I came here because I wanted to support a local business instead of going to In-N-Out, but unfortunately the experience didn't justify the price. We ordered a regular burger combo and a kid's cheeseburger combo. There were barely any customers, yet it took almost 40 minutes to get our food. The burgers weren't bad, but they also weren't anything that stood out, especially considering the cost. I even left a tip because I wasn't expecting such a long wait, and my total ended up being almost $32. I don't mind paying more for good food and good service, but when the wait is that long and the food is just average, it's hard to justify. I really wanted to like this place and support a local business, but this visit just didn't do it for me. Next time, I'll probably stick with In-N-Out. read more

This place was stumbled upon when we were looking for a place that would have chicken sandwich which was comparable to the ones we always have in the bay area. This place was small, with only a few table to dine in outside. We came into the window to place our orders. There were only 2 people working inside this tiny place (a young lady and the old lady who cooks the orders). Although the window was only separated by a screen door, I have to keep repeating my orders which only consists of chicken burger, curly fries, onion rings, 2 cheeseburger, and 2 drinks. It would help if she would take off her earbuds out of her ear so she can focus on the orders because she messed up names and orders of 2 more customers after us even though they repeated their orders and spelled their name multiple times. There was a bit of a wait, but when our food came, it looked ok. It was served on a food paper container. The cheeseburgers were nothing really to rave about. The fries were ok, but I would like if they had other options for toppings like chili or cheese. The chicken burger was the only one that passed our expectations. It tasted somewhat closer to the ones we were looking for so that was a plus. It would also be nice to have fans outside their area if you decide to eat it there since summertime can be hot. Focus on your customers, but if you decide to multitask (like having your ear buds on) make sure you pay attention to their orders, so you get them right. read more

In my opinion the food is mid. Very overpriced. The shake was a 2/10 I expected more since they did have a lot of great reviews on the milkshakes. It was a liquidy milkshake not a thick one. I was so excited to go here because my grandparents used to take me to the Snowhite on country club all the time as a kid. This was a pretty disappointing visit. There was only one young guy working but no line. I stood at the window for more than 5 minutes and saw no movement inside until I saw him walk in from outside, look at me, and then walk back into the kitchen area. He finally came out and took my order and was very friendly. Everything just continued to spiral downward after that. We waited 45 minutes for our food. Three other customers came and left before our food was done. Another customer left without ordering because he stood at the counter for 15 minutes without being greeted. When we finally got our food, it was sad. The fries and onion rings had a great crunch, but tasted like dirty oil. My pastrami burger tasted just like my fiancé's cheeseburger- no pastrami flavor. The special sauce tasted like mayo with a splash of ketchup and a tiny bit of relish. It needed onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and much more relish. My family and I visited snowhite on a hot, sunny Saturday and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. It wasn't even that busy, yet we waited over an hour for our food!!! To make matters worse, two teenage boys who arrived about 45 minutes after us were given their fries before we were even served. That was incredibly frustrating to watch. There were two younger employees working & while I understand being short staffed, the level of disorganization and lack of urgency was unacceptable. After we finally received our food, I decided to order a sundae. I was told they were out of vanilla. About 10 minutes later, my sister-in-law went up to order her own sundae and was suddenly told they had vanilla, just that they were "running out." If that was the case, why wasn't it offered to me? Snow-White Drive-Through is always a good choice. The hamburgers are really good every single time, cooked just right and super satisfying. It's one of those classic spots you can rely on when you want something simple and done well. I am a little sad they no longer carry the turkey burger, because that used to be one of my go-tos, but the regular burgers definitely still deliver. I also really appreciate how clean they keep the place. You can tell they take pride in the property, and that always makes the experience better. We had spent a few hours kayaking on Lodi Lake and were starving after...This was right across the street and not busy at the time. Talk about the "way back machine"... this reminded me of a burger place in a small town I grew up in. It was fun and the food was good. Look, it is a small funky burger place...it is what it is and we enjoyed it. The crinkle fries were delicious, my grilled cheese was basic but that is what I expected and my husband's hot dog hit the spot. The butterscotch shake was such a treat!!! We noticed at least three sets of locals that came in and the servers seemed to know who they were and had their orders ready. It was a fun place to go for a bit of nostalgia and a great shake. Quite possibly the best non-chain fast food burger in Lodi. Zero ambiance, but what do you expect from a place where the patio may seat only a dozen people, and the auxiliary patio has room for maybe a dozen more. I mean, it could be worse - at least the view across the street is nice (Lodi Lake). It's been years since I ate at Snowhite Drive-in. Decades, even, but I remembered that it used to be pretty good, so we tried it today (Sept 1). The patties were big, well-seasoned, and had a bit of char on them. The burgers were better than many of the larger chains (for instance, the ones with clowns and kings), but maybe not as good as some of the others. The fries were ok, and probably came out of a Sysco bag and dropped into a fryer. As for service, you order at a window, wait to hear your name, and get your food from another window. Not a lot of service going on there. Snowhite Drive-in would probably merit five stars from me if they had one more thing, though: A bathroom available to customers. Like all good burgers, these were a little messy, but there's no place to wash your hands. That's reason enough for me to choose another place. read more

Anyways, the food came out quick and fueled my soul, put me in a happy mood to continue on my weekend local backroads road trip. I got a taco. It's ground beef served in a house made tortilla. The tortilla size is larger than street taco. They crisped up the tortilla on the flat grill, I liked that. The taco was filled with ground beef, shredded lettuce, shredded cheese (2 cheese blend), and cilantro. They offer packets of taco sauce. The meat had hints of cilantro cooked in it. But it wasn't strong enough to overpower the flavor. I'm not a fan of cilantro. With that said, I still totally dug the taco. Yum! Stellar. Plus the price was $3.25. Bargain. The fries were thick cut and came out hot. Yes, they're frozen, not fresh cut. I have no issues with that since they were tasty. A small order was $2.99. Hubs had the cheeseburger combo $11.99 with drink and fries. $6.65 just the cheeseburger. The burger fixings were fresh. The burger came out hot. The patty was mostly likely frozen but not a bad quality. It tasted good. No complaints. Right now are winter hours. There are a few tables under an awning. The tables and patio was super clean. The cleanest hamburger stand I have ever seen. The parking lot was paved, easy to maneuver about. The neighborhood was safe and not sketchy. The place has no public restrooms, typical of hamburger stands. But Lodi Lake park is across the street, there are public restrooms there. I didn't utilize it though. Also there are shopping plazas with anchor stores not far away. History Lesson: A bit of history, Sno-White Drive In chain was created in Stockton, CA, in the early 1950s. By the late 1960s, they were franchised and California had 200 throughout the state. The franchise no longer exists. This Drive In opened in 1959. A few blocks away is the General Mills cereal factory which opened in 1940 and shut down operations in 2015. Lodi Lake is across the street from the Drive In. read more

After a long day traveling from San Francisco, our family was starving. We first went to Foster's Freeze, but their ice cream machine was down and they recommended Snow White Drive In. It was our first time here. Upon arriving, a customer in line told us they're only serving ice cream because they've already cleaned and about to close. But to our surprise, Hailey welcomed us and told us she will make whatever we want and they're happy to serve us! With my background managing customer service, Hailey exudes great customer service, got our order 100% right, fast service, and was very professional, confident, courteous all with a smile. It took us 5-7 minutes to ordered 2 burgers, 1 corndog, and a milkshake because of how many times we had to repeat ourselves. We were there last customers of the night. Snowhite Drive In is nostalgic Lodi, Ca and been a staple in the community for decades. I bought a 2nd home here and have been wanting to try this place and can't believe it took me this long. From the outside it looks like something right out of the 50's-60's. It is a walk up burger, sandwiches and ice cream. This summer my wife and I loved treating ourselves after a walk around Lodi lake (which is directly across the street) to a sundae or cone. Last week decided to try one of their burgers and while straightforward was super tasty. They make everything to order and you can tell by the flavors and taste.
