We decided to order by the slice as each slice was generous in size, appealing and offered a variety of toppings. Great pizza if you're in the area. I was walking around downtown when I saw the pizza place. They have pizza (obviously), pasta, and sandwiches. I ended up getting their lunch special, which is either one slice and a drink or two slices and a drink. I went with the two slices. One pineapple and ham (Hawaiian), and the other was pepperoni and jalapeño. Both slices were good. The dough wasn't too soft or too hard. The cheese was perfect and the toppings had good flavor. I must say that the jalapeños have been spicy both times I've selected them as toppings. That's good if you enjoy spicy foods like me. Service is great. During the lunch rush hour, they could get busy especially because they are close to the courts and you see a lot of people wearing juror badges so it is a hot spot for lunch. I must say that they move quick though. The pizzas keep coming out fresh from the oven and the lines continue to keep moving. The ambiance in general is like a typical pizza place and one corner kind of looks like they recreated a small village in Italy with shutters and background. They have the best pizza I've ever had! I've been coming here for the past 25 years. The pizza is always perfect! It's always ready in 20 minutes and piping hot. It is loaded with toppings that are fresh and of the highest quality. The crust and sauce are so good!! I no longer live in Riverside, but I have driven an hour several times just to get their pizza. This review is a copy of one I did on Google: just don't want to see the same thing happen to someone else. My family ate here because we were in town for Festival of Lights on 11/30/24. Little did we know we were all going to throw up the same pizza we ate. Not sure if they didn't cook the pizza properly because they had given out our original pizza away to someone else. Then, five minutes later we get ours. Unsure if that was related. We were throwing up and diarrhea all night. My husband filled out a health report with city of Riverside. Have been coming here for about 10 years now. My father in law took us here after watching the fireworks show during the holidays. Instantly, we got hooked. Quality of the pizza and wings are great, pricing isn't too bad, and the best part is, the pizza is freshly made and brought to you sizzling. First time and pizza did not disappoint! I usually ask for thin crust, but forgot this time. Pizza came out loaded with toppings. Big giant chunks of italian sausage. Even though there were lots of toppings, it didn't make the crust soggy. I was able to pick it up without it falling apart. Dough was soft inside and crispy on the outside. Flavor was delicous. Was there yesterday. I asked if I could leave my pizza box and soda cup at the counter while I took my kids to the restroom and THEY SAID YES. I come out of the restroom and they are not there so I asked the guy and he says oh I left it on the top of the trash container . As he is saying this he is walking away .. I was on my way to work & stopped in because they sell pizza by the slice (I was in a hurry) I ordered two cheese slices & a Pepsi for $9 - which is reasonable considering the food was very, very average. The indoor dining area felt like it was also being used as a storage area, which immediately catches my eye. I don't wanna eat my food looking at buckets & storage bins. Now, the service is why I'm actually writing this review. I'm not sure if she is the owner or the manager, but from what I observed - she likes to micromanage the restaurant. It immediately made me feel uncomfortable for the workers. Now, if the restaurant was in tip-top shape & the food was great - I can understand, but it wasn't. So maybe focus on that a bit more than hovering over your workers. One last thing that I thought was incredibly weird - the cheese & peppers were hidden in the back, chained up like prisoners. Wtf? I'm so sad, very sad! Our office was across the street from this place for 8 years and we literally bought lunch for the staff at least twice a week. Pizza and their antipasto supreme salad was our staple. We took their salad home at least 3 times a week and sometimes we'd make a pickup on the weekend. That shows how much we enjoyed their food and customer service. As it was, we moved our office across town and would still periodically stop by for our most favorite salad. Todays experience was very disappointing. We have an extended stay at a hotel across the street and was so excited that we could enjoy our Fav again, all to be underwhelmed. We were greeted by someone who clearly wanted to be somewhere else. We asked if our slices of pizza could be warmed up and the answer was no and that "the heaters keep them hot." Well, that was the not case, they were room temperature. We asked for a Stella beer which was on display with the other beers and was told they were sold out. If something isn't available would you keep a sample on display or would you remove it from the customers view to avoid expectations. During the entire exchange it was as if we were asking too many questions and being an imposition. The kicker was the attitude changed when this person started interfacing with the other employee. Really? What happened to customer service?! What happened to being courteous and happy to have a job? Why doesn't the younger population understand the concept of smiling and greeting customers like they appreciate our business? What are business owners suppose to do to motivate their employees? Throwing money at them doesn't seem to be answer so we stand exasperated. Good luck Antonius, we won't be returning. read more
