Finally popped in here to get a refreshing juice to boost my immune system. I added echinacea to the green juice (glow I think) and it was delicious. I chatted with the owner who was at the counter and she was super friendly! I also tried a freshly baked banana muffin (vegan and GF). Loved it! Can't wait to come back here to try some of their other food or smoothies. This is the perfect spot if you are looking for something healthy or just a quick drink to take on the go.

Super cute vegan Café. Excellent service.super yum juice. Pet friendly! Will be back.

Faux Tuna Salad

New all-vegan spot just off Shilsole, not far from Market St. They offer healthier vegan food, by way of sandwiches, salads, smoothies, and juices. I stopped in before close, looking for a snack, and ordered the faux tuna salad ($12.50++). The faux tuna contains with chickpeas, celery, carrots, onion, seaweed, sunflower seeds and vegan mayo; and that is served on top of a bed of mixed greens, cherry tomatoes and cucumber. The faux tuna salad was quite solid -- good textures, nicely balanced flavours, though maybe missing a little something to be truly sensational. Lots of greens and fresh tomatoes, which was appreciated. Prices are reasonable, and portions are on the large side (at least as judged by my salad) -- good value for money. I wish they'd drop the organic thing, as I prefer not to pay extra for something that is actually worse for the environment and no healthier than standard food. Oh well. Overall, great spot. I will return next time I'm in Seattle.

Faux Tuna Salad Sandwich yummy! Next time I'll spring for adding avocado

Excellent food service and ambiance - tucked in the corner of the corner of 22nd and Shilshole in Ballard - it's a gem!

Adorable tiny vegan spot in Ballard. Parking can be a bit tricky but we got lucky and found a spot on the street nearby during the Farmer's Market hours. We ordered a couple of smoothies, the tempeh sandwich, and PB&J for our son. Our picky toddler loved the PB&J and there was plenty leftover to take to go. Tempeh sandwich was very fresh and filling, the bread was so delicious! The smoothies were much less sweet than I expected. My taste buds adjusted and it tasted healthy rather than overly filling which some smoothies tend to be. The owner / employees were SO kind and helpful. Everything was compostable. Highly recommend supporting this local vegan business

The service was great, the baristas were super friendly and accommodating. The green juice was delicious, as well as the chocolate iced coffee coconut situation. Would love to come back and try more drinks and food!

Go green juice!

So happy this spot opened up! Seattle needed a new healthy organic food spot and this place didn't disappoint. They have unique smoothie and juice flavors and my vegan tuna sandwich was so fresh and flavorful, even the bread itself tasted incredibly fresh. Definitely going to be a go-to spot. Can't wait to try some of the other items on the menu next time!

Fresh high quality ingredients, whole grains, unique lattes (no sugar syrups) sweetened with dates, open airy cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, plant filled patio hidden from traffic, bike parking on street corner, all compostable plates, forks, cups for a zero waste meal. Perfect lunch stop after a long bike ride. We were able to leave our bike on the patio within view while eating inside. We had the vegan "tuna"sandwich and tempeh sandwich both very flavorful. I had to save half for dinner as the portion was large, but my husband was able to eat the whole sandwich. We also split the Oats & Figs Cookie smoothie and it tasted just like an oatmeal cookie. Also enjoyed the dense moist banana nut muffin. A delicious hearty meal that left us feeling good afterwards. Amazingly all the paper plates, plastic and cutlery is composted for a zero waste dinings experience. We would definitely return and hope they add a creamy mushroom soup for the fall season.

Go Green juice was very good! Usually with a green juice it's healthy but you maybe have to force yourself to drink it, not so with this, it was actually enjoyable Lol. Lots of neat stuff on the menu. I will be back to try more.

Delicious Faux Tuna Salad with house organic pickled beets add on, Super Essential and Ohh Kay Today smoothies!

This spot is a little hidden gem! Healthy plant based juice and smoothies, salads and quick bites. And they sell plants! Can it get any better?! I asked the owner, who is lovely, what her favorite thing on the menu was and she said the Faux Tuna Salad with a house organic pickled beets! It was soooo good. I cannot wait to come back and try more. We tried some delicious smoothies too! The service was excellent. The owner is so sweet and I love the vibe inside! Very clean and modern with some cute earthy vibes! Just what Ballard needed!

My friend ordered the tomato feta toast and it took over 25 minutes when we were the only ones inside, then came out looking completely different and tasted gross, with soggy bread, missing the side salad. $16 with tip for that was unbelievable. They could have atleast cut it down the middle for us lol. I ordered the toasted banana chia pudding and they lost my order then it took 40 minutes, not even busy inside. The food itself was WAY overpriced and not good for a place that looked nice and pretty. It didn't have the advertised cashew butter and tasted like nothing at all, consisted of three total ingredients that should have cost $6 at most. Not sure where the "toasted" of toasted banana chia pudding went. Would not recommend, we wished we had gotten açaí bowls from a place nearby instead, they would have hit so much harder smh. Wasn't full after either. The woman serving us wasn't great. I haven't written a yelp review in a long time but thought this was worthy of my opinion.

We've lived here for years and I cannot believe it took us this long to try Cardoon. What a GEM!!!…read more The interior is cozy, fun, and relaxed. It's definitely one of those places that immediately makes you want to settle in and stay awhile (and we had no power so, we certainly did!). Everything we ordered was delicious, and the drinks were super unique and incredibly smooth. But I NEED to talk about the rose cookie. I have literally been dreaming about it. No exaggeration. It was that good. Perfectly delicate, fragrant, and memorable in a way that makes you immediately want another one. The service was lovely, the atmosphere was great, and the food and drinks were outstanding. Truly such an incredible spot and I'm already looking forward to going back. There was also a special Makeworth espresso shot that tasted like watermelon SO unique, do try it if you're into adventurous espresso!

My husband and I walk past Cardoon all the time, so one day we finally stopped in. The cafe is cute and cozy and makes good use of a small space with benches along the walls and low tables. It's not the kind of cafe you would work on your laptop for hours from, but instead meet a friend or read a book. They were out of chocolate chip cookies when we arrived, but the barista said they had a new batch in the oven if I could wait 30 minutes. I waited, and boy was it worth the wait. The cookie was warm and gooey, while still crispy on the edges. There are pools of dark chocolate and flakes of sea salt, and undertones of anise, making it a delectable cookie. Overall, a great experience and I will definitely be back to try some drinks!

The music was at that perfect volume where it adds energy to the space but still lets you have an easy conversation -- an underrated detail that makes a big difference. The menu is ideal for sharing, which made the whole experience feel a little more social and relaxed. Every dish we ordered was on point -- fresh, flavorful, and clearly well thought out. You know it's a great meal when you're already talking about what you want to order next time before the table is cleared. Service was friendly, attentive, and genuine without hovering. This is the kind of spot you get excited to bring friends to because you know it will deliver. Fantastic for brunch or dinner, and easily a place we'll keep in regular rotation. Highly recommend.

The charming outdoor seating immediately caught our attention and made for a relaxing lunch spot. We ordered the Café Mezze Plate, Shakshuka, and Mushroom Toast--more food than the two of us would normally order, but since it was our first visit, we wanted to sample a variety of dishes. The Café Mezze Plate came with an assortment of mezze, including hummus, whipped feta, roasted eggplant, green tahini, marinated olives, cucumber and turmeric cauliflower pickles, along with house-made pita and pita chips. It was fun to try so many different flavors, although the portions felt a bit small for the $36 price tag. The Shakshuka was flavorful but a little spicy for my daughter, though I enjoyed it. It came with two perfectly cooked eggs and two pieces of house-made pita. At $18, it was decent, but nothing particularly memorable. We couldn't finish the Mushroom Toast, so we took it home and had it the next day. It actually reheated very well and still tasted delicious. Overall, this café has a lovely atmosphere, especially the outdoor seating, making it a great place to gather with friends. The food was enjoyable, but the prices felt a bit on the high side for what was served. I'd be open to coming back if I were in the area, though it wouldn't be at the top of my recommendation list.

They have so many yummy options, but I settled on a mushroom and Gruyère pastry and an earl grey blueberry cruffin. The mushroom and Gruyère pastry was SO good!!! Buttery flaky layers of dough with a strong earthy mushroom flavor and savory cheese - an absolute umami bomb. We ate it the day after and threw it in the air fryer for a couple of minutes, and it was so delicious. The cruffin was huge! Topped with a delicious light Earl grey cream that wasn't too sweet. It was filled with a blueberry cream and was definitely very filling. There's a lot of sugar coating it, as is standard with cruffins, but it's a nice sweet treat. Definitely coming back for the mushroom and Gruyère pastry and to try their other delicious flavors. Their supreme croissant flavor switches often and we can't wait to try the next one! How I heard of this place: Their soft then grand opening was in a space previously called One Cup,…read moreand while driving by one lone afternoon, we found that ownership and name had changed. We were thrilled to discover it's new management's plans and community, service oriented nature - not to mention their excellent breakfast sandwiches and good beverages! Type of cuisine: Cafe fare - espresso beverages, as well as non-caffeinated items for kids and those who prefer not to partake. Breakfast sandwiches, burritos, pastries. Ambiance: Large, expansive and spacious. There is a small patio with outdoor seating available, should you prefer to dine facing Aurora's traffic congestion. But inside, office furniture helps create separte-feeling booth-like seating with small coffee/end tables for your purchases. Large tables, too, conference sized grace the main space for those wishing to work alone on devices, or engage in conversation among friends and family. An open area also exists, accounting for about one-third of the entire room, which allows for gathering while standing, as well as providing ample space for lines to grow and distance to be maintained (covid-safe). What I ordered: On most ever visit, I stick with my favorites: the bacon breakfast sandwich (if you like the bacon crispy, as that it be cooked out of the sandwich and alongside then placed inside), the sweet potato scone, the sausauge breakfast sandwich and the slightly spicy, vegan potato, bean burrito. My beverage of choice is the Melanin Mocha (dark chocolate moch), though I've also ordered the blackberry mocha, and a couple of others. My husband always sticks with The Karen (white chocolate mocha), while our children enjoy a cup of steamed milk with caramel sauce, whipped cream and sprinkles with their food. What I loved: Everything about this place; namely its mission and complete devotion to the youth and community. Empowerment is strong in this space and the food and drinks are a bonus that amplify and support the work being done. Why I loved it: For all of the reasons listed above - and more. Cost: Average
