Web Wednesday coincided with USA World Cup soccer match! Perfect time to use that 50% off coupon. I ordered three extra large pizzas on the website to enable the use of the coupon. I ordered for delivery at 4:30pm. The match started at 5. 1 supreme with meat and fresh veggies (the best), a pepperoni and sausage and a pepperoni. They arrived steamy hot and 10 minutes early. Kudos to the delivery kid. We did our USA chant before he left. I trust your pizzas so much I didn't need to check each box. By the time my small group showed up and the USA scored 2. OK, publicly I have to apologize to this place. My kids both went to Saint Catherine's and Notre Dame and used to tell me what good pizza this was...never tried it. So in an attempt to avoid the blood thirsty delivery services we ordered from DiMatteo's and they have their OWN delivery staff and the pizza was absolutely phenomenal. The crust was absolutely delicious. We asked for it well done it was well done. The pepperoni was delicious, the salad was great... This will be the only pizza place I order from now on. They have deals on Wednesdays and I'm having a terrible time deciding what pizza we're getting tonight. I'M VERY SORRY DE MATEO'S THAT I NEVER TRIED YOU IN THE 22 YEARS. I'VE BEEN OUT IN THIS AREA. Placed an online order for a later pick up 2 hours prior only to get there at my scheduled pick up time just so the rude ass cashier could tell me my order was not ready and that it would be another 15 minutes, after waiting another 25 minutes for my order people where coming in and out of there and so many orders where mixed up at one point they tried to give a man 4 xl pizzas and he was stunned he said I only have 1 Pizza and wings. It was a shit show up in there. And NEVER once did the dumb cashier come back to me and update me on my order!! then she had the audacity to tell other customers sorry we r short handed but there was 5 employees in the back. Having grown up in the NYC tri-state area where it's actually hard to find a bad Mom and Pop italian restaurant, it's the complete opposite in SoCal to find a great Italian pizza parlor restaurant that's not washed down or fusion crap that's so far from the OG recipe or style. I've been trying different items from this restaurant, Pizza, manicotti, subs and now the calzone. Perfection! perfectly cooked, crispy crust and chew of the dough, marinara sauce is on point with the perfect tang and seasoning. Staff has always been friendly and professional. I highly recommend this place and I'm so glad I was told about this place which is hidden and tucked away in a strip mall. Will remain on my lunch rotation and go to local Pizza parlor. read more

It was around 2:30, so shocked it was so busy? One time I went the pizza was undercooked. I didn't notice till I got to my destination. Pros: Crust has good flavor, decent toppings. The garlic breadsticks were yummy one time I got em. Not sure if they are free if you eat at the location? Someone told me you do, but past couple times I've went I didn't receive any. The inside is pretty small, they have some great online specials and we ordered with less than an hour to close and had no issues with our order or the speed of the service. Again, I don't know who they are hiring as delivery people. We add an extra $10.00 to delivery as a tip. But the laziness of the delivery person has me concerned. We live on a corner lot and our pizza was delivered to our garage wall, not the front door. Mind you a call was made to inform my wife that the pizza was delivered. When we realized where it was delivered it was retrieved. May I say again we give the drivers a $10.00 tip to deliver to the front door not set the box on the wall on another street. I called the manager he tried to defend his employee but once he realized what was done he offered pizza free the next time. Was that enough? It came out to $40 dollars, decent price I guess. There was like 8 workers in the back and only one taking orders and she was taking a phone order at the time we got there so it was a little weird seeing everyone in the back standing around as we waited as well. But her service was nice once we were helped. The dining room now, that's where my 3 stars comes from. It was honestly pretty gross. Very old school. Of the 10 or so tables that they have I would say at-least half were dirty so again the 8 people in the back just standing around was weird. Would I eat again? Long on my radar, the appointed time came (because our go-to was already closed), and pizza and salad sounded right. A buddy always said the food is decent here, so that's a good enough referral. We got a medium pizza and large house salad. No frills with the salad, no problem. The dressing was good and it disappeared quickly. The pizza took a while longer than expected, but it was kinda funny because the kid who delivered it to our table apologized for how badly it was sliced. Apparently, it was his first pizza made there. We assured him everything was fine, and it was. In fact, I liked how low sodium it was. Long overdue review. This is my family's fave pizza place! They have great prices on their specials. I've been gluten free for years and most places that offer a GF crust give you a teeny tiny lil "pizza" but at DeMatteos, you can get a big gf pizza!! We've been to both locations and like the Magnolia location because they seem to employ a lot of kids working their first jobs. The pizza was bland... sorry bland is an understatement... there was ZERO flavor. There was hardly any cheese on it and the crust was doughy. The antipasto was missing the peppers it's supposed to come with and we struggled to find the few bits of meat it had in it. $50 after delivery fee and tip for mediocre food.
