We recently ordered Bella's again. While the pizza was awesome, things have definitely changed here over the past two months, and not for the better. This time our lemon pepper wings had close to no seasoning at all and, again, no salt in the seasoning. The pastas we ordered, while still a good taste, now are coming with much less. The breadsticks, which are usually buttery and delicious, were now full of dry seasoning with little to no butter. This isn't the quality we are used to, and this is unfortunate since our orders are always large and between $80-$120 each order. I'm not sure if or how often we will order here moving forward. read more

The reviews seemed good. Now I am wondering if "elite status" reviewers know what they are talking about. I had the wings and the Philly. Yes, the wings had a bunch of sauce but they needed it because they were so dry. The Philly was disappointing. The meat looked like ground beef left overs. They had no peppers or onions. Barely had cheese on it. I don't think they know what a Philly cheese steak is supposed to look like or taste. The bread was good and the guy was nice. Only reason it wasn't a 1 star review. Read the reviews, and people seemed to like the lasagna, so I ordered a combo they had for a lg 2 topping pizza with any pasta. I added extra cheese to the pizza for $1.50. They sent me a message (they use the Slice app) saying the delivery time would be about ten minutes longer than the original estimate. Fine. I received my order by DoorDash within the window. The pizza was slightly warm. I tried a slice. It was ok, not great. It didn't appear to have the extra cheese I ordered. Then I tried the lasagna. I tried the lasagna next. I had high hopes after the reviews, but it was average at best. I didn't care for the sauce, it was plain and a little salty. My hubs and I pass by Bella's all the time and always want to stop in. Well today was the day and we are so happy we did. Tiny little shop near UPS and Smart and Final on Arlington. Guy that helped us was friendly and took our order for the $7.99 pizza with one topping. We ordered a pepperoni and it was ready in about 15 minutes. Wow, this pizza is excellent. Just the right amount of sauce, cheese pipping hot and so so delicious. The dough is also really good. Cooked perfectly! I might say the best pizza I've had on this side of Riverside. Was looking for a pizza place that was open early when I was in the area and came across this location. The lady who answered the phone was very friendly and helped me with what they had since there really isn't a menu posted on Yelp. I ended up getting a Xl pizza and some cheese bread for 20$ I had to drive about a half hour or so home and the pizza and bread helped it's temp the whole time! The pizza had a lot of flavor and was perfect for work lunch later that night and even the day after. The bread had a lot flavor as well and the sauce it comes with is really good! What you're looking at: double pepperoni, thin crust, extra sauce. Bella's was one of the first pizzas I've had in California that genuinely surprised me with how "back East" it tasted. They have a great sauce, decent crust and nice crispy pepperoni. The only thing holding them back is consistency. Sometimes the pie is amazing, like this one, and sometimes it's like "did you even read what the ticket said?" That said, the pricing is amazing too, carry out specials that rival little Caesar's prices, but quality that, when done right, is top notch! This pie was done right, minor flop on the tip, mostly due to the extra sauce. Super flavorful pepperoni, and as mentioned before, the star of this show is the sauce. Great pizza! The BEST that I've ever tasted in the tri county area! The crust is soft, not bitter and has just the right amount of firmness. The pizza sauce is tart or too sweet like so many other places. The cheese melts in your mouth and is not tough or chewy. You will NOT be disappointed.
