Islands Restaurant - solid food, chill beach vibes Came in with my wife for Saturday lunch and waited about 15 minutes, which is reasonable for the weekend. The beachy vibe, music, and laid-back atmosphere are what Islands does best, and it makes for an easy, comfortable dining experience. We shared the tortilla soup, fried shrimp tacos, and cheddar fries, and honestly, everything was flavorful and satisfying. The tortilla soup had good depth, the shrimp tacos were crispy and enjoyable, and the cheddar fries were pretty darn good. Crispy, cheesy and hit the spot. Overall, it's a bar restaurant with good food and a fun atmosphere. Nothing life-changing, but consistent, enjoyable, and exactly what you expect. Solid 4-star spot, and we'd come back. read more

Food was nasty and service was terrible. I took my mom the day after Mother's Day. That is where she requested to go. I'm certain she will not ask to go here again. They also took her go to club sandwich off the menu. She ate 1/4 of her burger she had to order instead. She had a watered down coke and was never offered a refill. I had to ask for one upon receiving the check. If you are looking for a cheap place it was $55 for the two of us to eat so I suppose that was the best part. She did leave her gift I gave her in the bar area when we were waiting 15 mins to be seated at a both and a worker returned it to her completely oblivious she had lost it so I greatly appreciate that. read more

Anniversary dinner with one of play kids. He wanted to take us to dinner so Islands it was. I haven't been here in years so it was a treat. We all had burgers which were really good and chips with guacamole for an appetizer. Our waiter was attentive and friendly and the atmosphere gives you the island feel. Islands was overall good. We had an unfortunate snafu with my order, it didn't come out at first, and when it finally did, it wasn't correct. My replacement took another 20+ minutes, so by the time I actually ate, I'd already picked at the chips and some of my daughter's fries, and the rest of the table was basically done. They did remove the item from my ticket, which I genuinely appreciated. Once my warm chicken wrap which is no longer on the menu so I appreciate them making came out it was good! (Ask for hot chicken you won't regret it) Service was fine, just nothing memorable. The chips are usually warm, but this time they came out cold, which was disappointing. BEST FRIES EVER! I love the freshly cut fries at Islands, it's been a bit since I've visited this location as I've been busy. I'm SO glad to be back, there's a uniqueness to Island's burgers and fries. I paired my French fries with a Hula Burger (Mushrooms, Lettuce, Medium Well), it was a great dinner! The wheat buns could've been slightly better, I think they should've been toasted. The restaurant wasn't too packed and the Hawaiian decor was spot on! I love the tiki vibes and tropical aesthetic. The restroom was a little hard to find, but i eventually found it by the kitchen. Drop by soon, this location has special deals for $10.99 burgers! I'm definitely going to cash in on this special. We came here for dinner on a Saturday night and had such a good time. The vibe was great -- loud, lively, upbeat music, and the game was on. It's definitely a fun spot with a lot of energy! We were seated right away, and our server Jessie came by a few minutes later. He was awesome -- super friendly, patient, and really helpful when we had questions. I appreciated that he gave honest recommendations when I couldn't decide what to get. My husband and I both ordered the Hawaiian burger on wheat and added bacon. He got fries and I went with onion rings. I had a Diet Coke and he got a fruit punch -- and I have to say, their fountain drinks are so good! Up in Riverside on Sunday so I decided to stop here. The outside of the restaurant really looks cool and stands out. Brings back memories of when they first opened these restaurants. We love Islands, it's always fresh and hot burgers and the staff is always great. The restaurant is very clean and inviting.

Excellent customer service. Because it sux when the food is amazing but the staff is acting like they don't want you there or replenish your water and I hate having to wait forever for a drink refill, like I get they really wish they could check our credit before sending my order to the bar. Currently eating here now but my gf and I came it not knowing they closed at 9 and walked in at 8:57 and simply asked if they were still open. The server Chuck with a smile on his face said "of course" and continued to seat us. They have patiently taken our order and served us as we realized we came in right at closing. Every single employee including our server Slater couldn't be nicer. We apologized for our timing but they were so kind and didn't rush us at all. I had to give them a great review. On the recommendation of our amazing waiter, Eric (seriously 10/10 service), we ordered the Beach Bowl and sliders, and both were absolute hits. The Beach Bowl was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, and the sliders were juicy, satisfying, and ideal for sharing (or not ). Eric made the whole experience. He was super friendly, attentive without hovering, and spot-on with his suggestions. You can tell when someone genuinely cares about your experience, and he absolutely did.
