Service was great. Store was clean. Minimal space inside to find a seat. Sucks that they were out of cold brew when I went. I bought their Campesino Latte and Not Your Regular Mocha. Both drinks were okay. Nothing that would make me want to go back for. Minimal coffee dedicated shops in San Pedro which is why I went to this one. Prices are average for what a normal cup of coffee costs nowadays. Don't think I'll be coming back here. If you haven't tried them, I would first give them a shot. You might have a better experience.
Love this place -- ordered the Cafe de Olla and a vegan protein-packed pistachio chia seed parfait -- yummy! Their sweet bread with Dulce de Leche was also delicious! There is seating available indoors, and street parking. The staff were over the top friendly and helped me with my decision on what to order -- awesome! Would definitely be back since I get my haircut in the area, this will be my be go to spot in town.
A wonderful local coffee shop serving unique Aramaic coffee beans and delicious pastries. The staff is friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and inviting experience from the moment you walk in. There's street parking available nearby, and the cozy atmosphere is enhanced by music playing from the vinyl record player, giving the space a relaxed, vintage feel. Great vibe, excellent coffee and a comfortable place (inside and outside seating), to spend some time. Highly recommend!
Things I loved about Distrito: The coffee (duh), minimal decor, patient and friendly service. They also play vinyl records... like what else can you ask for?! Was on vacation and hadn't had a decent cup of coffee in daysss so I was fiending for a tasty caffeine fix. Left the San Pedro pier area and straight over to Distrito. Located in a small old town shopping strip, there aren't a lot of parking lots, but we managed to find meter parking rather quickly. Seems to the be the popping neighborhood spot. There was a line and I could see that the 2 employees were making orders with such care that I knew the wait would be worth it. The vibe was super chill. Neo soul tunes on vinyl had me right away. The music complimented the clean lines and chill ambiance Distrito gave off from the first step inside. Small menu, wish I was hungry so that I could have tried a tasty pastry. Ordered my go to vanilla latte with almond milk. Hit the spot just like I had expected. I was doing a little happy dance inside. If I'm ever in the area again, I'm heading right over.
Hipster coffee joint to the extreme Wandering the streets of San Pedro, just finished a cup of coffee from a nautically themed coffee place and saw this place open up as well. Was on vacation, so I figured why not get another cup of coffee and be really awake. Inside, it's what I consider to be minimalistically hipster. There's a simple barista station, a toast tablet register, a singular shelf on the wall with records, and nothing else in the place. It borders on the edge of either being very hipster or just not decorated at all. Which I can respect, although I suspect someone with some artistic touches needs to come in and make the space feel more inhabited than it currently is. I get the not your mama's mocha. A Mexican chocolate latte and hibiscus cake because they looked good. Drink took a little while to make because they had to do most everything by hand. Took my pics and took my sips. The earthy, spiced chocolate paired with the light and fruity coffee worked well in terms of flavor contrast. The chocolate didn't have a lot of cocoa solids in it which lead to a bit of grittiness in the coffee. For denser chocolates, you got to put in more fat to help emulsify everything. So probably swapping the whole milk to half and half, melting the chocolate in the cream then frothing to layer in the latte might've been a better choice to help with texture. The hibiscus cake was soft, moist, and very floral. Not too sweet, but just the right hint of sugar to make it sweet enough. A very delicate but tasty bite. Price was pretty high. Both items coming out to about 16 bucks. Not a cheap bite, but pretty good for what you get. It's a very trendy coffee shop, asking for a lot for a little but giving a good cup of joe in return. It's not a place I would seek out, but for the area it's pretty good.
If you're looking for an early morning cup of joe to get you going, Distrito is a great option if you're in Pedro.. Forget Starbucks and the other chains that serve bitter, over roasted coffee sitting for hours. I'm in the area for early morning meetings from time to time and Distrito opens at 7 am. Distrito is my main option. My go to here and usual is a cold brew. Distrito doesn't roast their own coffee but they do use local roasters. One being Piscaresca Barra from Boyle Heights which I'm a fan of. I'm not sure where they source their pastries but I did order a chocolate croissant that wasn't fresh. Tasted a day or two old. I should of asked even though they did offer to heat it up (not the same fresh daily). Cool spot to chill with a few spots to sit and read book or kill some time.
I really enjoyed this coffee spot. I drove from Hermosa Beach to try this place out. I tend to order a quad on ice, pretty simple. I find a good well-versed coffee shop knows what to do with that order and the ones that struggle are the ones I probably don't re-visit. I visited a coffee shop down the street from Distrito Coffee and was not pleased with how they priced their quad on ice (it's often over-charged because it's not ordered correctly by the cashier). That was no the case here! The two guys working there were super laid back and friend. I loved the charming vibe of the arts district as it seeped into this shop too. I enjoyed my quad on ice, it was very delicious. I loved the subtle earthy tones and richness of the espresso. The guy who handed me the drink was super friendly and nice. I would make the drive again! Highly recommend. :)
I've been wanting to try this place for a while since I am local and finally had an opportunity. I came in and I'm not sure if they were short staffed but I had to wait 15 minutes to even order a drink. I decided to go with the iced cafe de olla because I was in a rush and figured the café was already made. They just needed to ice it. The Café de Olla needed to have a little bit more cinnamon, but it was good. I've heard a lot of great things about Distrito so I'm hoping that this was just an off day. I do you want to go back and try some of their other drinks when I'm not pressed for time.
5 Wow. The campesino syrup makes everything taste even better. Loved the vegan protein options. We had an iced matcha latte with campesino syrup and the campesino latte with almond milk. Delicious lemon and coconut vegan protein bowl. Would highly recommend.
Distrito Coffee is a cute minimalistic coffee spot located in San Pedro. Its serving up "street coffee". They have your basic coffee drinks in addition to speciality drinks. They're open M- F from 7am- 3pm and S-S from 7am- 4pm. During my visit, I was greeted right away and got my "go to" coffee drink which is an iced vanilla latte. The drink was pretty spot on! Great amount of milk and sweetener. You never know how it'll taste since every cafe amounts are slightly different. So the first sip is always a magical surprise! Haha
A small coffee shop in the heart of Pedro The staff was super kind. He thanked me for checking them out after finding out it was my first time there! My partner got their drip (tinto) and I got their not your regular mocha. The staff's recommendation was not your regular mocha and it was super rich.
Love this place! I'm not that much of a coffee expert, but I love the coffee here because it's smooth, it's not bitter and it tastes good. I love the cafe de olla with oat milk and the cortado. The pastries I haven't had in a while but I remember I liked it. My only complaint is sometimes they have off hours where they close early or aren't open when they're supposed to be. They have AESOP soap and lotion in the bathroom which is really good quality. Try it and tell me all about it!
Really great local spot with delicious coffee! I got their oatmilk latte and would recommend. They do have some outside seating too to enjoy your coffee outside. Make sure to stop by!

What a cute coffee shop! Street parking, some seating outside and inside. Very well decorated, got a great local vibe. Service was great! The girl who helped me was so kind and was a great conversationalist. Ordered the not your average mocha, whole milk is their default so if you don't want that make sure to change it. Coffee was amazing. So happy I got a chance to support local business on my way to the farmers market. Will absolutely return. read more

This is my new go-to coffee spot in San Pedro. Their americano is one of the best ones I've ever had. Very smooth and delicious. 10/10! My coworker tried their flat white and said it was really good too. I'll definitely have to try one of the pastries next time because they look so yummy. Distrito Coffee is a sleek, modern coffee shop that's kind of small inside and just has a few tables and chairs, with a couple more outside. I'd recommend coming after 9am when the morning rush dies down. Whenever I visit, there's only 2 baristas working so the line to order may get long when it's busy. The baristas are friendly, and they know how to make a great cup of coffee. Can't wait to come back for another americano! read more

was looking for a cafe in the area and saw that this one had good reviews. I came v early on a Sunday and no one was there (it seemed like it had j opened). there is no parking lot, but luckily there was ample street parking available at the time (also free since it was a Sunday!) the aesthetic was v minimalistic and modern which I liked and took as a good sign. we ordered: - matcha latte: honestly the color of it was already indicative that it wouldn't be good. it tasted extremely watered down and low quality. it was hard to drink and I ended up not finishing it - chai latte: usually I like chai lattes and get it as a safe option so I told my friend to get this so I can try it. it was horrible... tasted like cinnamon water. I was more surprised by the disappointment of this drink as I've never had a bad chai latte until this one - espresso shot: my friend ordered this and said it wasn't good (I'm not a coffee drinker so I didn't try it) overall, v shocked by the good reviews this place has. I'm wondering if maybe only their coffee items are good? but I would not recommend their tea lattes read more
Distrito was recommended for a quick meet on a rainy Sunday morning. The baristas were friendly, welcoming, and patient as I decided on my treats. The coffee was delicious - enjoyable temperature, not overly sweet, and flavorful. My Latte Campesino drink was paired with a warm, flaky almond croissant. The space offers some indoor and outdoor seating, which may get tricky during busier hours. I'd like to try more drinks and some roasts to take home. read more

Love their lattes with oat milk. My husband loves their cappuccino and butter croissant. The service is great and sometimes you can have a cool conversation with an employee or a patron. read more
Tiny little hole in the wall, but it has great coffee. I got the "not your regular mocha" and it's awesome. The chocolate is dark quality chocolate with less sugar content. It's more authentic than typical American chocolate. And the coffee is strong. Not as bitter, but rich. There's zero comparison between franchise coffee and this coffee. This is quality stuff. The baristas do the little leaf pattern on top, and every sip is enjoyable. The lemon olive oil cake is fantastic too! read more

This is my current favorite coffee spot! The coffee is scrumptious and you can taste the quality of the coffee beans! This minimalist cute coffee shops is located in downtown San pedro in what they call the arts district. I have tried the campesino latte which is my go to, or also the cortado or cortadito! All of these you can really taste the strong espresso flavor. I have also tried the cold brew and the mocha latte which are not a miss either! It's really what you're in the mood for! I plan to go back and order the cortado which is espresso shots with steamed milk. I have yet to try their pastries but I surely plan to the next time I visit. The service is great and all the employees know what they're doing when it comes to the baristas. The parking is a little conflicting as there are meters and limited parking spaced on the street! read more

Distrito is still, by far, the best coffee and matcha in San Pedro. My roommate and I are regulars and are obsessed. The staff is so kind and welcoming, the space is always clean and chic, the coffee is tasty and amazing, and the matcha is always hand whisked on the spot. We love distrito :) read more

Yay! Finally a great coffee spot that is NOT Starbucks in Downtown San Pedro! Very welcoming and our barista had a wonderful personality and vibe. You can smell the beans brewing as you walk up. Not bitter in taste at all. Definitely will be my go-to coffee spot. AAAAND... they do sell their coffee beans as well. read more

Great service every time. I had been searching for a cordodito since the time I had it in Miami. I was so happy when I foud this coffee shop. They also have yummy Matcha lattes. It's unsweetened so I had vanilla with oat milk to mine. Its a small coffee shop and get get slightly jammed pack but they move fairly quickly. I much rather than patronize this business than Starbucks. They use quality coffee. read more

This wonderful little shop, with its clean industrial design, is located in the heart of the San Pedro Arts District. Distrito has brought Columbian style street coffee to LA with great drinks & friendly service. I had a terrific Cortadito (2oz espresso mixed w/ panela & 2oz of milk) and my Son enjoyed his smooth rich Matcha Latte a single-origin matcha from Honshu Japan mixed w/ milk. The shop is very clean and neat with a few tables inside and a few more on the sidewalk in front. Parking is meter only on the street with a few large city lots nearby. I love this coffee shop and plan to make it my regular spot when I'm in San Pedro. read more
