Looking back at yester years, its much more healthier than the- go-to instant ramen that was the main staple among the students back then. Although, Im not in that category now, I still appreciate places like these for authenticity and Yatai delivered. I chose the Yatai ramen, which essentially was a tonkotsu (pork) broth with soft boiled egg, bamboo shoots, fungus, sprouts, green onions and chashu (pork belly). The broth was on point, rich and creamy and ramen had the perfect nice chew of fresh noodles. I am definitely coming back. Move over Top Ramen and Maruchan, this space is taken with the real deal. read more

So good that I had to go back the next day. Their signature Yatai Ramen has a nice ginger flavor, with a slight spicy undertone. The teriyaki has the same unique flavor and undertone. I think the ginger is what makes his dishes stand out versus many other ramen places I've tried. It always tastes fresh and full of flavor. read more

Found this place right after the mandatory quarantine stopped. The owner was forced to close for months and reopened a little before we walked in. Since then we've been to yatai countless times. The owner works by himself, but is extremely friendly and prompt. Definitely one of the best ramen shops around us. I love seeing small businesses soldier on after dealing with the pandemic. The yatai ramen is my favorite, but the other ones don't fall short in comparison. He hand-makes his own gyoza (maybe his own takoyaki too). I have gone through all the other entree dishes, but you won't be disappointed by the ramen for sure. read more

Passing through from New York, friends brought me to this spot. I love everything about Yatai Ramen, starting with the one man show who cooked our meal and served us our dishes with a nice presentation and was very respectful and friendly all around. Even offered a few pieces of meat for one of the patron's dog as a treat. It's so nice to see the humbleness of this owner and how much pride he puts into his place and food quality.
