We've been to Yard House before and I can definitely tell their mashed potatoes recipe has changed. They were a bit more dry than they used to be. Steak was cooked perfectly! So I can't complain about that. The salad was good too with very tasty shrimp. Service was ok, but it could be better. We came on a Sunday for lunch and it wasn't even that busy but our server was a bit too pushy in my opinion. I don't appreciate getting rushed to order or to finish my food. I was still working on my veggies after finishing the steak and she took the plate. Hmm ok? I told her I was still working on that and she gave me the plate back. A friend and I were in the area and decided on Yard House for lunch. This location is located near some really good restaurants and cute shops, so it's the perfect place to spend the afternoon. The place was pretty empty, no more than three or four small groups dining in. It's a very big restaurant with booths and tables surrounding the bar. The bar area is fairly large with TVs all over so a great place to watch a sports game. We sat in a booth and were quickly greeted by our waiter. We ordered a few drinks to start. The Long Island was okay but not my favorite. The Old 43 was perfect. This might be my go-to next time I'm at Yard House! With barely anyone dining in, our food came out quickly and was made perfectly. We both ordered the Jambalaya with noodles (you can also order with rice). I was going to say no sausage, when our waiter informed me that the restaurant used chicken sausage, which I was happy about. Jambalaya comes with chicken sausage, shrimp, and crawfish and was soo soo good. Definitely give it a try! I had a really disappointing experience here. After being threatened by a man who was clearly drunk, I chose not to engage and instead reported it to the staff. While I was explaining the situation, the man continued to glare at me in a very hostile way, yet I was the one asked to leave. As a younger Black man dealing with an older white male, I felt my concern wasn't taken seriously at all. I was lowkey shocked bc why are people eating so late ahhahah (not me writing that as I was that customer eating that late). Anyway, the tuna salad was so delicious and fresh af. First time here in a long time. Sports bar ambience with comfortable booths. If you're there for beers the Yard House is great. However, the food is another matter. The voodoo tacos are close to terrible. Thank God I only ordered two tacos and not three. Onion rings are OK. The Cobb salad was reasonably average. Our server was great, but honestly asked more questions than anybody I have ever met. I felt like she knew our life stories by the end of the meal. It was OK just odd and a little awkward. Went here for a drink and dessert with a friend. Their Old Fashion was smoked and arrived with smoke vapor pouring out of the glass. The vapor didn't last very long and the drink was not tasty. The waitor recommended the creme brulee cheesecake and said it was his favorite dessert. So we took his recommendation and regretted it. It was not good. After he learned we didn't like it. He asked if we wanted to order something else and then told us that he has never tasted the creme brulee cheesecake. He lied so much, he couldn't even keep up with his story telling which was super disappointing. I didn't order anything else so I don't feel I am able to adequately rate this place. Yard House has always been a decent restaurant with great food and atmosphere, this time was no different. We were here celebrating my best friend's birthday this past weekend. Ron was our server and he was great. He was attentive and made us feel at home. I love the Bold Fashioned drink (a twist on the Old Fashioned classic), it's soooo good! I loved it. For my appetizer, we shared spinach dip, it was yummy! For my entree, my favorite dish, Lobster Garlic Noodles, it is always so filling and delicious. The first time it came out, it was way too salty. So Ron took it back and had them remake it and it was wonderful once it came back out. Also a side of loaded mashed potatoes, so good! Met up with friends for happy hour for drinks and socializing. Because it was a Tuesday, there weren't many patrons there. We got there slightly after 6 pm and missed the happy hour. Happy hour is from 3 pm-6 pm M-F. They do not have a specific HH menu but the main menu does have a small "HH" on the items that are half off. And speaking of menus, they have a separate menu for local draft beers and the regular menu which is cool. They have a code that guy can scan with your phone if you're not comfortable with using a paper menu. Food: The truffle fries were really really good. I ordered just a house salad and chicken tortilla soup. They toss the salad with dressing already so if you want it on the side, you'll need to ask. The salad was basic, which I was ok with as I was having a hard time figuring out what I wanted to eat. The soup was great but could have stood to be a little hotter. It came out just warm but again, very tasty. The drinks were great as well. I had a black orchid Martini and Pineapple Express. Food was good but order was messed up three times. First ordered beer brought wrong one second my wife ordered tacos and specially said two when asked brought one then ordered 9 oz. Wine brought 6 oz. When questioned they said oh boy screwed up. Then took twenty minutes to bring correct order after screwing up orders then after asking for check took another 15 minute. But today my server was either distracted or on break because the manager was the only one checking on me.. I came during lunch so there were a few people in there, there was music and the scene was upbeat. Now to be honest Yardhouse normally doesn't miss in regard to food tastes... they will get your order wrong occasionally but it normally comes out good.. However this time my fries were very cold and stale and my wings were stingily sauced.. like y'all can see the fry patches in the picture.. But apart from that the food is normally good.. I love the beer it was great but I must say if you're going to get the "tower" half yard , you gotta drink it semi fast only because then it gets hot (room temperature) and it kinda sucks after that. The appetizers were delicious! We got fried onion rings, cheese dip, and guac and chips. The guac and chips came in a small portion so I don't recommend it plus I think you can get it better at another place. The star of this review is the seafood jambalaya!!! Bro super good jambalaya! I've been a fan of Yard House for years and have celebrated multiple birthdays here, although they're not too fond of a little confetti, so keep that in mind! I also love coming here for dinner dates. They serve my favorite beer, Velvet Hammer, which is always a treat. For those with dietary preferences, Yard House offers several vegan and vegetarian options listed under the Gardein menu. If you sign up on their site, you can even get a free dessert (non vegan though), if I remember correctly. The restaurant is very spacious inside, with TVs and a centered bar, creating a lively atmosphere. Two things to note- parking in this area can be challenging, especially on Thursdays through Sundays, particularly in the evenings. Be prepared to walk a bit just in case. However, the service at Yard House is consistently good, and I've never had any issues. Additionally, a bit sad that it seems over the yrs the Gardein orange chikn has changed some, I prefer the previous Gardein chikn used and the thicker sauce provided before (if I have old pics for comparison, I'll add). Also, note for vegans- the jasmine rice is not vegan as I believe it has butter now, I was misinformed previously by staff so just a heads up or maybe ask. Their spicy rice shows vegan but I'm not a huge fan... Hence the 1 star removal. Overall, Yard House is the perfect chill spot for satisfying all kinds of different cravings, and I always enjoy my time here. read more

It has a sports bar type feel but we've seen people bring their kids and we've brought ours too. Plenty of seats available and they have multiple TV for sports. Food and drinks are decent. Nice bar area and they offer multiple cocktails. You can order with the staff or through the little kiosk on your tables. You also pay through the kiosk. Each time we have hard good servers. I went there with my service dog Zeke today in 106-degree weather, and the bar manager took his water away and told me that service animals were not entitled to water. I told her that was animal cruelty that could result in the death of the animals, but she had no concern for his wellbeing. Yard House is one of my favorite casual restaurant chains that I go to and this particular location in Addison is at the top of my list of my favorite Yard House's that I've been to! We've come here a few times now, it's great for all different sorts of occasions. We come from time to time for the happy hours, where appetizers and pizza are half off, bring friends here for lunch a lot, and had a birthday dinner here as well! It has a wide variety of food options, as well as a full bar, making it a great option for all sorts of occasions. For lunch or in the early evening, I often love sitting on the outdoor patio area. It's very relaxing and has plenty of shade from umbrellas available. I love grabbing a wine or cocktail and having some light bites or pizza with it. The indoor dining space is very nice as well, with comfortable and spacious booths available and a very large space. As for the food, it can be a little bit pricey, which is why I often use their half-price happy hours to get some appetizer items, which come in very large and generous portions. We often just get two or three of them and share them with the table. The nachos are SO delicious, as are the Wisconsin cheese curds. Those are some of our favorites! The different macaroni's are really good as well, as are the burgers and flatbreads. Having had a lot of different items over time, I can say with quite certainty that there's hardly anything on the menu (and it's a pretty big menu) that I don't LOVE! There's plenty of options for drinks as well, with a wide selection of wine, beer, spirits, and cocktails. I try a different one every time and I love them all! Yard House is a great spot for all sorts of occasions, from just a casual lunch to a celebration or special event. Although the prices can be high, they have several happy hour options with great deals. I go to them frequently, and this location is my favorite in the DFW area.
