Best chicken katsu curry dish. Plus it's open late so it's super convenient and delicious for those late night eats.

I've been countless times over the many years and I will always find myself coming back. I had it again recently after a while with 2 friends who've never been before and the seared tuna sashimi, sicilian hamachi, and surf n turf roll was delectable. the fish and sushi roll slices also seemed to be so much more bigger than I remembered, the portion sizes were hefty! I always love introducing my friends to kuka because of how good it is, and I have to tell them that after trying kuka no sushi restaurant will ever compare again lol sometimes the service is a little slow, so it's good to remember and get all your requests first thing in, or in the past I honestly have just gone up to the server myself and asked for whatever I needed. it's not super deterring for me though due to the amazing food that they have. I can't really speak for the quality of their non-sushi items however, as I do believe focusing on their sushi is the best way to eat here!

We were a party of 12 visiting on vacation, and none of us are from the area. We ordered spam musubi and a chicken skewer as appetizers. Both appetizers arrived well after our entrees had already been served and we had essentially finished eating. Each time we asked about them, we were repeatedly told, "They're coming." Mind you, these are simple appetizers that should not take anywhere near that long to prepare. When we asked for the third time, we finally asked that the appetizers be cancelled since we had already finished our meal. At that point, the gentleman working the front area , tall, with red hair, loudly yelled from across the restaurant, in an extremely rude and confrontational tone, "It's already on the grill!" There was absolutely no reason to speak to paying customers that way. His response was unprofessional, unnecessary, and honestly created a very hostile and uncomfortable feeling during what should have been an enjoyable dinner, especially while our group was on vacation and simply trying to enjoy a meal together. When the appetizers eventually came out, we left them sitting there because we were already done eating and ended up taking them to go. He eventually told us they would be removed from the bill, which we appreciated, but that did not excuse the way the situation was handled. Again, the food was good, but good food does not make up for poor service and especially not for an employee speaking to customers in an aggressive and disrespectful manner. Management should seriously address how customers are treated, because the interaction with this particular employee overshadowed what could have otherwise been a good dining experience for our party of 12.

We got a free thing of veggie eggrolls due to them miss hearing one of our friends and thought we ordered it. It was nothing special though it tasted like the typical frozen mushy type wasn't very good. Disappointed on the takoyaki I had just one small piece of octopus inside of it and it was just all batter. Probably some of the worst type I've had. The fried squid legs. Were good can't really mess that up unless you mess the batter up pretty badly lol the Gyoza was very fresh tasting and had the perfect amount of crunch for pan fried now the tonkatsu ramen not the best in az but it was good not oily broth more thicker nooodles more on the thinner side and the pork was tender and egg made to the perfect softness for that gooey inside the beef bulgogi plate combo was good you can't really mess up Bulgogi so it tasted like any other Bulgogi. I had definitely didn't expect it to be so small though especially with how much you're paying I pay for less for way more at other places and they give me a good amount of onions on the bottom this place I barely got any onions underneath, and it was just all burnt on the bottom. So half of my onions were just stuck to the bottom and I couldn't get them off. The side dishes, though these are some of my favorite side dishes I've had at a Korean spot in Arizona. Super sucks because I would only wanna come back for the kimchi side dishes, but didn't really enjoy the food to an extreme amount to justify driving 30 minutes back and price , some items are a bit pricey, but most of the items are priced at the same as other places I've been but you get way less I really did like their kimchi, though it really was some of the best but man so far and nothing I'd want from that menu entree wise so I think it's worth checking out but I can't justify coming back

We've been to other locations around the country and typically service / speed has been great all around. Additionally parking is a bit weird nearby , without clear indications on where to go and takes some figuring out how to get in/out of the parking structure.

The music set a fun vibe, and the service was nice and attentive. We ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen ($12.50) and sake bombs with House Sake ($3) and Kirin Light ($7.50). I loved that the sake came in a clear tokkuri. The ramen was soo delicious. I added some chili oil to my broth to give it some spice. The spice is one of those that slowly creeps up on you, but doesn't linger too long. The chashu pork was thin and savory. I usually don't enjoy bean sprouts, but here they were subtle and added a pleasant texture to the ramen. I also love that they included the naruto fish cake. I think what makes this place stand out is that at this price point, quality ramen like this is rare to find nowadays. I would consider this place a hidden gem and definitely recommend it if you are near the area. I look forward to eating it again!

The reviews looked good, and I love Ramen, which isn't easy to find a place that makes good Ramen. This is a very small place, with the kitchen right there for all to see. And in the kitchen was one older woman, and seating, taking orders, and serving was one young man. This is a Tuesday early evening, so when we entered there was only one person eating. We got seated immediately , perused the menu, got some suggestions and placed our orders. The food came quickly, hot, and tasted amazing. I got the spicy kimche broth with pork belly and tofu, and noodles. This was amazing. The noodles are made in-house, and you can tell. The broth was so flavorful, and yes spicy as I like it. My wife got a cold noodle and chicken dish, which I tasted and would have been very happy with that. I think this may be the best Ramen restaurant in the metropolitan area. Not fancy, kind of what you would find in some town in Japan. You come here for the food, not the ambiance. But I'll take this over fancy surroundings and mediocre food every time. If you love home cooked Ramen done the way it has been done in families for centuries , then go try Tampopo Ramen.
