My family and I accidentally chose the busiest afternoon to hit happy hour last night, it was the first night of football season!!! Anyways we only waited 20 minutes to get a table which was absolutely fine, the waiter greeted us promptly, took our orders, got us drinks, the ambience and number of TV monitors inside is impressive. No issues with service or timing, those were all good!!! The only reason for my 4 star review is the happy hour food we ordered was sadly under par. The prices were really good, half off the actual price but the quality of the food was dismal . The poke nachos had about 6 to 8 tiny cuts of tuna spread out on about 20 wonton chips smothered in sweet sauce, it was comical, the cheese curds were fried, tasteless and boring and the boneless wings were just "OK". We decided to order the carnivore pizza just to mix things up.. this was probably the best thing we ordered. It was pretty salty from all the sausage and pepperoni but we drank plenty of water in the process. Again, the service, hostess, ambiance..-no complaints there!! The happy hour items we orders were the quality you'd expect at a dive bar!! And I go to the Sire and Laws quite often, their items have more flavor and quality than Yardhouse. I've been coming to this Yard House location since they opened. This was my first time in after the pandemic and I really enjoyed it. The value for their house IPA is really good. Their House "IPA" is actually brewed by Stone in San Diego and is super solid. You can get a 1/2 yard for around $15 The spicy tuna tower was light and refreshing. Service was very good. Although I don't know why a manager didn't come to my table after the input I gave to the server. Walked in on this Saturday morning at 11:30am and the place was empty! Perfect timing for us! Our waitress offered us water and brought extra plates before taking our order! Kudos! Vampire style is basically just a cheese blanket added to the tortilla but it is a game changer. It tastes bomb and something different from your average taco. Honestly I come here all the time, and today was my birthday. It was going pretty well, and there was a discrepancy with our food. Even though we had an issue the manager came out, and I have never experienced such poise and responsibility from an individual in such a busy environment. He created an understanding and mature sub environment and was such a pleasure. He insisted on being kind, and rather than just "comping to shut us up", he wanted to make us feel welcomed and know that we aren't just customers but established guests. Great service and friendly! I am huge on customer service. My husband and I went to watch football and we got lucky to find 2 seats at the bar. We were greeted immediately and everyone around seemed to be in a good mood. We ordered espresso martinis ( with Baileys) and it was made with perfection! Our intitial bartender was a young lady and then on our second round a young Asian guy ( trainer) came and made the second ones ( with Baileys) and it tasted the exact same. It was perfect yet again. It tasted the same! This is a great reflection on team work. I also ordered a lemon drop martini and that was also made to perfection. We ordered poke nachos and some wings. Poke was fresh. Wings were made to order. Thank you for not using a heat lamp. They have a variety of different food and beer options.. it might take you a while to decide what to get lol! Service is always on point. I've only had one bad server in the past, and they got rid of him. He was a weirdo. There were two times that food came out slow, but management took care of that and gave us a free dessert. We just brushed it off to the side. Service was very slow. They forgot to ring in our appetizers and after being rung in food took a while to come out. I have to say that once you walk through those doors, you are greeted by teenagers who are standing around. You have two people who were playing pass the menus back and forth as if they didn't want to seat us. When we finally got seated, we were never greeted by anyone except the person who sat us down to say that we had to move to a different table. Why even seat us when it's not the right table. I don't mind waiting a little longer to get it together to seat us once, not play musical chairs. Once we sat down, we waited for 10-15 mins with not knowing who our server was.
