We had a reservation because of Easter Sunday being popular for brunch wherever you go so smart choice seeing that the restaurant did get pretty busy after we were seated. Our waiter Jesus was kind, professional and made a point to make sure we were taken care of every step of the way (water refills, checking in on us, keeping us posted on our food order) just absolutely . I'm really disappointed with the service we received during our recent visit. We came in to celebrate a birthday, expecting at least a decent dining experience, but it fell far short. From the start, our waiter never introduced himself, which immediately set an impersonal tone. Throughout the meal, he barely checked on our table--no follow-ups to see if we needed anything, refills, or even another round of drinks. We felt completely overlooked. When it came time to pay, the situation got worse. The waiter was extremely rude and unaccommodating when we asked to split the check, making what should have been a simple request feel like an inconvenience. To top it off, despite clearly celebrating a birthday, there was no effort made to acknowledge it. Instead, we were told, "You can pay for a dessert and I can put a candle on it," which felt dismissive and took away from what was supposed to be a special occasion. stopped in after a long day down in San Diego because it was on the way home and we're really glad we did! i had the porterhouse & shrimp and hubs had the carne asada & camarones (similar but different to what i had lol). both were pretty solid. the chimichurri sauce that came with both were delicious! we didn't anticipate it being the kind of place that sends a photographer around or celebrates birthdays with a group singalong. we didn't hate it, it just caught us off guard haha the other guests seem to really enjoy themselves. staff were very attentive, even though we were one of the last sittings of the night. we felt very well taken care of. we'll definitely come back! i hope to sit on the patio next time read more

Banana latte was the star of the show. Absolutely delicious. If you like something sweet, the lattes are a good choice. The chicken Cesar wrap, missed the mark. Lettuce was hot and wilted. The dressing was dripping from the tortilla. Was kinda disgusting. I had to open it up and just eat the chicken by itself. This item definitely needs to hit the drawing board again. Yuck! Great brunch spot in Corona. Enjoyed the chilaquiles w jalapeño crema (but do they have to charge extra for eggs?? That's always come included), mascarpone French toast with tres leches sauce and the three piece empanada appetizer. The cafe de olla is too sweet and wish they offered fresh milk/cream instead of creamer singles. Giving 3 stars bc of the wait staff. When Our table had a milk spill, it was difficult getting anyone's attention, they did not help with the cleanup on the table or floor and just handed us extra napkins. Horrible customer service. Made a reservation over a month ago for mothers day and they don't bother to call. They sent an email a day ago cancelling, why not let customers know, knowing it's a busy day so they could make other plans. The girl I spoke to was rude and sounded incompetent. Had never been here and now I won't bother ever going. Asked to speak to a manager and they refused. Put me on hold for over five minutes. Poor management and customer service. Had brunch at Blackstone Kitchen + Bar with two of my friends for an early Mother's Day celebration and it was my first time there. I ordered the chilaquiles and they were amazing! Usually the chips get soggy fast, but theirs stayed perfectly crispy while still soaking up all the flavor. I also tried a bite of the French toast and it was so good -- the flavored cream they use on top was incredible. Everything we had was delicious and the atmosphere was great for brunch. My friend went with the Benedict flight, and each variation was a flavor bomb. The pork belly with tomatillo sauce was her favorite, and I can see why--it was perfectly balanced and rich without being heavy. The photo really shows how generous and beautifully plated their dishes are, from the crispy roasted potatoes to the perfectly poached eggs and vibrant sauces. I would come back just for that appetizer. We also ordered the filet mignon and short rib ribs both of them excellent! It was only a few bucks more and came with way more steak. What I did order was good. Not amazing, but pretty decent overall. The steak was decent quality, just not much of it. The potatoes were the real winner, they were really, really good. Overall, it was a decent experience. Not something I feel the need to rush back to, but I'd be fine eating here again. The staff were attentive and helpful and offered us a flight of different sauces to try. I had the Benedict Flight which was phenomenal! Every bite was bursting with fresh flavors. My hubs got the Steak and Eggs. He wanted it medium rare but got medium instead but still enjoyed his meal. I'm loving this place! It's modern, clean, has moody ambience, and delicious food and drinks. We ordered a mimosa flight to start. They had a little too much juice for my taste, but were good. The service was a little slow, but they were busy, and the food we ordered was worth the wait. The Benedict Flight was my favorite. Each one had its own flavors, so different, but also so great together. The Steak and Eggs was a great classic style, and I really liked the chimichurri sauce and potatoes with it. The Waffles were good too. They were slightly soft for my liking, but the flavor was still really good. Once our food arrived, I ordered a Carajillo and it was amazing! I'd never had one before and it was a perfect addition to the meal. Wish I'd ordered it to start too. What a great little restaurant. It's lovely inside and on the small side. It was almost perfect. I'll start with the food: The PAN SEARED SCALLOPS were cooked perfectly! The sauce was surprisingly complimentary, the mashed potatoes were tasty but the asparagus was awful. It had a bitter taste and no seasoning at all. I'd get the broccolini next time. My hubby got the FILLET MIGNON and he was in heaven. He keeps asking to go back every day! We shared the PAN DE ELOTE and it was good, but I wish they would've had another option besides cheesecake. The restaurant is dark, too dark. It's really hard to read the menus. I kept getting blinded by people's cell phone flashlights being used to see the menu. They need to turn up the lights, a tad. I couldn't even see how much salt and pepper I was putting on the unseasoned asparagus they served me. I ended up over seasoning it. The restaurant is pretty small so I can see why you would need reservations. We showed up before they opened on a Sunday and were seated us away without the reservation, but I wouldn't try that on a Saturday or later in the evening! They did have an amazing cook on the scallops and the filet mignon, so I would definitely come back and would love to try some more things because all the plates that the servers were bringing out looked absolutely amazing. I think if you're looking for something with a nice ambiance, this place will be OK for a local option in corona. The second time I came here, I didn't even get napkins for the table. The server never came back to check on us after the initial order. I had to walk inside to request napkins. Also, if you come after their initial morning or afternoon rush, they welcome you with displeasure, almost shocked that you would choose to grace the establishment past 12. Thankfully I just wanted a drink, but I was floored to see them look at me. I got several states snd only one person said hello and offered service. One guy was setting the tables and looked at me with the worst face. The same one who flickered the lights the first time I was there. Honestly so rude and I hope they train their staff on service. It's really not the best here. After three visits I probably won't be coming back again for a while. The only standout thing is their banana latte. A nice place finally in corona! We went for brunch and the food was so good and flavorful. We had the flautas, the savory empanadas and the French toast mascarpone. Everything was so good! Flautas and empanadas had super flavorful meat and the bread part was flaky and baked perfectly. The French toast had crispy edges but then super moist inside, the little milk sauce thing was also a nice touch! Their drinks were also super good and strong. I got the strawberry Margarita and my friends got the guava mocktail but asked for it to be a cocktail so just put well tequila alcohol in it. They liked it too. The vibe and decor is super cute. A full bar in the middle, and cute lighting decor. I can see the potential for like a nice dinner place, it's super dim and cutesy. Our server was really attentive and nice. We will come back. The vibe in this place was super cute and I saw a lot of people celebrating birthdays here etc.. All of the drinks and brunch food items sounded amazing and I also enjoyed that they had some of the regular food options as well . To drink I got the watermelon cumcuber magarita and it was super refreshing and not too sweet . For food I got the chicken and waffles and it was a nice size portion .
