Not that great. We ordered the wings which were pinkish inside. Felt like they boiled it and fried it. We then ordered this pasta dish which had this crunchy sugary cheese that it was topped with. My boyfriend and I got the skins and ins, wings, and the Biancoverde pizza with sausage. The only downside was the yelp waitlist didn't seem really work. Arrived right at 5 and there was already a line and wait, which I already knew there would be. There was a bit of a wait but not too long, we were able to order drinks and enjoy it outside as we waited for our table. As always, knew exactly what I wanted to order once we sat down. Guantonio's pizza is the type of pizza you dream of getting again once you leave. The seating here is perfect for any sized group. Loved the lights and homey aspect of Guatonio's. Parking here will be along the streets, just be prepared since there tends to be a wait so get there early! Appetizers wise, my friends and I enjoyed the Chickpea hummus. Great to start off the whole meal. Some of the pizzas I loved here were Cacio E Pepe, Falco, and Mushroom. The Cacio E Pepe was simple, yet so cheesy and flavorful. Falco is a top hit if you love sausage and basil on your red pizzas. Mushroom is one you can never go wrong, it's just that good. The smokiness of the pizza here is just A-Tier. Highly recommend! The pizza here is 4 out of 5 because it's better than average, the service is 2.5 out of 5 because in the couple times I've been here our waitresses have been either unintuitive and once downright rude, the soft serve ice cream has good flavor but is usually already melting by the time it gets to you and last but not least this restaurant both inside and especially outside has terrible cooling. I would not recommend going here on a hot summer day. read more

Our party of 4 went a little overboard and ordered 4 pizzas since everything sounded good... and we finished it all! - Mushroom: The group favorite! Loved the variety of mushrooms. - Falco: As a red sauce girly, this was perfection alongside our other white sauce pizzas. It has a slightly kick from the chili, but not too overpowering. - Calabrian: If you like potatoes on your pizza, this is for you! The potato is sliced thin but still firm. - Biancoverde: Garlic crema complimented the super creamy burrata so well. This was my personal favorite. The bread w hummus is so good everyone needs to try it , but it's very filling so be careful if you get it as an appetizer! The pizza was pepperoni, it had honey on it, when I go again I won't get the honey because I'm not a big fan of food having honey. It was my first time trying it and it was too sweet for me. Either get there earlier than 5 p.m. or arrive around 6 p.m. to get a table as the first shift of people are finishing up their meals. The pizza is ahhhmazingly delish, the pasta with short ribs is off the charts, the salads are yummilicious and dessert, try the soft serve sundae, which is super dreamy. Everything here is absolutely yum it's a great experience and one you'll find will be habit forming. Since the recommendation, we've been here about 5 times. Guantonio's has to be in the discussion of best Lodi restaurant and there's zero doubt it's the best pizza in Lodi. The atmosphere, service, and (most importantly) the food are all completely dialed in. Don't be alarmed if you show up and there are groups of people outside waiting for a table. Put your name in, grab a beer from the fridge, and hang out outside until your table is ready. They move through the list fairly quickly. Last night we had the mushroom dip and three pizzas (Amatriciana, Pepp Delux, and a dairy free pesto pizza). We also got a Lorenza Carignan wine which we love. It was an A+ dinner and fun experience. This was my first visit to Guantonios because every time I drive by there thee line is always so long before they even open. Worth the wait however. I arrived ten minutes before opening and was ordering takeout but was about 30 people behind in line. They open at 5pm but I didn't know they have a phone line open at 10:30am for pickup orders. Good to know! The service seems very efficient and everyone ahead of me were seated right away and placing my order went very smoothly. My wait time after ordering was only about 20 minutes and there was plenty things in the restaurant for me to explore while waiting. I ordered the classic pizza which essentially was a margarita pie, their mushroom pie with sausage added and a couple of their cannolis! Everything was absolutely delicious and also a great value. Guantonio's is a little hole in the wall that has a big following. You have to wait in line before they open and the wait continues throughout their open hours. We have frequented Guantonio's probably about 7 or 8 times now. Parking is not great. Service is not great. Food is pretty good, but pricey- i.e. skins and ins which are smashed baby potatoes wood fired are 14.00 and you get more small pieces and crumbs than decent sized potatoes. On a recent day, we got there at 4:35 and stood in line on a 95 degree day. We didn't make the inside cutoff so we were the 3rd party to be seated outdoors. When it was our turn to be seated, the owner woman stopped the hostess and told her to seat us at table 3. Well, table 3 was in full sun with a slim sun shade which hardly served a purpose and they continued to seat other people after us in the shady sections. I tried to get someone's attention but failed before all the other tables were being filled. Everyone got their orders placed before us, even the people after us and we were the last one's outside to get our pizza. It's hard to not think we were profiled- why else would we be seated in such a crappy spot over other people? The big point was that after everyone had their food, the hostess came to me and asked me a question about my pizza meaning they hadn't even begin making it yet. What th... ? I work in the service business in Lodi and have always recommended and have sent people to Guantonio's for their uniqueness and basically good food. I will NEVER endorse or suggest them again because of the way our table was treated. I was embarrassed as we brought 2 friends with us that lived in Lodi that had never been there before because they usually don't dine out and after boasting about Guantonio's I was at a loss. If they're going to make us wait in line, for Pete's sake the people who stand in line to get a seat should be given the choice seating instead of profiling who we are and designating seating accordingly. Also, serve the people in order of their arrival as best as possible which clearly wasn't done. Oh, the owner checked on every table outside later on except for us and another table that was in the sun. Our bill came to over 70 dollars for 2 pizzas and an appetizer.
