Sunday morning brunch, my first visit. The gang wanted a Sunday morning brunch around 11am, so we met here. Nice big bright space. Bar seating and lots if tables in two areas. Even a large patio, and one section with shade. The brunch menu is limited to 3 food items and 3 drinks. But you can order from the regular food menu and huge beer menu. It was chilly out and it was brunch. But I couldn't get an Irish coffee. As an after thought I should have just ordered coffee with cream and a shot of whiskey. But I did try the Roarie Bummler, a chocolate coffee cocktail. It was good. I went with the cheeseburger. Needed seasoning, but the bun was fresh and soft, and the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. It didn't wow me. I'm glad they didn't have enough Mac and cheese to fill my order (who runs out of Mac and cheese at 11am ?). The fried cheese curds were good. A friend did get the last of the Mac- it was an interesting yellow orange and rather watery. No real cheese flavor to it. Bland. He couldn't finish it. The steak and eggs looked good. It was three slices of tri tip, a little over done for all of us at the table. The two that got the sausages enjoyed them. The hit was the house spicy mustard that came on the side. All the food was nice and hot when it came to the table. Overall it's a great menu to pair with the large beer selection. But just not my pint of beer. It's located at the Legends Outlet, so it's shared mall parking. Park near the lake and it's a short walk. read more

After coming to the amazing Elite event, I decided to come back for lunch with two of my favorite people. We decided on just ordering apps to share, figuring we could order more if we were still hungry. The apps were quite sufficient nutrients for us so no extras. We ordered the IMBIB Pretzel + Beer Cheese, Pierogis, and Pulled Pork Sliders. All were very good the numbers worked out perfectly with 3 sliders and 6 Pierogis. We were unable to finish the enormous pretzel so took it home. I think my favorite is the pulled pork sliders. It is a good balance of the sweet but spicy BBQ sauce with the tender pork on a brioche bun. The extra bit of yumminess was from the house made crunchy boozy pickle. The pierogies were filled with potatoes, onion and cheese all wrapped in a pastry crust. Chive/Dill cream was perfect for dipping. The service was very good and the food was brought out fairly quickly. The general vibe is casual and low key. A beer place with good food - nothing fancy. After attending a Yelp Elite event, I just had to go back. We opted for just appetizers this time around, so I'll just have to go back again for a full meal. But I couldn't resist .. they had pierogi ... I love pierogi. And, theirs were pretty good. We also had thier pretzel and pulled pork sliders. BBQ sauce on the pork sliders, just a little spicy .. a nice bite, not too hot. Pretzels are amazing. So this brewery (the one on Second Street in Reno has no food) decided to venture into eats. They paired up with a great chef and a bartender that makes gourmet signature drinks. There are lots of food options in the area, but don't forget to give this one a try. My wife and I had a pretty good experience here. The food was fantastic. All of it. I ordered the Argentinian sausage and my wife got the sea food sausage. Both portions were just enough and the flavors were outstanding. The service from our waiter was good. He was attentive, friendly and patient (I had a hard time deciding on what to order). My only two "complaints" are how exceptionally long it took for us to receive our tab (it wasn't a busy night) and the bourbon/peach cocktail I ordered was substantially watered down and flavorless. Beer: 5/5 stars Food: 3/5 stars Pickled Egg Appetizer: I love this appetizer and I've ordered it several times. The turmeric eggs don't have a very strong flavor to them but the beet eggs are really lovely and sweet. Both pickle flavors pair really well with the stone ground mustard. The pickle slices are nice but it would be nice to see spears or a veggie variety. Fries: Satisfying fries with fancy flaky salt on top. Maybe too much salt but it was easily remedied with a quick brush off. The fancy dips are what really makes the fries especially worth ordering. The curry ketchup was especially amazing with a strong curry flavor. Absolutely addicting. The gochujang aioli also had a lovely subtle flavor. Beer: Always and forever incredible. I can't count the number of times I've come here when it was just a bar. Their selection is always diverse enough to please everyone in the group. My favorite flavor is their own beer Candy Cigarettes. I must get it any time it's available. Ambiance: A very chill bar atmosphere with friendly people. Truly the customer service here stands out. Great for groups or for couples. Outdoor seating available. One wall of the new restaurant space opens completely for an open air vibe on nice days. Really a great place to hang out. read more

Yay for Vegan options!! I love having choices and they have at least 3. I had the vegan Berliner currywurst and my non-vegan bf had the Portuguese white bean and sausage soup. It was so good that I didn't even get a picture if it before it was consumed. The service was quick, attentive and friendly. Our server today was Al and they were top notch! Al was great with recommendations and checked on us often. It's a pretty new restaurant so the dining area was pristine and modern. The taproom is right next door in case you just want drinks. Can't wait to come back and try another of their delicious vegan dishes. Update- tried the vegan gumbo and I can't recommend this dish. I wasn't expecting it to be a traditional tasting soup but it just tasted like canned spinach mostly. I've been wanting to come here for a while since they've added food and finally made it! What a great addition to this area. It really puts Imbib on the map and makes them stand out as a Reno brewery much more than before when they only had the downtown location which doesn't serve food. The building has so much more space than I realized. We walked over from the movie theater so I initially thought it was just the smaller bar area, then realized there's a whole other dining side in the room over! We hung out at the bar where there is a digital beer menu, QR codes on the table to scan for the food menu, and board games nearby to choose from if you want an activity. They have several events and deals throughout the week. We thought they were playing excellent music over the speakers that really added to the overall vibe. There are two separate outdoor patios, dogs are allowed outside on both. I got the Fill My Belly Blonde and my husband got the Golden Child, both really good! He requested an Oktoberfest now that it is almost fall and they had one! He really liked that one as well. Service was good, we were checked on appropriately and never felt like we were waiting on someone to come by. There is also a self-serve water station in this bar area. We wanted a snack and decided to split the poutine with a side of beer cheese. This dish was delicious! We couldn't believe how much sausage meat came on top and how filling this appetizer was. Don't skip out on the beer cheese, that was an awesome addition. Based on the food and drinks from this quick visit, I can't wait to come back and try more soon! read more

I came here with my mother just to enjoy some drinks with my uncle, I very rarely go out just to drink as I'm not a fan of just drinking, but I decided to come. The interior of the restaurant was surprisingly large with two separate areas connected together by a single door! It's a nice little area, though I'm not a fan of wood and metal chairs as I find them uncomfortable. However they had a very large variety of drinks to choose from and the prices seemed good. I got a nice sour huckleberry and I enjoyed the sour kick and the berry taste, it's the kinds of drinks I enjoy. Me and the family all had a nice time. Yum, yum, YUM!!! My hubby and I came here for a super quick little hang out on a Sunday afternoon. We had tried their beers before but wanted to try the food. Soooo glad we did. This was my first time at Imbib, and 'twas a great experience. Our waitress, Al, was super friendly and really supported the positive vibes throughout our time there. She encouraged us to get as many samplers as we wanted before ordering full size - and it paid off! I found out that I love the Affogato brew, it truly tasted like coffee and milk in an interestingly carbonated, yeasty way. Apparently the fried bolognese sandwich is a kitchen favorite, so I had to try it. And wow, it did not disappoint! I definitely recommend trying it, and there's an option to get 2 sandwiches in the order (and next time I will do that). The side of coleslaw was unfortunately not enjoyable for me, but because it was non-traditional - so instead of creamy sauce it was pickled and vinegary. We were going to a restaurant near IMBIB when we saw the sign and remembered that another Yelper told us about an event he went to at IMBIB. It was a little after lunchtime, and the restaurant was not crowded. The setting was very nice, and there were a few people in the adjacent taproom. Service was very good at the beginning and trailed off as the new shift came on and diners came in. We weren't on the new servers table list and were sort of forgotten by our original server. We ordered the pierogis, the Kim Chee seafood salad, and the cheeseburger "smash" style. The pierogis were good, but you do need to use the accompanying dill cream sauce. On the menu, the Kim chee seafood salad was supposed to have a seafood sausage. We didn't know what that was, so we wanted to give it a try. When the salad came, there were a lot of shrimp and avocado slices, but we didn't see anything that looked like a sausage. We had to ask about it, and were told that a machine in the back was broken, so they had to substitute. It would have been nice to have been informed of that before being served the item, but again, it was a time with a shift transition. The cheeseburger was good. I find "smash" style burgers to be similar to In-N-Out burgers even though they are supposed to be cooked differently. If you like In-N-Out, you will like this burger, albeit, it is much more expensive. I believe the draw to the restaurant is the wide beer selection. As we came in mainly to try the food, we didn't have any of their alcoholic drinks. I think a good beer would enhance the food...like a good pairing. I would come back here to try the beer and have some bar food. I'm not sure if I would come back just for the food. read more

Next time I am here I am going to try your "So Close to Helles" - Smoked Lager with a collaboration with Alibi from Incline, my favorite brewery from Incline. Atmosphere - Small tap room. Nice place to take a break while the family shops. Indoor/outdoor seating. They also have a "garage" door, so weather permitting, they can create an indoor/outdoor space. Plenty of mall parking. Food next door at Cantina Los Tres Hombres. Open 7 days a week from 11am to 10pm. Service - Good. Price - $5 pint + tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2019 at this location! This place has marginal, overpriced beer. The restaurant they previously had next door closed and they have just a small tap room with a staff that just sat zoned out on a smartphone, with no interest in discussion about their beer. It's not made on-site, so there's nothing to see and the best part is the small outdoor patio they have cordoned off. They have some board games, but it was dead there on a Sunday, so I doubt this place will survive much longer. The beer had no particular standout ale and I couldn't get through two beers. I understand the craft beer scene isn't terrific in Reno, but having places like this is what caused the Great Reckoning before the pandemic, which then causes our collective favorite places to go under. The experiment of giving an adult child a few hundred thousand from work IPOs to start a brewery produces this madness and really needs to stop. Mom and Dad are better off putting that cash into something, anything...even high-risk investments. This place was so incredibly lackluster I can't find a single photograph I took. read more

I've been to IMBIB a few times and feel bad that I haven't reviewed it yet as it is a great place to meet friends and have a beer. If you're in the Legends mall, you have to stop by. The staff is pleasant and helpful and they have a very wide variety of choices. To top it off, it's a local business. As a big fan of Imbib I was thrilled to hear of their eats and drinks location conveniently next to the galaxy movie theater. Nothing like a cold brew before (or after) a movie! Imbib has always been at the top of my list in terms of reno craft beer. I am never disappointed with a beer I try. Now adding food to the mix? Awesome! We opted for the sausage sampler which is a great way to have a small amount of a big variety. The two sausages that stood out the most were the lamb and seafood. Those flavors alone are worth a trip back! The sampler isn't cheap, at $22 you'll get a variety but will still be hungry so keep that in mind. Excited to try more at this great location! read more

The pretzel was great with the beer cheese and mustard. Beer is awesome too. Just don't get the gumbo. It's not good. Spinach or greens does not go in gumbo like that. We stopped by here to wait for our seating time at Grimaldi's. I actually had bought a Groupon from a year ago that I had not been able to use and was finally able to try the beer flight! It was not that far of a walk from Grimaldi's, maybe a couple of minutes. I was already a fan of IMBIB's sours and have tried their beers before from previous Yelp events. They sadly did not have the Black Currant Nevada Weisse that I was used to. Instead, I lined my flight with the other sours that were currently on tap. We got the Apricot Pie Crust, Mango Peach NV Weisse, Snow Flower, IMBUBBLY Mango, and the bartender recommended the Playa Dust. The flight was good and I was given a souvenir glass to go too. Visited during the covid pandemic. I needed a beer. A good sour beer and in a flight. IMBIB is my favorite brewery in town without a doubt by far. They always have at least 5 or 6 sours on tap at the Reno location where they brew the beers. But here, they are only a tap room so they might not have the same amounts as the brewery. But they do have lots of great sours here, more than enough to satisfy me and have me wanting to come back for more. My favorite beer this last time was the classic Cucumber Key Lime Nevada Weisse. All the right flavors just balanced together perfectly. I honestly could drink this beer every day all year long. I challenge anyone to find me a better all around perfect beer. If you do, I will buy you a flight!! The space isn't huge but they do have some overflow space into the mall I think. But of course the pandemic makes things uncertain in so many ways. All I know is that they are doing the same awesome stuff here that they are winning with at Reno location. Just come prepared to walk a little farther than usual. I was very appointed, and let me tell you why: The beer - SO many options, even for (you already know by now) my sour-loving fiancé. She especially loved the Alpenglow sour. I loved the Tridentata Pale, the Clear Creek Pale, and the Golden Child. Beer flights are a great and affordable way to sample everything IMBĪB Custom Brews has to offer. They also look great for photo opportunities! The atmosphere - It is simple, but a very charming and pleasant place to...well...imbibe!
