The music set a fun vibe, and the service was nice and attentive. We ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen ($12.50) and sake bombs with House Sake ($3) and Kirin Light ($7.50). I loved that the sake came in a clear tokkuri. The ramen was soo delicious. I added some chili oil to my broth to give it some spice. The spice is one of those that slowly creeps up on you, but doesn't linger too long. The chashu pork was thin and savory. The food was so good! My boyfriend and I loved it. Service was really fast and we got seated right away even if there's a lot of people waiting. Service was on point and servers were super friendly, but the ambiance took a hit when I got wafted the essence of toilet aroma when you left the restroom door open. I would not recommend seating at in that corner. Maybe just fix the door, guys? Salmon bento box was a letdown - tiny shrimp Sumai, and flavorless fish. Meso soup and salad were good. I had an iced tea as well and the Chef shared that he just got a white peach syrup for the teas and was wondering if I would like to try it. Gluten free eater. First of all this is a little hole in the wall restaurant. It has less than a dozen seats and feels like a local joint. My favorite part of as the wait staff hugged two of the kids who were following her around. They loved her mask (it had a panda on it). It was nice to see just the local vibe and compassion from everyone working here. The menu is somewhat simple. We started with the spicy edamame. The chili oil was really good. I kept the chili oil to add to my ramen. I ordered the miso ramen with tofu. The chicken was not gluten free but none of the protein was listed as vegan or gluten free which is mentioned on their menu. There is limited gluten free options here. Their broths are flavorful and staff explains all options if you're new to their establishment. Huge portions lots of noodles I do wish there was more protein in the order. We heard some good reviews about this restaurant and decided to give it a try when we were in the area. The restaurant wasn't busy when we arrived with 3-4 tables. A waitress took our orders. We waited about 45 mins before noticing that other tables who came after us already got their food. The waitress realized that the order wasn't put it. She apologized and offered us a complimentary roll. We got our food about 20 minutes later! After we ate, the waitress brought a check which didn't include a complimentary roll. We gave our credit card. Upon the return, we saw the receipt with an additional charge of the roll which was offered as a complimentary. We inquired and got a confirmation that they canceled the additional charge and only charged the two entrees. However, we just saw that they ended up charging the complimentary roll regardless. The food was ok. However, level of service and customer care is very unsatisfactory. We wont be back again due to the dishonest service. read more

Hands down the best ramen I've had in the East Valley. My go to order is the Spicy Miso Ramen with Tofu. The broth is rich and flavorful. They also have a spicy chili oil that can pack some extra heat. You can taste that they have taken the time to prepare the broth over time. The tap water in this place tastes really bad, I'm not sure it's filtered, and it tastes like they use it in the ramen... The staff was nice but honestly, the wearing of masks is off putting and it makes me concerned for the health of the staff - breathing fresh air is a basic human function necessary for life. I think they have potential if they'd filter their water, invest in real glass glasses (not just plastic cups) and get rid of the masks. I walked a few doors down, got us a to-go order and we were on our way. Between us, we got the gyudon & the salmon bento box. I was able to sample my roomie's food so I can comment on it all. It was wonderful! The gyudon brought back memories since I grew up in CA and there was a Yoshinoya around every corner. The salmon box was supposed to come with soup & salad, but I assume they modified it since it was take out. Instead of soup, I got a little sesame ball. I'm was fine with that. The lady was nice and greeted me as soon as I walked in. She did quoted me a 15 min wait for my order, and that's about what it ran. Although she didn't mention anything about the substitution, I'm not broken hearted about it. It would have been nice if she said something before I discovered it at home, but no biggie. We were greeted and instructed to seat ourselves. The waitress came by shortly after with waters. Unlike what the website suggests, they are serving sushi again. I had the pork tonkotsu ramen and bf had the spicy miso. We added the 5 piece chicken gyoza as a combo rather than ordering the 6 piece per the waitress' recommendation, as it was cheaper. Bf was none too impressed with the gyoza and I concur; it tasted like standard, frozen gyoza. Bf and I both polished off our ramen. The tonkotsu broth was a bit salty. It's a traditional Japanese restaurant (I lived in Japan for 2 years) with a great menu. The only things that got it a 4 instead of 5 stars is the food is sometimes a little oily and it tastes like vegetable oil (not overwhelming but still detracts), the salmon is farmed, and they don't have Japanese curry . The curry is a personal favorite (only reason I really mentioned it). As far as the restaurant itself: Service: they are pretty busy so order early, whether dining in or out.
