Very RUDE lady (about late 50's) at the window early morning hours. She refuses to take my order. Even the cook acknowledged my presence and made motion to her and she waved me off and told him something- he just looked at me with his hands up, like she wasn't coming to the window to take my order. Why? Because I always ask for my breakfast burrito to be cut in half? Who knows- this lady acts like I did something to her and I've always been very polite and I do say 'Thank you', and she never reciprocates- she just scoffs at me. I used to be a loyal customer of Yellow Basket before they renovated and went downhill. I used to come in for the breakfast burritos. On one of my last trips they didn't get my order right they agreed to replace it, but when we called to do it the person was extremely rude and refused to credit the food. I tried it 2 more times after that but both times my family ended up with diarrhea for hours. Recently remodeled. Looks great and not "dated" anymore. I ordered the Fried Chicken dinner plate. The chicken was juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Just the way fried chicken should be. The plate comes with fires and about 4 onion rings as well as a side salad and a drink of choice. This place is not the cheapest but the prices are reasonable. I really tried to like this place as I'm a huge advocate of small business but seems like this place upgraded the building but downgraded their service and food. I'm not going to say I "regret" spending $70 for brunch but it won't happen again. They got my order wrong after repeating it THREE times at the drive through. The egg white burrito had nothing but tortilla stuffed w potatoes. The Garden burger was disgusting. Their pancakes are dry & the French toast was "okay". There are a plethora of diners in my area, but this is one that I've never been to, but I've driven past is numerous times. I ordered the carne aside burrito no rice, with added cilantro and onions today. It was okay. The burrito doesn't automatically come with cilantro and onions, so you have to request it. It comes with pico de gallo by default. My only complaint was that the carne aside was a little too salty. No big deal though. Parking: they have their own parking lot, and it wasn't crowded when I went, so i was able to find parking fairly easily. Seating: very open. It has a lot of windows so you get a lot of natural light wherever you choose to sit. Price: it's not as expensive as the other diners I've been to but the quantity of their food is just as generous as other diners I've been to. It's a good place to come with if you have a group of friends with you, since most of their dishes are easily shareable. read more

I have eaten at almost all of them and my recent visit has lead me to a not so pleasant meal, my least favorite in fact. I recall this place being in a much better condition than the condition it's in now. Even though there are cars parked in the lot, a line in the drive-thru, customers eating at a table or two, the place feels deserted and run down. The prices on the menu board are covered with paper and tape, maybe from the constant increase of cost. The main counter is wide and spacious yet it is bare with nothing to offer but a coffee maker and a container with condiments. The smell of the place is not of bacon and eggs but of lemon bathroom cleaner. There is no greeting at the door. There are no smiles in the faces behind the counter. I ordered the spinach omelette with extra crispy hash browns and rye toast. The first bite was delicious, the next was decent and the ones after that were daunting. The hash browns were basic and the rye toast was buttered only on one slice. Unfortunately, my omelette was all cheese and spinach with a pinch of egg. It was very rich and I did not finish it. They have a lot of different things on their menu so if you and your friends don't know what to eat, you should probably come here. My coworkers and I come here often since it's close to our office and they always like what they get, and we always get something different every time. I've gotten the club sandwich, which was ginormous, but all the toppings were falling out of the sandwich since they gave me so much. I also got the avocado burger which was good too. My boss likes to get the jr. cheeseburger with egg. Their onion rings are really good too! Another coworker always gets the breakfast burrito. Usually there's parking, but it's just hard to see the line. The drive thru is very different here. You go up to the sign but you have to run over the "bell" on the ground so they know you're there. This place has been around for a while now. Surprised that there are not a lot of reviews for it. It's on the corner of Avalon and 223rd in the great city of Carson. It's near both the 405 and 110 Freeways. The one thing about the food at this place is that no matter what you order it's going to be huge. I always order burgers, chicken strips but most of all carne asada burritos. At about $6 dollars a plate, you're going to spend about $25 for the whole family. But there's enough food for leftovers to last the family for two days. It's your typical burger joint, lunch truck, roach coach food so it's filling at best. The staff there are attentive but they're not there to make your day, just take your order. Other than that, I don't eat in the restaurant, just usually buy take out. So if you're ever lost in the South Bay, which is a good place to be lost compared to the Valley or IE, get some food at Yellow Basket and make sure you order any burrito. read more

They give way too much food here. The rings are great. I absolutely love their curtido. The Phili was not bad either. Good flavor. The only thing was that we ate here and the seating area is kind of jenky. Look, I don't expect it have marble floors and chic Cherrywood booths. The table that we sat at had the stickiest tabletop. Sticky! Like someone rubbed maple syrup all over the table. And it was dirty from the person before. We moved tables and there was still that stickiness. Which is why they are getting 3 stars. Good food for its value. Its a mom and pop quick stop. They're burgers hit the spot when you're in the mood for a charbroiled burger with thousand island dressing. It's a 7/10 for me because the meat is thin. I just had some breakfast with my daughter. The kids meal is 1 big pancake 1 sausage and 1 egg. Great size. I had their French Toast I was impressed!
