This is my first time trying this place and for a quick summary, it was fantastic! I live a little ways from this place but it was worth the drive. Pizza Pirates is usually the king around my area but I really wanted to try a different pizza place and Pizza Plugg definitely did not disappoint. I ordered 2 larges online from Grubhub and had a $9 discount and it was about $34 (would have been about $43), one was the Paparonnie and the other was the Surrender and Lose It. Cons: Paparonnie was good but the only thing I didn't like was that there was a $2.50 charge for extra sauce and I love my pizza saucy. I didn't pay for extra sauce on the Surrender pizza and I felt it had about the same amount of sauce (felt like there was more actually). The pizza was good overall though. Pros: The Surrender and Lose it was the star of the show. It's about $22 on the Grubhub menu but man was it good. It felt like it was super extra cheese and super extra sauce and a perfect amount of toppings. I ordered it Pan Pizza style and I think this is the way to go. This pizza makes me want to go back. The pizza is really good! I came in on Saturday 1012 I had just spent the entire morning at the swapmeet across the street. Minor inconvenience, no public restrooms and I really wanted to wash my hands. I can see why no public bathrooms as I saw at least two homeless people in the area. So back to the pizza...the crust is amazing, VERY cheesy, and not greasy at all! I will be back for the pizza and to try other items on the menu for sure. The owner took the time to tell me about an event he was hosting that night and gave a very genuine invite. I am Big on customer service as this is what keeps customers back. Man oh man, as a big foodie in Riverside I love a great place close to home! This pizza is amazing, from the soft tasteful crust oozing with fresh melted cheese and based with great tasting sauces. We love to try new places and support the community. Tonight we chose Pizza Plugg. The staff was friendly, we decided to do a large pizza, wings, calzone and cookies. The pizza looked amazing and the kids liked it alot. The calzones were undercooked by a few minutes and still had a bit of raw dough in the middle. We ordered boneless wings and were charged for 8 but when we got home realized we got 6 bone in wings. The wings had real good flavor but again needed just a little longer cook time to get the skin crispy. The cookies were fresh and soft and still warm. I ordered a pizza and they messed up my order. I know I specifically asked for a topping and wanted to add one more knowing the extra charge. They wanted me to drive all the way back so they can make me a new pizza but as a single mom i struggled getting enough money to even come up with pizza just so my son can get his dinner request since hes starving after a day of errands. My granddaughter, her friend and I were hungry after going to a concert downtown at RCC's Coil Building and thought we'd try the newly opened Pizza Plugg on Mission Ave in Rubidoux (across the street from the drive-in theatre.) We dropped in around closing time but Ronnie was so nice to open up for us. We ordered the only size pizza they serve, Large, 1/2 Mama Bea's Special and 1/2 Pep/Sausage. First time going but also a brand new store. Opened on Nov 5th so they are still going through a soft opening. They mentioned they will be all in come a few weeks. Staff were quick and friendly. Silly owners should have learned how to operate a business before diving right into it. The pizzas are grease pits, they rarely have to 'go slices' for single servings, they for some odd reason leave the open sign hanging 24/7 365 days a year, apparently it takes to much effort to flip the sing when they are closed which is the majority of the time I drive by, the sign says open, the doors are locked and the lights are off. Ambiance? no such thing exists here unless you like looking at old pics of lowriders? How they even remain open is beyond me. I never see any customers. read more

Pizza is 3/5 Nothing special but if you want a pizza fix it does the job. Lots of cheese and decent doughy crust but toppings are really slim. Extra topping that was ordered was pretty scarce on the pizza. Wings 2/5 Bbq lacked any real flavor and were very fatty. Overall this place has potential but definitely needs attention to its look and operation. They are in desperate need of a new menu that is easier to read and to get rid of the outside wall menu that is incorrect and seems to be for a different pizza place. Associates were friendly but operationally it looked like they were still trying to figure out their way around the kitchen ( which is easy to see since it's all open to see) Not sure how long they have been open but they have several things to improve upon, there's definitely potential. Buyer Beware! Do not waste your money. I went in today and ordered the special "XL large 1 topping pizza". The man said it cost, $21.99. I also asked about the hot wings and ordered a 12 piece buffalo lemon pepper. When the man told me the total, I was shocked, it turned out to be $46 dollars and some change. Once I got home and I sat down to eat with my two children, the pizza did not look appetizing. I was sure that my children would devour and get more than one slice. They said it tasted horrible. When I took a bite, it did not taste good. I had ordered Pepperoni. I will never go there again! A side note, the hot wings were good. But asked for Ranch dressing and was told it cost $2 for some. A 12-piece hot wings cost $17.99. For the cost that I paid for this food, I thought it would taste really good. What a big disappointment! read more

Placed a mobile order through grub hub and when I arrived for pickup at the estimated time nothing was ready. Which is fine, I understand restaurants get busy. However, it turned out the order was not read in the portal. When I pointed out that I had ordered more than one pizza, the guy was confused and apologized and asked if I had ordered online and what I had ordered. I showed him my order and he again apologized as it was near closing. They made my pizzas and when I received them they still were not what I ordered through the mobile order. There was only a single employee and believe he still did not check the online orders for my order. I took the pizza as the guy seemed to genuinely want to make it right and offered free cheese sticks which were declined by myself. Be wary of online orders as it seems like the employee or owner possibly may have just been in a rush to leave for the night and disregarded the order in its entirety. Was excited to order here because we don't have a many pizza places close by but totally disappointed. There was one piece of pepperoni on every other piece . My husband was upset because he thought I had ordered cheese pizza. I ordered mango habanero wings and the wings were so dry and plain with no sauce on them so they tasted just like fried chicken no habanero , the breadsticks are more like 2 inch pieces of crust with butter . My son was disappointed as he loves breadsticks and he asked why they shrunk. I know this place is new and maybe they are on their trial run so maybe next time it will be better.
