People talk about In n Out and Shake Shack but I weirdly feel like Habit Burger is one of my favorite burger joints around. The food is fairly priced, never greasy, feels relatively healthy/nutritious, and vegan substitutes are free. I usually like to get the grilled chicken sandwich (550 cal/40g protein) but you can't really go wrong with anything here. The veggie burger with a side of tempura green beans is another of my go-to orders. There are some awesome deals on the app, including free cheeseburgers for sign up, but unfortunately some of the coupons don't work reliably. I'll get a promotion and most of the time the link in the email returns a 404. Boooo! read more

I just had one of the new chicken wraps and it was great. The fries were kind of cold and soggy, but I re-crisped them at home. The best part of the meal was watching the young lady at the register interact with some intellectually disabled people that were ordering lunch. She was very kind, patient, and respectful. The food and service are solid, but the restaurant is not well maintained (ripped booths) and the tables are disgusting every time we eat there. We carry alcohol wipes in our toddler bag and wipe down the tables every time before eating. Even the indoor tables produce blackened wipes (see photo). If it wasn't for the times we eat on the patio, I don't think those tables would ever be cleaned. read more

So i went to the Habit Grill today . I ordered through Grubhub. When I got there she said order ready she asked for my name and i gave her my name and she said not yours. The app was telling me still preparing so i was waiting the girl kept looking my way but never acknowledged me again . So someone came to grab their grubhub order when it clicked on me maybe the app is glitchy and it might be ready . So i asked her again if my order was ready. It was sitting all the way at the end and she said oh here it is. It was sitting there since i got there 40 mins later i get my cold order. Today, my wife wanted to try the newly opened Habit Burger and Grill in Riverside. We order her food through the drive-thru. She is not a meat eater, so she ordered their veggie burger with cheese. She then asked if she could make her burger a combo meal, and informed her there was no combo meal available. Therefore, she had to order additional items separately (à la carte). She then ordered sweet potato fries, and a medium drink. Once she completed her order, we were given the total, $18.78. We were in disbelief!!!! Once we approached the drive-thru window, I asked the cashier if she had made an error in price, and she confirmed to me the correct price was $18.78. I explained that we could not believe the cost of a burger, fries and drink. I then informed her that we know she has no control over the cost, but we will not return after this visit. Went to the habit on Monday 7th. First off this isn't a review on rude employees but rather employees lacking knowledge. It was all pretty normal until I started asking about substituting chicken on a wrap for a veggie patty instead. The employee had to ask around and later told us they couldn't. Then we asked if we could just do no meat at all on the wrap and she once again had to ask around to verify it being ok. I also ordered a Double char burger but asked for the patties to be veggie patties. Got my food and the wrap was fine but my Double Char only had one single veggie patty. Told the employee I ordered a double char and she told me something like you only get one since it's a veggie patty and If I want two I would need to be charged once again for the extra patty. Which doesn't make any sense since I was charged for a double char on my recipe and the additional 1.00 charge for the veggie patty and now I need to get charged once more for the second patty for the double char that only came with one. If I wanted to get a burger with a veggie patty, I should've just gotten a single instead since that's what I got anyways when I was charged for the double char or I should've just ordered the veggie burger which is only 8.19. I was charged for a total of 8.29 for double char, plus additional charge of 1.00 on top of that with the end result being a regular single char burger with veggie patty costing me more for less. read more

I live close to 2 Habits. We used to go 5-6 times a year. We really enjoy led their Santa Barbara hamburger. Our last 2 visits there have been bad. Went in for a soft serve ice cream, waited for quite some time at the register while an employee continued on with her business, not acknowledging us. We attempted to order from the touch screen, but soft serve was not on there. We continued to wait but the employee would not help us. She glances at us several times but left us hanging for a long time. We eventually left. I have never had this experience at The Habit before. I am disappointed. There were two things that i did not like about my experience today. I came in today to get the Santa Barbara char. I asked for no cheese about 3 times. And the girl told me there was no cheese on it even though the menu says it has it. Oh well. I order sweet potato fries and a drink as well. Sure enough, there was cheese on it. I told someone else about the issue and she took care of it. I had this one made to go. I got my order even though the meat seemed a bit cold. Also, I don't know what has happened with their mango drink, but it was absolutely awful. It smelled like cleaning spray and tasted really bad. Hello, after reading a couple of pages of reviews and my visit to Habit, I would say they should consider bringing your food to the table, even Carl Jr does that! Especially considering the price. I noticed they have a " self order system" thats ok, I guess.. But are they trying to limit the human employee factor?? I have 3 thing's to say: 1- dont ask for a tip before you get served. 2- make the burger something special. 3- provide something sanitary for your guests to eat on besides a porley wiped table. ** The Habit team reached out to me the very next day! No complaints about the food or the ambiance. It's always been clean and the staff is friendly. The two stars is because my online order did not "go through." I received two emails. The first one was to let me know that my order would be ready shortly. The second email was to let me know that my order was ready. My husband went to pick it up, and it wasn't there! This is the second time our order was not ready (the first time there was a fundraiser and they ran out of chicken, even though I placed the order in two hours ahead of pick up time). Gosh how I miss a great charred burger. I ordered an original charburger (with bacon) meal and a double charburger. The fries were OK, not the best but not the worst either. The burger itself was good, but I didn't taste the chargrilled taste. There was some type of white sauce on the burger. It didn't taste like Mayo (because it was runny) but it didn't taste like ranch either. It really didn't add to the taste of the burger.
