Really impressed with the wide variety of sides.
    Jenn H.

There were SO many things I wanted to try on my first visit. At the suggestion of the owner/chef who was bussing tables and cleaning, I went with the El Pollo Verde Omelet. DELISH. You can taste the freshness and authentic flavors. I had a choice of side and a bread. So many choices! I got Spanish brown jasmine rice. So good. Not your traditional Spanish rice but full of flavor. My bread was hard to pick too but I went with rye. The meal is massive and sooooo reasonably priced. I'm mad and sad I don't live closer but my waistline is definitely happy I don't. Savannah was super sweet. Very nice server and patient with all of my first timer questions. The place had a western diner vibe. They have patio and indoor seating. Parking is bad. They do have their own lot in the back but the place is busy. There are public lots on 7th and 8th.

Lemon Pancakes with combo add on (2 eggs and 2 bacon)

I was looking online to see if anything in the area looked good for breakfast and came across a review mentioning Lemon Pancakes so I figured I'd give San Pedro Cafe a try. Immediately upon entry, I noticed that the restaurant was fairly full for a Monday morning so that was a good sign. I was seated immediately but then it took a minute for my server to come and check on me, even though I mentioned I was ready to order. All was forgotten when my lemon pancakes made their way to the table. 3 huge fluffy pancakes smothered in sour cream and topped with a single strawberry. (I opted for the combo so mine had the 2 bacon and 2 eggs as well.) I felt the price was fair for what I ordered (pancakes were $9.99 and the combo add on was $4.50 I think)

Café by day and fabulous upscale diner by morning, with service that makes you smile -- it's the kind of place I'd go to every day if I lived in walking distance. The coffee flows without asking, and the food is delicious. San Pedro offers portions, buzzing ambience, and immensely friendly service by a team that seems happy and eager to help. Fantastic!

Service was fantastic and food was delicious! I will return next time in town. That's all I've got to say.

I took my mom and her helper to see the Korean Friendship Bell. After admiring the craftsmanship of the bell, and enjoying the beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean, we were ready to eat! Our helper Yelped for a brunch place nearby, and came up with San Pedro Cafe. The parking in the back was packed, luckily someone was leaving so we took their space. The restaurant was dimly lit with lots of wood. Nice staff sat us at a table, and made room for my mom in her wheelchair. We ordered: - garlic parmesan fries - 1/2 tuna sandwich on squaw bread with vegetabl soup - Chilaquiles - Strawberry Walnut Salad with Arugula, green & red leaf, spinach, candied walnuts, sliced strawberries, sliced almonds and orange wedges. Tossed in our honey balsamic and topped with tortilla wedges. I added chicken for an additional $2.95. HUGE PORTIONS with soda in HUGE glasses. Everything was fresh and delicious, our group had a great experience. Thanks Yelp for another great find!

came here on a friday AM bc my dad has been wanting to try their breakfast, one of his nurses was raving about their toasts... ive ate here before after a hike with my girlfriends, i remember it being really busy on the wknds and huge portions! so the fam and i grabbed a table outside bc my pups was with us. service was great and friendly, the service was a but slower towards the end, but maybe it was me bc i needed to get back to work lol ordered to share: blueberry pancakes the deli omelet homemade corned beef hash ted's special weekly detox the prices were really fair and reasonable! portions were huge. we were all able to share and it was all really delicious!! the highlight would be their homemade banana bread!!! get it! it is sooo good! def will be back to order a loaf! our server even gave my furbaby a bowl of water and milk bones :D parking: there is a lot behind the restaurant, free for 3 hrs!

Yummm. I've been here 2x now and I'm in love ha Tony is great and he recommended the Reuben. (I subbed cole slaw for sauerkraut). He recommended Mac n cheese as the side. It also came w mustard and a pickle and a side of Cole slaw (which was so good). I didn't get my corned beef fix for st Patrick's day so super happy to get some home made pastrami. Way better than the deli pastrami at other places (classics) and more reasonably priced and comes with a side compared to the sandwich shops (saloon and busy bees). Service was great both times. Never rushed. Nice ambience. Nice music. Covered Outdoor seating too. Loved the crunchy French toast for breakfast (I didn't need the fruit). It was so big! The biscuits and gravy was amazing. And we had a slice of that bread which was homemade. Next time I'll try the tri tip combo w onion rings Happy customer :)

came here for breakfast after a hike nearby and it was very enjoyable. the prices are very reasonable and there are so many options on the menu. i tried the breakfast burrito and the french toast, as well as an espresso martini. all were enjoyable! service was friendly. i sat outside because i had a dog with me but food came out quickly regardless. server went on break but was so communicative in letting us know that someone else would be checking on us in the meantime. it made our experience so pleasant.

Food was home made and absolutely delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive even though they were super busy (Sunday breakfast rush). All of this food was under $70 for four people! Food was worth every penny. Inside was clean, busy, with a comfy diner feel. This is a Pedro staple!

What a great little spot in downtown San Pedro! You can tell this is a cherished local place. I was in town to board a cruise and wanted to find a good spot for breakfast. SPC was recommended to us by a waiter the night before. The food was great! We ordered Ted's Special and the Weekly Detox, both under the weekday specials. This place is super affordable, has lovey waitstaff, and a great spot. We will be back, for sure!

Visited this place for breakfast one morning during our stay in San Pedro close to the harbor. We were seated immediately. The restaurant isn't particularly elaborate, but the food was outstanding. Generous portions and incredibly tasty! The staff was exceptionally welcoming. The establishment was tidy and adequately staffed. There's an outdoor seating area too. Everything was superb! The service, food, and ambiance were all impressive. The cinnamon swirl pancakes were amazing! The bacon was cooked just right, along with the eggs. We will probably return in the next few days while we're in town.

SP Café has officially stolen my breakfast-loving heart. Huevos Rancheros These were nothing short of phenomenal. The eggs were perfectly cooked, nestled over a hearty bed of refried beans and smothered in a vibrant green chile sauce that packed flavor without overpowering the dish. The melted cheese added the perfect savory layer, while the drizzle of crema and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro tied everything together beautifully. Paired with their crispy, golden-brown potatoes -- slightly caramelized on the edges with pops of diced peppers -- every bite was a perfect balance of textures and flavors. It's comfort food elevated to art. Blueberry Pancakes Fluffy, golden, and generously dotted with fresh blueberries, these pancakes were a breakfast dream. The dusting of powdered sugar gave them a delicate sweetness, while the fresh fruit added bursts of brightness. Served with warm syrup, creamy butter, and a side of perfectly scrambled eggs and crispy bacon, it's the kind of classic plate that reminds you why breakfast is the best meal of the day. Final Thoughts SP Café doesn't just serve breakfast -- they serve happiness on a plate. Whether you're craving a bold, savory Mexican-inspired dish or a sweet, classic American breakfast, this place delivers flavor, freshness, and comfort in every bite.

If I had to nitpick - I'd note that the cups here are a tad undersized - so the large tea bags take up a substantial portion of the cup (which in turn, throws off the balance/composition of the tea, etc.). If you call to place an order after 8 PM (which I do from time to time), they'll very rarely answer the phone. This, of course, gets in the way of being able to pop in and out for a quick pre-ordered drink. The folks at Hojas should do a better job of staying on top of phone calls - that's Customer Service 101! A little fine-tuning would go a long way here - fixing the cup size issue + upping the consistency with phones would be a big plus. :) PRO TIP: Parking on 6th Street can be a little unforgiving - so try to be courteous with not hogging the spaces in front for too long (there aren't many!)
