and ended up waiting just under two hours to be seated, so be prepared if you come during peak time (they don't take reservations). Once we were seated, everything we ordered was solid. We started with the Skins & Ins, cauliflower, and gnocchi. The potatoes were super crispy and well-seasoned--basically perfect bar-style bites. The cauliflower was really flavorful, and the gnocchi was impressively light and packed with flavor. For mains, we went with the Amatriciana and the Mushroom pizza. The tomato sauce on the Amatriciana was bright and fresh-tasting, and the mushroom pizza had a great variety of mushrooms. Crust was nice, though the pizzas had a bit of flop to them, so folding was the way to go. We wrapped it all up with the salted caramel sundae, which was next level. It had layers and this almond rocca-like topping that added an awesome crunch--one of the more memorable desserts I've had in a while. Even as we left, the line outside was still long. Despite the wait, this place is worth checking out if you're into good pizza, small plates, and a solid wine and beer list. Just bring your patience! read more

With Asparagus in season - tried asparagus and fresh mozzarella Cherries are seasonal - lentils, farro and some fresh cherry salad - yes please!! Meatballs - always a hit! Tried this place on a date night and the service was great and staff were very friendly. We got the potato skin appetizer and then a shared pizza finished off with cannolis for dessert. For me the food was good and very fairly priced, there is both inside and outside seating and inside you can even watch them cook your pizza on the brick oven. Non pizza were great. Pizza was good. We ordered The hummus not picture, it was delightful. Sour dough freshly baked and tasty smooth hummus. Very good. The wings were slightly spicy with the Calabrian chili. Wings are slightly small but they give you plenty. I think they just use non gmo chicken. Tasty nonetheless recommended. You dont see Calabrian chili wings on menu's. The tomatoes watermelon salad was great. Huge slices of both with topped with a sort of chutney with red pickled onions and mints. Refreshing, what a combination. The pasta was tasty and a bit salty granted it was topped with burrata cheese. casarecce pasta was small enough to eat with a spoon. Appetizers potion it was. Now the pizzas. Mushrooms pizza my wife ordered was OK in her opinion. I didn't try it. The ciao pepe pizza was unusual to say the least. I've never had such a thing. Heavy on the black pepper along with char of the pizza made it have a unique taste. Unfortunately im not a fan. As far as refreshments i didn't see a beverage section on menu so I just ordered a coke. They serve bottled coca cola only I assume. That's what I keep being served. Lodi is such an underrated city when it comes to foodie spots. So far after checking a spot out here I think "wait, more people need to know about this!" Huge fan of the pizza crust here. Pillow-soft and hearty with a satisfying slight chew to it. Pleasantly surprised on the wildly sharp taste of the cheeses on the Brooklyn pizza. Classic pizza is a bit oily but is still tasty. Soft serve vanilla ice cream is refreshingly silky-smooth in terms of texture and taste; nice treat to have after a pizza feast. Filling of noni's cannoli is perfectly whipped and tastes just like cheesecake. Much appreciated that the cannoli shell is actually crunchy (no sad and stale cannoli here!). Super friendly staff. Whole place has chill cafe-ish vibes. Just other patrons relaxing and chit chatting with some pizza. Tiny parking lot but ample neighborhood street parking. No problems getting a table on a weeknight (take note of the limited business hours btw), but I can imagine this place having a wait for one on Saturdays. read more
Amazing fresh options and interesting pizzas. There are so many great things in the menu to try. Their fresh non-pizza selection is equally great. Wood fired options and fresh seasonal produce draw me away from the pizzas But make no mistake: you MUST get a pizza. They have staples like pepperoni-- perfectly executed. They also have unique elevated, crafted, unique options. Broccolini + pancetta is maybe my new carte pizza of all time. The dough is crispy yet chewy, so even the crust is an experience. They somehow get the middle so thin, so it's a topping focused extravaganza. Service is wonderful and friendly. Price is reasonable.
