We love The Yard House, Pasadena location and Downtown LA are consistently serving great food and great service. We've had many special occasions at The Yard House and always our first choice. Moving to the AV, we were very happy to see this establishment is here. Yesterday's visit - wow, we walked up and the glass doors were filthy disgusting with fingerprints smears and the door handles were just as dirty. This is not the standards for this establishment. We were seated in the patio AND AGAIN those doors were just as filthy Party of 6. The food was tasty, but we got no refills on our waters, one meal was comped because it got lost ‍. They need a Proteam to go in and assess the flow and cleaning protocols during this COVID/Delta era we live in. All those greeters should be wiping down those doors, they just stand around and socialize. read more

We have frequently been patrons of yard house but today we had one of the worst service experiences that we've ever had at any restaurant. We sat at the bar and were ignore multiple times by our main server. He only took our order than never checked back on us and we had to track down the other server for more drinks and he wasn't very pleasant either. Job burnout possibly? But it's no excuse to treat your customers like trash and like They're invisible. It wasn't even that busy! We spent well over $75 bucks on our apps and drinks and we left feeling pretty crappy about how we are treated. We were just asking for basic service and to be treated like human beings. I ordered the "new" double BLT on a toasted brioche bun with onion rings. I didn't get a brioche bun, instead I got a non-toasted slice of regular sandwich white bread! What a rip off! And the onion rings were room temperature as well and not crispy either. Husband ordered the "new" Philly ribeye cheese steak with fried onions. The bread was rock hard and flaky, there were more toasted onions than ribeye. And let's be real, it wasn't even ribeye. Service was under par and not worth paying for. read more

Yard house is known for their great drinks, but I must say the food and the customer service was on point, when we visited this location on a warm Monday evening. Our waiter Brooke was very attentive & engaging. She was very knowledgeable about the items on the menu. I opted for the fried Fish tacos which were pretty good. I also tried a couple bites of my girlfriend's, Yard House version of the California Roll. I must say, it was surprisingly good. Drinks : Skinny Margarita - My girlfriend loved it, and that's good enough for me. My Strawberry margarita was really good as well. Went here on 8-30-23 for dinner. Appears the menu had changed since our last visit. It was happy hour so kind of loud as expected. Ordered the calamari appetizer. Reasonably good. It was too spiced for my wife. All the more for me. She had the BBQ Chicken salad and a dark beer. No issues. I ordered the Maui Pineapple Chicken Breast and broccoli with brown rice. Got a very over cooked tough dry piece of chicken, white rice and very undercooked broccoli. I know broccoli is supposed to be firm but this was tough and chewy and I guess you can call anything Maui or Hawaiian by just adding some pineapple and teriyaki/soy sauce. Service was ok. I've been here twice and I finally writing my review for Yard House. We walked in and was told it will be a 15 minute wait. We waited more than 15 minutes. I saw everyone that came after us being seated and they basically forgot about us. We said something and were seated right away. Minus 1 point for their so called " We forgot about you" attitude. We ordered the spicy tuna. It was very good even though it only had a few pieces of tuna. It was mostly avocado, lima beans, and I think it was small pieces of cucumber. It would taste very delicious if it came with some kind of fried wontons chips. I really wanted some kind of chips and not use my fork to eat it. Over all it was still good. We also ordered the California Reuben sandwich on which we were told it was the last day on the menu. It was very delicious. Juicy, full of meat, and it melts in your mouth when you eat it. The only problem with the reuben was the bread, they could of made it with a different bread it was falling apart very fast. It also had onions, cheese, jalapenos, thousand island, and other ingredients. It comes with fries. Best fries I ever tasted. I had the strawberry mojito form the bar. All I can say is the drink was a joke. It had a drop of alcohol that's about it! I was charge $8.25 for juice. This is not the place to get a nice alcohol drink. I used to live in Long Beach (many years ago) and I would always hit up The Yard House. When they put one in Palmdale (where I live now) I was super excited. I went there today with my wife and brother for lunch. All I have to say is that I have never had a bad experience. There service and food are always on point... and if you can't find a drink that you like you must be the pickiest person in the world, they have practically every type of beer and specialty drink. Today happened to be my bday when we went I had the seared ahi tuna sandwich (delicious every time), my wife had the margarita pizza (she loved it), and my bro had their bacon cheese burger with onion rings. Granted in the evening they get pretty busy but if you don't mind grabbing a drink at the bar before you sit to eat you're in good shape. Definitely will be back and I highly recommend. read more

Yard House is one of mine and my fiancé's favorite date night spots. I love the poke nacho appetizer, but there are so many delicious things to choose from. The appetizers are enough to feed one person (well at least enough for me) so I usually stick to that part of the menu and the snack size options are great too. Special shoutout to two star employees tonight (sorry if I butcher the spelling) Makaylla the hostess who seated us immediately but actually made REAL conversation on the way to the table and not just the usual hi how are you, ok here is your table, bye. Super sweet. And also our waitress Kate who was so attentive and helped my indecisive self pick between a few different options. There are tons of tvs, most of them playing the same channel of baseball. The bar has MANY options and it seems like they have more bartenders manning that station. Went there Sunday with my Wife and the first waitress was really nice and she told us she had to leave and another waitress was going to take over. The second waitress was very rude and dis-respectful. The food was ok but we asked for some bread thinking it was fresh baked and warm. Not even, it was a cold slice of bread. My friends and I went here for some drink and our actual service with our waiter was great. But, a waitress came with drinks dropped a tray of drinks and it fell on me. Did not show any concern about me our my table cleaned it up and left. This is our second time eating since they opened. Our waitress, Brenda came to the table right away, brought the menus and took our drink order. She returned a short time later took our food order. Mother's Day is the WORST day to get a decent meal at many restaurants so this must be taken into consideration when reading this review. Overall, there were only 2 real blips in a rather ordinary meal. First one dish included crab and they were out of it. After speaking with the manager, he promised a little extra lobster to make up for the missing crab. Of course, that did not happen. But he did give 2 $10.00 gift cards so that is that. Lastly the worst desert I ever had I had was there: bread pudding. There should have been a law against what they served. It was soft cubes of plain white bread sitting in anglaise sauce and a few strings of caramel with a blob of ice-cream over the whole mess. Moral of the story: On Mother's Day expect a mediocre meal in an extremely loud atmosphere. read more

Updated review: despite our negative first visit regarding a wrong quoted wait time, Yard House excelled in customer service after I reached out via Twitter. Furthermore, costumer service from our severs was pleasant and they were attentive to our visit. Finally, our food was delicious! (jambalaya, enchiladas, and tacos). My husband & I recently ate at The Yardhouse, this being our fourth visit, we were not surprised that they have yet to increase their standards as far as food quality & pace of service. We have numerous years of experience working in fine dining, and one negative thing that we consistently see is a lack of timeliness. My husband ordered a whiskey & 7 which was not delivered to him until about twenty-five minutes after ordering, and upon receiving his drink it was completely watered down and had zero taste of sprite. He had to ask our waitress to return his drink to the bar and add more sprite. We started our meal with the calamari, and it was the worst calamari we have ever had. We pride ourselves in sampling calamari at every restaurant that we've ever eaten at and the calamari here is a complete disgrace, they would be better off removing it from the menu. It is insanely dry and tastes of old fish. Never order this if you decide to come here. For dinner I had the spicy tuna roll (which was on the appetizer menu) and my husband had the halibut. On the menu the spicy tuna roll is described as "seared ahi" but mine had no appearance or taste of any sorts. My husband's halibut was beautifully cooked but the mushroom sauce had a gritty texture and lacked seasoning. Overall we did not enjoy our trip here. Our waitress seemed distracted when we first arrived up until after we received our dinner. From then on she tried to make up for it, but once you've sat for fifteen minutes before your waitress greets you, have to wait twenty-five minutes for drinks, and then wait another fifteen minutes before ordering, the customer service has dwindled away. But I'm glad that she tried to climb her way back. The Yardhouse lacks proper customer service and quality food; don't order the calamari, I can not stress that enough. read more
