(It was actually folded, not literally rolled.). The center was chewy, but the edges were a bit overdone for my preference. It tasted okay, but it didn't have any discernible scallion flavor. Ironic. Spice is perfect but for those who likes it really hot may need to request for extra chilli as regular spice level is not super spicy (4/5). Tonkatsu with chicken to me was not great. Descent but I wasn't too satisfied. I was also expecting the chicken to be in thin slices like the pork but they were in shreds instead. Soft and tender though (3/5) Boba Thai Tea was generic and goodbut boba were not as soft chewy that im accustomed to in Los Angeles. It also lacked flavor and sweetness that it should be cooked in. I decided to eat here with a coworker after a long week at a conference in Scottsdale. The food looked delicious from what I saw on Yelp, so we decided to go for it! This was about a 10-minute drive from where we were staying, but we thought it was no big deal. The main goal of having a ramen in the Arizona sun was mostly to help cure a hangover. When we arrived, I was shocked to have seen that there was no indoor seating. It was all patio and you couldn't even go inside to use the restroom. Def gave me 2020 vibes. I gave this place a try since I was in the neighborhood and it was ok. I got the seafood ramen and the takoyaki appetizer. The takoyaki were really hot so I had to let them cool down for quite a while. I didn't really taste any octopus or the sauces as the entire dish was doused with a lot of bonito flakes. It over powered all the other flavors. At $8, this appetizer was almost as much as a bowl of ramen. I ordered my food to go so the broth for my seafood ramen came in a separate container. The broth was good but the noodles were really yellow, like highlighter color yellow. I assumed something in the broth they were cooked in stained them that color as I've seen this sort of thing before at other restaurants but I wasn't sure what did it. The noodles were also fused into a big lump so I had to let the hot broth loosen them up for a while. There was a huge "crab" stick but only one small piece of seaweed, two tiny slices of scallops (which had no flavor), a few slices of kamaboko (the little spongy pieces with the pink swirls in them), three pieces of shrimp, and like half of a tiny squid. They also put in way too much green onion. For nearly $15, I don't think it was worth the price. I could have gotten a cheaper bowl of noodles and another appetizer for that. I left a nice tip anyway and paid with cash as I saw other reviewers saying this place charges a service fee for credit card transactions. I probably won't come back again. Side note: Apparently there are two different websites for this restaurant and they each use a different online ordering and delivery service. One is "ramentimetempe.com" and it is run through a service called "beyondmenu.com". This is the one that pops up on the top of internet searches more often. The other one is "ramentime2020.com" and this is the web address that is printed on the receipts. I'm leaning towards this one as the "official" for the restaurant but I don't know for sure. This one is run through "mealkeyway.com". When I come across situations like this where there are multiple services operating independently of each other and/or I've never heard of them, I just call the restaurant and place an order over the phone. read more
