Came in during happy hour & it was the best experience! We had a pizza, 4 beers, an appetizer & desert for $65! The service from Marco there was one of the best service experiences we have had. Had a great experience at California Pizza Kitchen! The Chipotle Jalapeño Chicken Pizza was absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with a Caesar salad. For an appetizer, we tried the Dynamite Chicken Shrimp, which was flavorful and a great way to start the meal. The drinks were also excellent. We had a cucumber and pineapple refresher along with sparkling water--both were incredibly refreshing! The ambiance was relaxed and comfortable. Our server, Jesse, made the experience even better. He was very polite, knowledgeable, respectful, and attentive throughout our visit. Great food, refreshing drinks, and excellent service. We'll definitely be back! read more

5 stars for service 3 stars for food The food came out below expectation, especially since I have eaten at other locations for the last 40 years. I complained to the manager, and he made it right. I am very impressed by the service, so I will keep coming back. Those cooks in the back need to pay attention. Frankly I never really like the decor of this chain so I'm not really concerned about it. Overall I recommend this place. read more

Was on my way to another restaurant when I read the (CPK) sign. This is a favorite of mine from Hawai'i and Las Vegas. There was no wait for bar seating. One thing I noticed it that it could use a deep cleaning, something about this location felt old and a little dingy. The plus side- fast and friendly service. I believe the manager was the one delivering the orders. Everything we ordered was fresh, hot, and the taste was good. We were in and out in less than an hour and they were kind of busy for middle of a weekday. I would definitely come back- although I wish there was a location in Redlands area. read more

We usually find ourselves back at California Pizza Kitchen - Riverside Plaza because it's one of our reliable family lunch spots. The Lunch Duo is hard to beat, and it keeps everyone happy -- especially the kids, who always go straight for the Fusilli Alfredo and the Mushroom Pepperoni Sausage Pizza. This visit, we switched things up a bit. My wife and I both ordered the Bolognese Spaghetti paired with the Tomato Basil Bisque, which made for a really comforting lunch combo. The bisque was warm, creamy, and exactly what you want alongside pasta. We also tried the new BBLT Sandwich -- basically a BLT upgraded with burrata. My wife was all about it, and I'm pretty sure it'll become her go-to whenever she's in a sandwich mood. The burrata adds a rich, creamy twist that makes it feel more elevated than a traditional BLT. Service was the only hiccup of the visit. We came during lunch and noticed quite a few open tables, but still waited over 15 minutes to be seated, which was a little surprising. Parking at the plaza was also tougher than usual that day. Overall, still a solid family-friendly lunch spot with dependable food and enough variety to keep us coming back. read more

Happy hour that you actually want to eat. Monday-Friday 3pm-6pm. I sat at the bar and ordered an angry orchid and personal pizza for $9. The pizza was fresh and hot out the oven and the ranch was cold with a nice hint of dill. The cup came frosty so naturally my drink was skating! Love that. White corn guacamole with blue and white corn chips was FRESH. I really enjoyed the finely sliced jalapeño on top. Not too spicy but added flavor. I'm from Riverside and it makes me smile to know I can get food like this in my city at a fair price. Marissa was my waiter and she was vibrant and positive and recommended the chips and guac. Service was good in the beginning. Then it sorta went down hill from there. Food was decent, they offer smaller amounts of bread here than where I'm from. It took an amazingly long time to receive our drinks, our waitress was nice but she did not check on us at all. We actually had to go up to the bar to ask for refills for our drinks. Food was good, not the best, did take longer for such a slow time but overall an ok experience. I love the lunch special, there was lots to choose from and I enjoyed the mushroom pepperoni sausage pizza with the Italian chopped salad. First Impression: happy hour? yes, please! hmm.. why have I never gone here. Location: Located at the riverside plaza, right at the entrance (you can't miss it). Experience: I came for the happy hour. Bar is open seating and there was plenty of seating. I found my spot and the bartender got my drink order quickly. The beers were cold and discounted. They had some good appetizer options and a beer with personal pizza special for like $9 that is too good to pass up. Note: You can get the full menu at the bar without the wait. read more

I've always heard good things about CPK, but for some reason never had the appeal to go in and try it. That all changed recently, and man have I been missing out. We were looking for a spot with happy hour to kill some time before catching a movie. Due to proximity we decided to give CPK a try. We were seating at the bar top (open seating) and greeted the moment we sat down. Mind you the bar was pretty full and only one bartender was working. He got our drinks, recommended some food on their happy hour menu all while cashing out other customers and refilling drinks without missing a beat. the beers were cold, apps were good, and service was attentive. The only downside was the gnats flying around and the restrooms could use some more attention. read more

Ate at this Riverside CPK recently and have no qualms with the wait staff, hosts, or chefs. Food was decent as any chain restaurant and same as any other CPK, very consistent. Wait staff is very friendly and attentive and accurate. Issue with this location is the general floor managers. They need more training from top to bottom. An order had an extra item on the bill, and after 20min, they could not figure out how to remove the one item. Then, this floor manager comes back with the handheld kiosk device and says, "okay the item was removed" only to have a HIGHER bill than originally presented. Then she had the worst attitude as if we were inconveniencing her, although the bill was higher than before, after said time was "removed." We just paid the bill and left instead of this manager try to figure out with her attitude in tow. More training is needed for these managers, from knowing how to redo bills to plain old customer service. read more

CPK has always been a safe choice for lunch. They have really affordable deals that will keep you full and satisfied. Me and my friends go here sometimes for lunch and it always slaps! Came in for dinner and happened to get lucky. It was also happy hour. I figure the person that sat my husband told him that because he's not usually too informed about these things but then I purposely ordered the street corn and he purposely ordered a beer meant to be on happy hour price, but Roberto rang it up at 6:15 so we didn't get happy hour price We did use the coupon so we got one meal for free and decided not to complain, but I was still disappointed .I wouldn't have ordered the corn. My husband's in love with the mushroom pizza and that's about it. He just found out today that the truffle oil cost two dollars extra lol There were little kids that annoyed me the entire meal. There was a beetle in our kung pao spaghetti which we ordered for takeout. We were disgusted after eating a few bites of it and it ruined our whole appetite. I threw up after that. SHOUTOUT TO AVA! She's fantastic and never made us feel rushed. I really appreciated the level of customer service at this location and the excellent interactions with EVERYONE! I notice these things, especially at busy restaurants, and it makes a difference when everyone feels right at home. All customers seemed happy, I know I was! We experienced a light wait time upon arrival, nothing too crazy. I was happy to see that there's both indoor and outdoor dining available. This CPK is pretty sizable, it's medium in scale compared to some other locations. I spotted a few TVs for sports enthusiasts and a tidy bar. My Dad noticed they were understaffed and the manager jumped in to support his staff without micromanaging them! How refreshing! Overall, the food was AMAZING! My recommendations are The Sicilian & The Pepperoni & Mushroom Pizza. The meats are high-quality and simply delectable. Top your meal off with a Belgian Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream and you'll be in eternal bliss haha. read more

California Pizza Kitchen at Riverside Plaza is always a solid spot when you're in the mood for pizza but want something a little more creative than the usual. They're known for their California-style pizzas, like the BBQ Chicken Pizza, along with pastas, salads, and other dishes if you're not in the mood for pizza. The restaurant has a relaxed, casual atmosphere that makes it easy to sit down and enjoy a full meal with friends or family. Service has always been friendly and attentive when I've visited, and it's a great place to grab lunch or dinner while you're already at Riverside Plaza. Overall a reliable spot when you want good food and a comfortable dining experience. read more

We arrived at the restaurant fully aware that, with a large party, the wait would be long. What we did not expect was the complete lack of communication between the host, the busser, and the manager. After waiting an hour, we were finally buzzed to the host stand--only to stand there for several minutes while being asked how many kids' menus we needed. As our group gathered around the stand, we waited to be escorted, but no one acknowledged us. It quickly became clear that our table wasn't actually ready. We stood near tables of four, and at one point the manager approached us and told us to move because he "needed the tables." We explained that we had been buzzed and had not yet been seated. Instead of apologizing or helping resolve the confusion, he repeated that we needed to move. His tone was disrespectful, and we were embarrassed by how the situation was handled. When the host finally returned with menus, she walked us to a table that was still dirty and missing chairs for our large party. She didn't apologize--she rolled her eyes and called for a busser. I asked to speak with a manager about the ongoing issues, but my request was ignored. Instead, our group was moved again, this time to the back of the restaurant near broken furniture and the restrooms. Not once did the manager on duty come over to apologize, explain the situation, or show any concern for the experience we were having. Our bill was $170, and we could have easily spent more, but by the end we just wanted to leave. The entire experience was disappointing from start to finish. I would not recommend this location to anyone until the management and communication improves. The start is for the server. Otherwise don't come to this lcoation. read more

Always a great experience at this location. Wonderful service throughout the whole restaurant, clean interior and some original twists on pizza. Along with the entrees, fresh salad and appetizer options the complimentary bread is like a warm embrace while you wait for your order. The warm butter cake is an indulgent mound of goodness. If you get the ice cream you may want to ask for it on the side.. unless you don't mind ice cream soup. If it's a pjs at home kinda night there's a side door for take out orders. On the south side where Panera is along with a designated parking area. A nice restaurant with indoor or patio seating. We had the spicy chipotle and wild mushroom pizza. Both very good but better if you ask for some lime crema sauce on the side. Costco has discounted gift cards if you want to save some pesos. read more

California Pizza Kitchen at Riverside Plaza is a solid choice in this busy shopping and dining area close to the 91, which also features a theatre and lots of other dining options. After a fun day at the pool, we were in the mood for pizza, and California Pizza Kitchen is always a reliable spot for a laid-back Sunday afternoon. It can get pretty busy, so either make a reservation or be prepared to wait. We had a 20-minute wait, which we used to explore the plaza. The atmosphere is welcoming and casual, though the service can be hit or miss, as the staff sometimes seems stretched thin. We ordered three pizzas: the Wild Mushroom (shaved Cremini mushrooms, extra virgin olive oil, fresh garlic, with Romano & Mozzarella, slivered scallions, and cracked black pepper) on a gluten-free cauliflower crust; the Mushroom Pepperoni Sausage (Cremini mushrooms, rustic pepperoni, spicy Italian sausage, fresh basil, Mozzarella, and wild Greek oregano); and the Sicilian (spicy marinara, Italian sausage, Capicola ham, pepperoni, Mozzarella, shaved Parmesan, fresh basil, and wild Greek oregano) on crispy thin crust. All the pizzas were flavorful and well-balanced, with the thin crusts providing a nice crunch. If you're in the mood for a casual night out and don't mind dining at a chain, California Pizza Kitchen is a reliable, tasty option. However, the service takes off a star. read more

California Pizza Kitchen has been around for years and it's seems okay compared to the competition around them. I usually get their pizzas and they're really solid. I came in with my family and ordered an appetizer of chips and spinach/artichoke dip. The order took a while and ended up coming after all our entrees came out and we had to ask again about it. A pizza kitchen should be best known for their pizza right? Well, CPK is an exception . My partner and I both got pizza and it wasn't what we were expecting from a pizza kitchen. Also, we experienced the worst service we have ever gotten. The person in the front, Amanda, however was amazing as she acknowledged the wait time and apologized. However, as we got seated, we waited 10 minutes for our server, who doubled as the bartender to take our drink order. I argue that the drinks were better than the actual food, which says a lot about quality and the speed of service. The bartender/server spoke so quick and did not attenuate their words, which made understanding him difficult. Upon ordering drinks, we were left at the table for a long time before I started to look towards the back of the house. I noticed that there were people in button ups (probably the higher ups or expos) that were just standing there doing nothing. And I also saw a couple of servers waiting for the food. The bartender noticed that I was observing and finally took our order. Not once did our server check in with us to see how our food was or to acknowledge the wait. They didn't say, "we'll be right with you." He just quickly handed us complementary bread and didn't say a thing. The food wait time was 20 minutes and the food is bland. The burnt ends pizza should have more brisket as that is the highlight of the pizza. My partner got the hawaiian pizza but was disappointed because the ham did not have any seasoning or taste at all. Seriously, a pizza kitchen should be known for their pizzas. It personally wasn't what we were expecting and I do not see ourselves coming back to any CPK location again. read more

This is really long overdue but my visit to CPK on my birthday was incredible! Service: we got serve by this older man (I totally forgot his name) and he was AMAZING by the way! Elotes dish 4/5: incredible, it was flavorful and the corn was very well season, I just wish it was a little bigger portion Chicken wings 3/5: good but it was a little overwhelming and tastes somewhat bitter? Spinach lemonade pasta 5/5: im not really sure what this dish is called because I totally forgot the name but ITS SO GOOD! It has a good amount of citrus and salt. The portion was really big as well. Combo pizza and salad 4/5: pretty good combo for the price! I didn't like the salad tho it was a little odd read more
