Well thought I would give it a try on one of my few trips into Carson City since one review said it had the best Egg Foo Yung. And it has always been my life's mission to travel the world searching for the best Shrimp Egg Foo Yung, and I must say it was pretty good. It came with three large omlettes and I could only eat one which means a great lunch for tomorrow. I have missed east coast Chinese food and in particular a good Egg Foo Yung with a Good gravy with a good hot Chinese hot mustard and I must say that this fulfilled all my needs. Unfortunately that is all I really tried this time so i can't comment on anything else except that I will be back to try more. This place was pretty terrible! We got shrimp dumplings, egg rolls, crab Rangoon, orange chicken and pork fried rice. The only edible thing was the pork fried rice! I did order to have it delivered and I will never make that mistake again! Good Cantonese food. I placed an online order using their website, and everything went smoothly. The order was being bagged as I arrived. This is the go to place in Carson City for Chinese food! If someone's looking for good Chinese food, go no further. It's not fancy, yet very clean. We've always had excellent meals here. As much as I wanna give this place a 3 star cause its decor is just so yikes... I gotta give it a 4. The value you get here is just something you can't beat. The portion you get and the quality of food you get for price you pay is simply unmatched around Carson in my opinion. It's so low key and ugly looking I honestly have no idea how anyone knows about it. No lit up signs or anything you would walk right by it at night. There's also rarely anyone in here. Ordered pick up from Yang's last week and was pretty satisfied with the order! My boyfriend got the Crispy Duck Dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it. He said the duck was perfectly cooked and flavorful. I ordered the Shrimp Chow Mein dinner special. The Chow mein was well cooked and flavorful. The vegetables were cooked with a little crunch still to them, perfect! The shrimp was well cooked and tender. The only things we didn't like about our meal was the appetizers that came with the dinner specials. The egg rolls were crispy, but tasted funky- almost like the vegetables were off. The crab Rangoon looked good, but had no filling! It was disappointing from that standpoint! read more

Yang's is quickly becoming my new favorite Chinese restaurant in Carson City. The food is consistently hot, fresh, and delicious. Yesterday I had a late lunch (3:00) and half expected the hot and sour soup to be overcooked from sitting around since 11:00 or so. I was pleasantly surprised by the best soup I've had in recent memory. The general chicken was not overcooked nor was the breading too thick. The eggrolls were also very fresh and crispy. The portion sizes have always been generous and the service is excellent. I've had food delivered on two occasions and holy Kung pao are they FAST. I received my order in less than 25 minutes both times. I haven't tried the sushi bar yet, but if the Chinese portion of Yang's is any indication it should be worth the visit. Four stars for Yang's! I am so happy i found this place. By far one of the best chinese restaurants in carson city for lunch. The lunch specials they have are so cheap for the amount and quality of food you get. Very satisfying. I got the roasted duck with chow mien for lunch. The special comes with soup, crab rangoon, and eggroll as well. Love their chow mien! Entire plate was good enough for my lunch and dinner hehe Service was decent as well. They were very packed during lunch time and the place is fairly small. We have been coming to Yang's kitchen for many years. This is one of the best Chinese restaurants in northern Nevada in my opinion. The quality & taste of the food has always been consistent & very good. You get big portions with each meal, usually have some food to take home. We love the pot stickers, the best I've ever tasted. Good food, friendly service, great prices, conveniently located. I've been going here for lunch often, since it's conveniently located downtown and walking distance from work. The menu is quite extensive, but I typically order off the soup or lunch special menu. I haven't tried the sushi side of the house (the restaurant is two separate rooms, one for Chinese food, the other a sushi bar). I don't often see too many people at the sushi bar though. The Chinese food is pretty good though. For around $6 you can get yourself a big bowl of soup or a combination plate off the lunch special menu. The chicken noodle soup is delicious, and just right for a cold day. The lunch specials come with your entree of choice, rice or chow mein, an egg roll, and choice of soup. I've had a few of the entrees, and they've all been good. Portions are good size, and I've never left still hungry. Some of the meals currently come with complimentary dim sum (small filled dumplings). I probably wouldn't order these specifically, but they're a nice addition to round out the meal. Service is fantastic, and everyone in the business seems genuinely happy to see you. I'm looking forward to trying out more of the items on the menu! read more
