It had great flavor, and felt very fresh and wholesome. The interior is beautifully decorated too, adding to the vibe. With just a few tables I could imagine it getting busy on weekends, so consider going at an off-time! Only note for the owner would be to consider adding prices to the menu. I couldn't love Gigi and her cafe more! Amazing customer service and food/drink as well. We've had everything from their smoothies to açaí bowls to toasts and everything is solid. This place is just adorable!! Each bowl comes out looking like a work of art. I ordered the coco paradise bowl and my friend got the arctic berries bowl. You could really tell how fresh all the fruit was on top! The nut butters were delicious and the bases were super creamy and fresh. My boyfriend and I came here for breakfast today morning and adored the friendly service and cosy atmosphere! From the moment we stepped inside I was awestruck by the whimsy of the cottage-core decor; the homey vibe makes you feel like a regular even if it's your first time. When we arrived the cafe had two other customers, but was clean and inviting. There was only one woman behind the bar so it took a moment for her to get to us, but totally understandable for a small business during the week and we didn't have anywhere to be. Gigi was super patient taking our order, and especially accommodating with my multiple allergies and food preferences. She made my eat pray love açai bowl perfectly customised how I wanted it and it tasted incredible and totally surpassed all my expectations. I also ordered an iced oat milk hazelnut mocha latte and loved the flavour. While it was a little sweet at first, over the course of the day it stayed delicious even after all the ice melted, which is a win for a slow-bevvy-enjoyer like me. I loved that the cafe had so many fun games to play. My boyfriend picked out Connect 4 and we had a blast playing a few rounds before our breakfast arrived to the table. I was so obsessed with how gorgeous the açai bowl was I almost didn't want to eat it. It took everything in me to be patient and let my phone eat first with how delectable the fresh fruit looked. The crunch of the granola was a perfect juxtaposition to the tart smoothie base and I loved how the honey pumped up the sweetness. Downside was that some of the ingredients were so cold eating it was a bit unpleasant. When I asked the staff told me nothing was frozen but I was are kept just above freezing. I was looking for a substantial mid-afternoon snack, so I ordered their vegan sandwich (comes with a choice of plant-based chicken or tempeh--I did tempeh). The sandwich was ready in about 5 minutes. It came on a really nice whole wheat bread, with vegan pesto, marinated tempeh, arugula, and a bit of tomato. Everything worked together beautifully. Killer sandwich. Many excellent ideas and tastes at Skybowl. We tried some sandwiches and a smoothie. We visited on their soft opening. The B. S. Sandwich was pesto, tomato, arugula, hard boiled egg, turkey, on whole wheat toast. Great toast and tasty bread. Fresh ingredients and really excellent flavor. Gluten free bread is available! We also had the Bagel Lox Plate which was sort of an open faced sandwich. It had: "toasty" bagel, whipped cream-cheese, smoked salmon, red onion, and micro sprouts. There were two things that were *great* about this sandwich: there was no skimping on ingredients! Nice work! And secondly, no devilish capers! Hurrah. A suggestion for Skybowl: if you say it's toasty, please make it more toasty. Also I suggest putting the sandwich prices up on the wall next to the sandwiches. Our smoothie was a Go Fruit Yself (Coconut milk, strawberries, pineapple, banana, chia) which was super yum, though perhaps "Queen Anne" priced, if you know what I'm saying. There was a display case of freshly made baked goods we were very tempted to try - maybe next time... The staff was super duper friendly and helpful - and very receptive to feedback! The ambiance was wonderfully chill. We played a game of Connect Four here! Plus there's a hanging chair for relaxing while you wait as well as a small dine-in area. I am thrilled to have Skybowl Cafe in my neighborhood. I'm from San Diego and finding a good açaí bowl place in Seattle was difficult! There's a great variety of bowls, not just the basic açaí with frozen fruit and granola. The consistency of the bowls are actually thicker smoothie like and delicious! I've had the Flamingo as well as the Coco Paradise in just two days. The service is impeccable. Each staff member I've spoken to has been so kind and tentative. They've checked in to make sure I've gotten what I needed. Gigi is so kind and sweet! She asked for my name (and even remembered and greeted me personally the second time I came! I was pleasantly surprised she remembered me!!) and asked for feedback! Service is definitely an A+ with their genuineness and hospitality. Lastly, the cafe itself is so cozy and cute.
