Being there during the preopening made the experience even more interesting, especially getting a chance to see the back barrels and some of the behind the scenes setup. Service was great for a preopening. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and seemed ready to take on the crowds once things officially got going. Ambiance was one of the things that stood out to me. The restaurant had a modern and energetic feel, and getting to see some of the behind the scenes areas during the preopening added a cool touch to the experience. Our visit started off pretty rocky, but thankfully our server, Rigo, completely turned things around. We arrived right as happy hour was starting, and the restaurant was pretty empty. We were told there would be about a 25-minute wait because they were waiting for servers to arrive. We requested patio seating since it was so nice outside, and the marina view is definitely a bonus. We were told we'd get a text when our table was ready. When we got the text, the hostess was directing our party and another party to the same table and mistakenly thought we were together. After explaining that we were separate parties, she said she'd seat us in a bit, which was a little odd since we had arrived before the couple she had just seated. A few minutes later, we were seated outside, but directly in the sun. We asked if we could move to the shaded area where there were three empty tables, in the same section where the other couple had been seated. She said she'd have to double check and directed us back to the waiting area in the front. At this point, there were several hosts but not much direction, and things felt a little chaotic. Unfortunately, the manager told us those tables couldn't be opened, so essentially the couple who came in after us ended up getting the benefit of the table we had originally been waiting for. We ended up moving inside, which was disappointing since we specifically wanted to enjoy the marina view and quieter patio atmosphere, but at that point we were just happy to finally be seated. By then, the restaurant was filling up quickly. Then came Rigo. From the moment he greeted us, he was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and genuinely hospitable. His smile and charisma never faded, even as the restaurant got busier. He completely changed the tone of our experience and honestly saved the day. We ordered the chicken tortilla soup, mushroom pizza, brussels sprouts, and mozzarella sticks. Everything except the soup was 50% off for happy hour. We'd heard rave reviews about the soup, so we had to try it. Chicken tortilla soup: Presentation was great, but it had a slightly chalky/clumpy texture and a little bit of a sour taste that I wasn't expecting. Mushroom pizza: Definitely lacking mushrooms considering that's the main topping. Some slices didn't have any mushrooms at all. It's also not your traditional crust-sauce-cheese-toppings pizza. The cheese and toppings are sprinkled over the crust with the sauce drizzled on top. It was ok, but I probably wouldn't order it again. Brussels sprouts: Easily my favorite! 10/10. The sauce was delicious, and the sprouts were cooked and seasoned perfectly. Mozzarella sticks: These are hard to rate because we took them to go, and they ended up smashed together and pretty soft. It was a generous serving, but I definitely wouldn't order these to-go again. I'm guessing they're much better fresh in the restaurant (forgot to take a pic). Honestly, Rigo deserves the biggest shoutout. He turned a possible 3-4 star review into 5 stars. He is probably one of the best servers I've had in Reno. His attitude, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality completely turned around what started as a frustrating experience. More people in the industry could learn from someone like him. Updated review: This review is strictly for good service and staff. Though the place still has many kinks to iron out, food is as expected from a place like yardhouse. Considering they get many upset customers their staff are able to maintain smiling faces and energy. The place is always bustling and hustling when I visit the place. Very energetic and clean presentation. All is good except corporate limitations of how far they are able to go to make customers happy but they do their best and do show they care. They should honor happy hour pricing if you're waiting more than 30 minutes before 6pm. We got seated at 605pm and had to ask the manager a favor. We came here after hearing about Yardhouse coming to the area for a long time. I have been to the location in Las Vegas. On a Friday night, we were on the waitlist for about an hour before we got a table. Once inside, the music is very very loud. I think they should turn it down slightly so I can hear the person I'm sitting next to. The interior was modern with lots of TVs if you want to watch a sports game. It gives bar vibes at the bar in the middle, but the booths can give the same vibe with the loud music. There were a lot of tables and booths. Our server was Izzy and she was amazing. Very attentive! She was very smiley and looked like she enjoyed her job. We ordered these drinks; - Grey Goose Strawberry Mule: This did not taste like alcohol at all. It was delicious and definitely my go-to drink - Pink Dragon: This was a margarita with dragon fruit. All I tasted was the alcohol. There was no flavor from the dragon fruit. - My boyfriend got a few beers that I did not try, but he said they tasted like beer. We ordered the following food: - Parm Truffle Fries: The fries were delicious with a crispy outside and soft inside. Seasoned perfectly! - 10 Crispy Traditional Wings: We got Buffalo and Korean Chili Garlic. These were really good, but not as crispy as I expected. I preferred the Korean chile garlic - Birria Tacos: the shells were harder and chewier than I would have liked. The meat inside was seasoned well and flavorful. The beans and rice were my favorite part of the dish. The rice was not dry at all. I don't usually like rice or beans because they don't mix well together or overcooked, but it was cooked perfectly hear. - Bone-in Ribeye: My boyfriend ordered this and the meat was juicier and melts in your mouth. I might prefer his steak more because of the shells from the tacos. Overall, it was a good experience. I just wish the tacos shells were soft and not chewy. I love that we have a fun, new place to dine at within the legends area. Yard House is a great place to watch sports and also just grab a bite with friends. They have a nice outdoor area that overlooks the marina (bonus points for a view!). Moving on to the food: came for happy hour and ordered off the HH menu. It was alright. Nothing amazing. Tried the calamari, Brussels sprouts, sliders and wings. Everything was slightly over cooked except for the brussel sprouts. The lemon pepper on the wings didn't have much flavor either. We were so excited to try the new Yard House and it exceeded our expectations! What a great new spot for Legends. We arrived on a Thursday at 4:45 and requested a table for 4 outside. The wait was about 15 min and it was already pretty busy! With outdoor seating, you get the option of uncovered or covered seating - the covered seating has the screens and garage door, which is what we opted for. The area is quieter than inside but still provides a great atmosphere with some TVs showing the game and a nice view of the Marina. We were lucky to be in the Happy Hour window before 6pm which meant half off appetizers and discounted drinks. We got the Chicken Nachos and the Poke Nachos- both were excellent. Everyone at the table was happy with their entree and the food came out very timely: we had two orders of Fish & Chips, one Grilled Chicken and Avocado Sandwich, and one House Cheesesteak Sandwich. The portions were huge, the flavors were great, and we had no complaints. I'll speak more specifically on my order - the Fish & Chips were outstanding. I had a huge portion of fish that was perfectly crispy and not too hard/crunchy. The fish was great quality. Great tasting sauces came with the meal including a jalapeño tartar sauce and an aioli, with a large portion of fries and coleslaw. I'd definitely order this again! We topped it off with a dessert to share. The S'mores Brownie Meltdown was amazing. I don't generally like chain restaurants but being a beer guy have always had a soft spot for Yard House. It being new we decided to go a bit later in the evening as to avoid the crowds - failed. We were able to get a seat on the patio fairly quickly using the mobile check in. View of the marina from the patio was nice as well as decent TVs, didn't hurt the weather was mild. Yard house has always been a happy hour spot, tonight the bar was full, so we opted for actual dinner. I got the Nashville chicken sandwich and fries - it was ok. Not really Nashville enough for me - I like the spice and sauce dripping. Cook was good though and flavor decent. My wife got the the taco trio, all were good, the fish and steak were surprisingly spicy, birria was ok - consume was lacking a little flavor. Overall good food for a big chain and new restaurant. Service was great. Serve orange with Blue Moon! The owner of Blue Moon served oranges with it to highlight its flavors. I don't understand why Yard House refuses to. We had to ask a couple times to get one, that's how Renee likes it. Beer selection good, though fairly limited on local and regional craft beers. Overall good experience and we'll return. We had a somewhat great experience checking out the new Yard House location that just opened in Sparks! It's awesome to finally have one here. Just know going in that Yard House definitely has a louder atmosphere with tons of TVs going, so it's more of a fun, busy vibe. We started with drinks. My husband ordered the Smoked Old Fashioned, and the first one came out great with the whole smoke effect. His second one came out without the lid or smoke, which also meant it didn't have that smoky flavor. He was pretty bummed about that. I ordered the Picante Margarita, which was supposed to be spicy with a Tajín rim. Unfortunately, mine came out without the Tajín and wasn't spicy at all. I'm guessing they forgot the cayenne syrup too. I didn't end up ordering another one because of that. For appetizers, we tried quite a few . The chicken nachos, firecracker shrimp, chicken lettuce wraps, and artichoke dip. Overall, they were really good! My husband especially loved the firecracker shrimp. I really liked the chicken nachos. They had both a green and red sauce on them that made them soooo good. The chicken lettuce wraps were just okay for us, and we probably wouldn't order those again. For dinner, we tried the cilantro lime chicken and filet mignon. My husband really liked the cilantro lime chicken, and I thought it was delicious too. Tons of flavor! Unfortunately, my daughter's filet mignon was extremely overcooked (the waitress didn't ask how she wanted it cooked). Our waitress never really came back to ask how our food was, and my daughter was starving, so she just ate it. For the price of a filet, though, you definitely want it cooked correctly. Service started out great. Our first waiter was amazing! She had a great personality, was friendly, and seemed genuinely happy to wait on us. They switched waitresses halfway through our meal because another waitress had just come on. After that, our table kind of got forgotten. We ended up having to ask a couple of different bussers and servers for water, drink refills, boxes, and the tab. Overall, we absolutely love Yard House and are SO stoked to finally have one in Sparks! There are definitely some things they need to work out, but being a brand new location, hopefully those little issues get better with time. I was actually surprised that the manager wasn't walking around following up with tables especially since they just opened. This may have helped with our table mishaps. One last thing...PARKING. My husband took me to Yard House for my birthday because I had been wanting to try it. Unfortunately, the truffle fries were cold and soggy. The rest of the food was better, but the dragon fruit cosmo was bitter and missing its dried fruit garnish. Our waitress checked on us throughout the meal, but after my husband requested a birthday dessert, she disappeared for a long time. When she returned, she explained that they were out of ice cream. The plate was covered with scattered whipped cream and looked messy. Employees also brought a candle dessert to another birthday guest nearby and sang to her, which made my birthday experience feel overlooked. It was a 45 minute wait at 3:30 on a Friday, but overall worth it. We were seated outside in the sun, but requested to move inside with some shade as we had a baby and they accommodated. We really appreciated that. We ordered the bier brat sliders, chicken, lettuce, wraps, classic sliders, and the spicy hummus. I still think bang for your buck the classic sliders are the way to go and were probably the most flavorful of all the appetizers we tried. They are currently doing a Stein Special for Oktoberfest, which I took part in. You can look up the details but if you frequent the restaurant often the five dollar refill for a 34 ounce Stein is worth it. They also have beer flights if you prefer just a sample. 9/15/2026 Reno is a bit of a drive for us, but we happened to have a 10:40am appointment, so after we were finished, we decided on trying out Yard House. It was 1pm by the time we arrived. Parking is a bit tricky, so we had to walk a good distance since it is a huge shopping type center. We were greeted and sat in a few minutes. Now the atmosphere is perfect for myself and my Husband. Music was at a good level and it was good music. Our waitress was Makena G. She was the sweetest with such a bubbly personality. Absolutely adored her!! We decided on sharing a couple appetizers for our lunch. Very happy with both the choices. We ordered the Spicy Zatar Hummus which had so much flavor. All the little additions were perfect. But that sauce is spicy, in a good way. We also ordered the Ahi sashimi. OMG I needed a spoon to finish the sauce left on the plate (it was that good) Water glasses stayed full and they were quite busy. Food came out in a great time frame. We were quoted a 20-30 minute wait for seating. We were seated within 10 minutes, which was great! The place was hoppin. Service was phenomenal. We were seated at the bar and were entertained by a roving group of bartenders. Ashton, Corwin and Jeff were super fun and attentive. IE., Q: how is the blahblah beer thing? Yard House is new to town so of course we had to try it. It is located in the Legends Mall just past Scheels on the lake side. Upon arrival we were greeted by the hostess and after providing our name, preferred dining area and cellular number it was a short wait before being seated. The service overall and consistently was very good. When you enter there is a large bar area in the center, the ambiance is industrial, very clean and seating is spread out with booths, low tables as well has patio and open outside seating. They claim to have the largest selection of draft beer, well the first four (4) pages of the menu is all beers. We were able to quickly place our drink order, which arrived quickly and shortly after the appetizers, Poke Nachos also arrived. The Poke Nachos were absolutely delicious, very fresh tuna and other topping, the wife isn't a fish person but really enjoyed them. Our food order came within 15 minutes, I ordered the two (2) taco combo (Carnitas and Carne Asada), again absolutely delicious, tender/juicy pork and the steak was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. I did get a sample of the BBQ Bacon Cheese burger, thick, juicy, perfectly cooked and again full of flavor. The Onion Rings were also very good, light batter with great flavor. The only thing not amazing was the French Fries, they were ok, tender inside but not crispy on the exterior. I'm guessing they just drop once in the fryer rather than twice to crisp up the exterior so they needed a minute or two longer. Everyone was very happy with the meals, so great first experience. As it was during the October Fest they have specials, we ordered the Apple Strudel with ice cream. A manager noticed they put vanilla ice cream and not the Butter Pecan Ice Cream and brought a bowl of it out before we even got a first bite. They were definitely on their game for our visit. I had to think careful on this one, realizing that my specific experience may not be fair as a review for the entire restaurant. My experience can only be through comparison, apples to apples, from this restaurant to my local favorite non-chain restaurant. The pros: huge lineup of beers on top, ample seating, great patio with the marina of view. If you're looking for a vibe, this place offers it abundance. My top pro: they have my favorite American IPA, Deschutes Fresh Squeezed The cons: (apples to apples) *Pizza, the crust lacked flavor and was just a means to hold a splash of ordinary sauce and a few toppings and a few shreds of cheese. Price was $1.00 more (than GBB) *Pretzel was large, but did not have that classic soft pretzel taste, and the beer cheese sauce lacked flavor. We sat on the patio which was open to the outdoors with a nice view of the Sparks Marina and much quieter than inside. It has huge garage style doors that can be lowered if the weather turns. We ordered several apps to share and I ordered a mocktail as the designated driver. The guacamole was fresh and delicious. The queso had the perfect amount of spice and was served with tortillas in addition to chips. The cheese curds were supposed to have an aioli with horseradish, but the sauce looked and tasted like ranch. It was delicious but not what I expected. I don't normally go to opening day for anything just because they are usually still working out some kinks but i found myself at the outlets and it was lunch time. For the most part things went very smoothly. Of course this location is brand new so everything is bright and shiny. The central bar seating worked well for me as i was going solo but there was a lot of table seating everywhere. The vibe is upbeat sports bar. I was glad i did not see slot machines in the countertop at the bar. TV screens abounded in about every direction. It is an industrial style decor which while giving an open feel, it tends to amplify the noise. But you don't go to a sports bar to read a book. I ordered the 2 taco combo with shrimp and baja fish. It was good but there is room for improvement: - I was surprised at how small the tacos are. Think tapas or street taco size. - It was served with rice and beans which had good flavor but there was more rice than beans. Would have liked more beans so i wasn't eating just rice at the end - Fish taco had flavor but was VERY thin. In looking at a cross section of the fish it was about 1/3 breading on top, 1/3 fish, 1/3 breading on bottom. So twice as much breading than fish. I could not taste the fish from all the condiments piled on top. The food was served warm, not hot, which is a pet peeve of mine but i chalked that up to opening day. Also they need to titrate their carbonation on their soda dispenser because my coke tasted watered down. Overall i enjoyed my lunch and i appreciate that they have a much broader menu than a lot of area sports bars. You can step up for steaks, seafood, or more complete dinners in addition to an extensive number of appetizers and salads. I have been to other yardhouses and this one is consistent with other locations. Net net, i will likely make this a regular stop for lunch. read more

This restaurant is new to the Reno area and it happened to be a holiday so it was very busy on our visit. No big deal, we put out name on the waitlist and killed some time at the Legends shopping center. I've been to Yard House restaurants in other cities so I knew what to expect--100 or so taps and fast-casual food. There are TVs on a lot of walls inside with music videos paired to the restaurant's soundtrack on a few of them. 80's and 90's were on the playlist. Being as busy as it was, our service was actually very prompt and exceptionally cheerful. The beer selection was paired down compared to other locations but I think that was due to the site's newness and some of the more rare varieties were still out for delivery. I ordered a truffle cheeseburger and truffle-parm fries. The burger had a rich truffle accent; the fries not so much. Overall, it was our server that raised the rating to 4 stars. I will come back when the business wears off a little to check on the beer selection. read more

Sitting in the Yard House! Loud my wife says nice thing they have 7 Televisions and only One is playing the San Francisco Forty Niner game! The others Oakland Raiders game, Seattle Seahawks game just switched to three televisions playing Raiders. One showing Washington Commonders wait is about 50 minutes. I had a chicken avocado sandwich and it was very good. My husband got the ahi nachos and those were also good. His came out rather quickly, mine was lost in the shuffle somewhere. I didnt get my sandwich till well after he was done with his nachos. About 20 minutes after. The manager did come over and talk with us and they ended up taking it off the bill. They have only been open for a week and they have been super busy since opening so I expected things to be off a bit. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was nice and cool inside. I didn't really look around too much, but the seats were comfy, we sat at the bar. Like I mentioned earlier it was very busy and packed. It was an hour an 10 minute wait for a table or first come seating at the bar. There happened to be 2 seats together just for us at the bar, , so we were able to sit down right away. read more

The location itself was beautiful and the drinks we great but unfortunately that was the highlight of our experience. The food was mediocre at best and definitely overpriced for the quality we received. However, the biggest disappointment was the service. Our waitress was practically nonexistent throughout our meal. We had to flag her down for sauces we had already requested with our order, and she never came back to refill our drinks. My drink sat completely empty for the majority of our meal until another waitress noticed and kindly refilled it. What made it even more frustrating was that the restaurant was fairly empty, so there really didn't seem to be a reason for such inattentive service. Other servers actually noticed our disappointment and checked on us more than our own waitress did. For the price, I expected much better food and significantly better service. If I were choosing between similar restaurants, I would 100% pick BJ's or Chili's over Yard House based on this experience. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. read more

This review is specifically for online ordering and pickup. I understand that it's a new restaurant and that there will be growing pains and kinks as they find their way. We ordered takeout yesterday. I asked that my husband go through our order and make sure it was all there before he left. Thankfully, he listened because I had placed an order for the chicken lettuce wraps, but they hadn't included the chicken. Pretty important to include the protein. Mind you, I tip over 20% when I order takeout, but I'm seriously wondering if I should even bother at this point. It's "to insure proper service" , but at most places that isn't happening and Yardhouse is seemingly going down the same old road as other restaurants. I will give them one more try and maybe dine-in is a better experience. The wrap was alright. The chicken had no seasoning. Maybe it's because they had to grill it on the fly to include it in my order. Who knows? I also ordered the pretzel. It was overcooked and barely had any salt on it. My husband really enjoyed his Maui chicken dish, so that's one upside. I also ordered the spicy edamame and it was good. A little mushy, but edible. Again, I will give them one more try via pickup, but I don't have high hopes. I'm jaded from all the other restaurants that never seem to get orders right. read more

30 minute wait for either inside or outside seating. I actually ordered the sliders and cheese curds. Hubby had fish n chips. The table had onion rings, a truffle cheese burger and orange chicken. Dr, Pepper, Diet Coke, espresso martini and water all around. Food came out fast. Bathroom nice and clean. The music isn't too loud.
