Went here for lunch today with my friends. The service was excellent and so was the food. We were a pretty large party and they gave us only one waitress. But she handled things really well and quite efficiently. Our glasses were never left empty and she checked on us often. At first I thought we must be her only table, because she was handling us as if we were. Then I saw her waiting on a few other tables and I was amazed. This must've been superwoman. The food was great. I ordered the penne pasta and it was absolutely delicious. This was only my second time coming. The first time a few months ago was pretty good. My wife and I decided to drop by during happy hours and it was packed. However, we didn't have to wait that long and we were seated immediately. We ordered some appetizers ( I think it's tuna salad with chips) and it was so delicious and the portion was h uge that we barely finished it. I ordered steak medium rare and when it came, it was well done. The waitress took it back immediately and to my surprise, after only a few minutes, the Manager himself brought my steak and had me try it to make sure it was cooked right. And it was. He apologized and told us it was on the house!! This is what Customer Service is all about!! What surprised me is that, the place was packed and really busy, but the Manager had time to bring the food and apologized. I will definitely be back for some more of their great appetizers and drinks! read more

Tried to watch a football here with my son and his girlfriend. It was a Thursday night game and they didn't even have the NFL game on. It would better if they played the sound through the speakers. I am giving 5 stars becauae of the manager and the servers. Our food came to the table cold. They brought out another burger and it was cold and raw in the middle. Things happen when restaurants are busy and overwhelmed with customers. What was amazing and commendable was the professionalism of our waitress, the manager and other waitstaff. Even though the food was cold twice they were determined to make our experience enjoyable. We will return! Obviously an off night which happens to all of us! read more

Typical Yard House clone. Exact same tap list and menu as other Yard Houses around the southern California area. Upscale chain, good food. Giant tap list but poor keg rotation with about 15 seasonal taps. Only a handful of things stood out like Hangar 24, Sculpin, Petrus aged red, Grand Teton Black Cauldron, Bruery Autumn Maple. Good stuff mixed in with PBR, Pyramid, Lost Coast, New Belgium. Service was touch and go. Left me hanging for awhile. Forgettable, though if your wife is going to spend an hour at Tyler Mall, it's a no-brainer to stop in. Cold metal bar, cold air conditioning, and wide spaces make the ambience a bit isolating, disconcerting. read more

Zero stars for slow service cold food and portion. It took about a half hour for Mac n cheese. Sent it back and still not hot and a smaller portion. Very poor quality control. Soup was barely hot. Over all food was very disappointing at this location . would have ordered additional item but was affraid it would take another 30 min. Do not plan on returning.... The food is zero star the server gets 2 star for keeping drinks full... So average is 1 star Poor poor managment skills. Man needs to be replaced for sure read more

Love this place! I typically order off the happy hour menu, but since I came on a weekend during lunch hour, I opted for a "Lunch Pairing" which is a half sandwich or pizza paired with soup or salad. I ordered the blue crab cake hoagie and a spicy house salad. SO DELICIOUS and perfectly sized lunch portion! Hoagie was flavorful the crab had a perfect mixture of tenderness and crunchiness. Love that this place closes late. When I want to splurge a lil, I always order the Miso Glazed Sea Bass.. It's the absolute best on the menu. My close second is their lettuce wrap but seriously, everything I've tried here (from sampling other people's plates) is really good! The food here is consistently good and you can't beat that beer list, so no complaints in that area. This review honestly is more service centered, unfortunately. I have had a few visits where waitresses forget about my table and have had the most angry rude bartenders! I once ordered an Old Rasputin (which is great on tap by the way) only to have to watch the bartender pour my $10 beer wrong and then not even give me a full glass! I very politely asked her if she could fill it to the top (the glass was literally only half full) and she snatched the glass from the table and very snottily poured me another beer as if I had personally offended her. I wish I had this woman's name! Oh well, I'll survive. My most recent visit was valentines day and it was great, which is why this place gets 3 stars from me instead of 2. My server that day was so knowledgable in brews and gave really great suggestions, she also didn't forget we existed, which is always nice. nice outside patio they have at the yard house located at the galleria aka tyler mall. The drink specials are good, with beers ranging in the $6.50 range and the margarita's in the $7.50 range. Ordered the crab/lobster artichoke dip. Have to admit it was pretty damn good. Not so healthy but still very good. I ordered the jerk wings which honestly was just too salty. she ordered the garlic noodles pasta dish with shrimp, crab and a few other seafood items. Very busy Friday evening. Trying to get a quick dinner for our son who had been up a couple of nights straight with the new baby in the NICU. Discussed our problem with the individual in charge and was given a table where we could talk about our grandchild's medical issues and assure our son it would be OK. I absolutely love love love Yardhouse and I am determined to try one at all locations. I recently visited the one at Tyler Mall on a ladies night out . Unfortunately we went on an extremely busy night and there were a lot of us so we had to wait. And as anyone knows there aren't a lot of waiting benches at Yardhouse, so we were stuck standing in the cold in heels and skirts. But when we were finally seated it was at a bench which wasn't too bad. Our waitress was friendly and the food didn't take too long. Infact I think it all came out at the same time , which is something I prefer rather than everyone getting their food sporadically. I finally decided to try something different and I got their full helping of Jambalaya. And when I say ooohhhhweeee I mean it!!!! It was nothing like Mom's but it was damn near close. The ladies I went with also enjoyed their food including the Baja and swordfish tacos. My friend said she wasn't too fond of the enchilada stack but I thought it looked good. That's one thing I really love about Yard House is that they present their food very well on your plate. read more

The Yard House has become one of our favorite casual restaurants. It's a big, airy place with great beer and menu selections. Also, the music always seems "just right" in creating a low-key, fun atmosphere. We've enjoyed everything we've tried on the menu with the exception of the lobster garlic noodles -- just too rich and too much going on in that dish! Our new favorite is something I haven't seen on any other menu and it's delicious and low-cal -- their grilled hearts of romaine salad with red onions, candied walnutsand a gorgonzola champagne vinaigrette. This is the spot for happy hours on fridays. We have always had a good time finding tables, and they have and awesome happy hour priced menu with beers drinks and appetizers. We all order one appetizer and share and we are more than content with not only the delicious food but the prices we pay. No way do we empty out our wallets. Servers are good and the managers even come around and ask how you are doing! They have tons of beers on tap and ask the waiter for a recomendation and they are more than knowledbeable about what they have! If you head out later at night do expect to wait for your drinks, and downfall is no dancing. read more

I went during happy hour with my coworkers here, they seated us quickly after rearranging seats for our party. I ordered the chicken nachos since the appetizers, sliders, and pizzas were half off. The plate was huge! Definitely to share, but well worth the price! My friends enjoyed the Southern Belle and Pomegranate margarita (which i had a taste of), good for a fruity drink! Terrible customer service and they have COCKROACHES! My family and I came here to celebrate my sister's college graduation. We asked for a regular table because we had a stroller and the hostess took us to a booth. When we reminded her that we needed a table, she left our whole group standing in the middle of the restaurant until our table was set up. It took about 10 minutes for the waitress to take our drink orders, another 15 to get our drinks and take our order. It was 43 minutes and we still had not gotten our food. People around us who arrived after us were already eating and nothing for us! In the 43 minutes we were waiting for our food, the waitress never had the courtesy to stop by our table to give us an update on our order or to simply apologize for the delay. While we were waiting for our food, the table next to us stood up screaming because there were two HUGE COCKROACHES under their table. At that time the manager came to their table to deal with he cockroach situation and we complained that we had not gotten our food. The waitress said they had a lot of parties and that there was nothing they could do. The manager simply apologized, but didn't seem to be concerned that we decided to walk out. We were there to celebrate my sister's graduation and they completely ruined that moment for my family. We were there for over an hour and decided to walk out due to the terrible service, but also because we were disgusted by the cockroach situation. We had to drive back to San Diego hungry. Will never come here again and will make sure everyone we know knows about it. read more
