What an incredible find! I happened to come across Oasis Café while driving to my parents' house in Riverside, and I'm so glad we decided to stop. Even though they're still listed as vegetarian in some places, they told us they've actually gone fully vegan, which was such a pleasant surprise. As a family with vegans in my family, it's always exciting to find a restaurant where they have so many delicious options to choose from. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and made with care, and it was clear that a lot of thought went into the menu. Brenda was very welcoming and happy to answer our questions. This is definitely a hidden gem! It's right near La Sierra University, off campus. It's part of the La Sierra Natural foods store and right outside. Theres a prominent sign right in front and a counter to order. Theres different types of menus for what they have. Plenty of things to eat, like burgers (veggie), bowls, burritos, and tacos. For drinks, there's coffee, teas, lattes. Everything is organic! There is plenty of seating outside and inside and a good amount of people were there. The cashier there was so nice and friendly! She guided me through what they have and what she recommended. I ordered the burger combo with the oasis patty, citrus slaw, with avocado ginger sauce and sweet potato fries. For my drink, I got a half strawberry lemonade. My friend ordered the taco bowl with jackfruit, no cheese, and a ginger spritz. Our cashier said there was seating available inside and she would bring in our food. We didn't have to wait too long. I am generally hesitant about vegan/vegetarian food but my burger tastes great and was filling. The drink was sweet and the fries were so good. Taquitos are my go to. Always reliable. Bowls are huge. Good food. Not a big fan of how they automatically put a tip for pick up orders. It's shady and makes me think less of them as it's money grabbing. You have to write out $0. If I'm picking up an order, a tip should not be expected. read more

Boyfriend and I were here in Riverside for a work Christmas dinner. We were staying down the street from this cafe. I like to eat vegetarian food, my boyfriend does not really eat it but will try for me. It's a cute little set up next to a healthy grocery store. They were very helpful with the recommendations. I got the jack fruit tacos, the champurrado ( with oat milk and vegan chocolate) it was really different from the original since that's how I drink it. Very good though, definitely recommend. Ordered late one night to try all their taco options. The offerings are pretty good! I was looking for plant-based tacos for catering a party and was recommended Oasis. I did like their food and the champurrado. Unfortunately my attempts to call their number to ask about catering never got through. Oasis is a great location to try even if you are not vegetarian or vegan. Located next to La Sierra Natural Foods, it is a little counter where you can order a variety of handmade vegan items. The menu lists no prices, so while ordering, I did not have the faintest idea what my total would be. I ordered a combo, which according to the sign comes with a Dish + Side + Drink. I got the Tofu Sandwich (blackened tofu), sweet potato fries, and a horchata. The cashier advised me that the horchata would be a $2.25 upcharge to the combo. I accepted, but was confused as to why it would be listed under "Drinks" on the menu, but require an upcharge. There were no indications on the posted menu sign which drinks would be free with the combo meal. The tofu sandwich was good, but next time I would like to try the turmeric marinated tofu. The cayenne/paprika seasoning had a nice kick, but usually I find that marinated tofu has more flavor. The sweet potato fries were delicious, I only wish they came with a few more! Great service! I can't believe I've lived in the area for almost 10 years and never knew about this hidden gem!! I finally found a hearty jackfruit burrito that is so flavorful you won't believe it's not real meat! Love that they offer inside and indoor seating. The menu offers an array of options. I opted for the carnitas taquitos that come in a 4 piece plate with cream dressing, avocado dressing and lettuce. Two are filled with potatoes and two come with carnitas. The taquitos are filled with so much flavor i absolutely loved them. Ordering was easy you go to the window on the outside and pick up after they call your name at the window. Located by La Sierra university off of pierce street. The seating and area is super calm so a great place to sit and enjoy your meal. The riverwalk isn't too far so you could also opt for a short walk after with a nice little view. It's a little out of the way for me so I've never been despite some prior curiosity, but my sports therapist is down the street so I'm swinging by Oasis every Taco Tuesday now. Could not be happier. The food here is so wholesome. I definitely don't eat enough greens in general so I love that most dishes are packed with fresh veggies. Oasis is serious about serving these feel-good meals, with some fried dishes even having an option to be air fried instead of deep fried. The carnitas are made of seitan and they are fabulous. They crunch on the outside (as if they were fried, but I'm not sure because they're not oily at all!) and are soft and tender on the inside. There are other options I'm sure are equally delicious like jackfruit or potatoes subbing in for meat, but I prefer the carnitas for getting protein in. The sides are great as well. I've tried the potato wedges and plantains so far and loved them both. They are perfectly crispy and somehow hardly oily at all. You order at the counter and clean up after yourself. The girls who work here are super sweet and bubbly so don't be shy if you have any questions. I believe indoor dining closes at 6:30PM, but I'd happily sit outside in the cold if it means eating here. Stay away from this place. Over priced and dry sandwich. I asked for extra dressing at the beginning of the order. I' I never got it and when I asked for it, they told me it would be extra. Stay away go somewhere else. I specifically told the girl at the beginning of the order put dressing on both sides of the bread. Lots of love for Oasis. Really amazing and healthy food here: I'm a fan of the taco bowl, especially. That said, I've enjoyed everything here, and I've tried a bunch of things. I don't have a picture of it because I came by quite late on my last visit, but the tofu sandwich was incredible. Service is good, the workers here are really nice and will answer any questions you might have. Oasis is located adjacent to a grocery store, and you can sit inside if you like, as long as it's before the grocery store closes (around 6:00pm). Just something to keep in mind, since Oasis itself is open a little past that. One thing that would be nice is if prices were posted on the big menu at the front! Nothing's that expensive, but I admit I had no idea how much stuff costed the first time I went. read more

I have ordered from this establishment multiple times for my work. When we have site wide events, I order from here as we have many vegans and vegetarians. I've received nothing but good feedback so I was curious as to where it was located and how big the place was. I was surprised. It is a small place that only has an order and pick up window (much like getting food from Costco). There are four round tables to sit outside. There are cute lights hanging above the tables so I could see eating outside during a summer evening. I wanted to try multiple things so I ordered a bowl and a burrito. Burrito was fantastic! For someone who does eat a lot of vegetables or healthy foods, I really enjoyed it. I ordered it with the oasis patty as the protein, herb roasted veggies and red pepper sauce. I was pleasantly impressed with the size of the burrito. The oasis patty was good. I have no idea what it was but I enjoyed it. The roasted vegetables and sauce complemented it well. The red pepper sauce has great flavor. Kind of had the texture of a hummus or bean dip. Overall, it was quite filling. I can say that the burrito held up well. I wasn't able to eat the entire thing so it saved half for leftovers the following day. Even with heating it up, the burrito stayed together well and wasn't mushy. I also wanted to try another option so I selected the bowl with carnitas and garlic herb mushrooms with vegan cream sauce. The carnitas were not very good. I found them to be a little chewy and not as flavorful as I wanted. I don't know what to compare it to. I think the liquid from the black beans wasn't fully strained caused the brown rice to get soggy and a bit mushy after sitting for 20 minutes. I enjoyed the mushrooms as those are my favorite vegetable. The vegan cream was described as similar to sour cream but I didn't get that. I thought it was similar to a tangy mayonnaise. I like mayo but this I didn't like. Addie was super helpful and friendly. I told her that it was first time coming and she talked me through what the options were. I explained that I had a dietary restriction and she spoke with the lead to ensure I didn't order something that would get me sick. I was impressed with her customer service. I think for being a specialty food store the prices are reasonable. The quality of the food is excellent. I appreciate that everything is cooked fresh. I was disappointed by the bowl but loved the burrito. Like that you can mix and match to customize what you want. l am excited to try other combinations. I drove from Highland to visit this place and IMHO it was not worth the 45 minute drive. I love health food stores so I really enjoyed the fact that they are attached to La Sierra Health Foods. I ordered a jack stack aka jack fruit nachos, they were really bland. The jack fruit had no seasoning, the plate made for a nice picture but that's it. The wait was quite excessive especially considering the fact that we were the only ones there. Thankfully I was able to pass the time in the health food store. Call ahead orders are accepted and apparently an absolute necessity. I'd certainly have to be in the area to patronize this place again. Best vegan/plant based local food. I am not vegan but love vegan food and needed to find a place I can take my vegan friends too that is local. Most places are in the OC so glad this place is in the IE. I've been following them on social media and see that they make everything from scratch and wow you can taste the difference between their handmade patties and the ones in regular restaurants that get by with frozen ones. The buns were also fresh and completely made the veggie burgers one of the best I have had. It came with baked fries. Also, tried the taco bowl with in house made carnitas which was pretty good.
