Great pizza if you're in the area. I was walking around downtown when I saw the pizza place. They have pizza (obviously), pasta, and sandwiches. I ended up getting their lunch special, which is either one slice and a drink or two slices and a drink. I went with the two slices. One pineapple and ham (Hawaiian), and the other was pepperoni and jalapeño. Both slices were good. The dough wasn't too soft or too hard. The cheese was perfect and the toppings had good flavor. I must say that the jalapeños have been spicy both times I've selected them as toppings. That's good if you enjoy spicy foods like me. Service is great. During the lunch rush hour, they could get busy especially because they are close to the courts and you see a lot of people wearing juror badges so it is a hot spot for lunch. I must say that they move quick though. The pizzas keep coming out fresh from the oven and the lines continue to keep moving. The ambiance in general is like a typical pizza place and one corner kind of looks like they recreated a small village in Italy with shutters and background. Little did we know we were all going to throw up the same pizza we ate. Not sure if they didn't cook the pizza properly because they had given out our original pizza away to someone else. Needing a quick bite and post race meal after doing the Mission Inn Run half marathon, Antonious Pizza Cafe did not disappoint. I had their daily pizza slice and drink special. It was a good value and freshly made as you can see the chefs through a glass window in the back of the cafe preparing the pies and subs. They have "Thrifty Ice Cream" onsite too! I would have had some, if not having a shake the night prior at another local spot while staying in Downtown Riverside. We ordered for pickup a couple times, two larges: first was a two topping and the last the chicken alfredo. We also got the salad which they prepare the last minute so it doesn't get too soggy because they drizzle the dressing on the salad. Seems like customer service is hit or miss on other reviews but we didn't notice. Each time the order took around a hour because they're busy.
