New menus as well, but with new menus comes new prices ... no they didn't go down. What did go up as far as food quality goes are the pot stickers! They're priced at $13 now for 6 pieces, but dang are they worth it. These are the best pot stickers I've had anywhere and I've had a lot all over. They're bigger and crispy and juicy with the perfect filling. Too big to fit into your mouth in one bite. Cut them in half and pour some of the sauce they give you right into the fill, then pop that sucker in your mouth! Wow, that's worth the price! read more

Don't judge a book by its cover! This humble place has a nice, quaint interior and great food - especially for the price! We are just passing through and grabbing takeout, but we're pretty satisfied in our meal for what we paid. I think the general chicken was a favorite (I liked it more than the orange chicken) it had a nice spice but was not overwhelmingly spicy. The best part is the portions for the money. We found this amazing gem by accident last night. We originally were heading to another establishment and saw Yangs Kitchen and thought wow let check this place out. We have been wanting to find a good Chinese restaurant anyway. So in we went and were seated immediately. The inside is clean and has that old restaurant vibe. We got a nice window seat and given menus. They have quite an extensive selection of food. But we decided to have the dinner special which comes with the a main dish and your choice of steamed or fried rice. An egg roll fried shrimp and a cream cheese rangoon. Also a cup of soup. All for about 14$. In fact it looked like most of their items are in that price range. That's a good deal considering they are located in downtown Carson City. Albeit they are one street over from the main drag. I chose the Schezuan shrimp and my wife for the Schezuan beef. Both with fried rice. They weren't very busy so the food arrived pretty quickly. Not only did it look amazing but was so savory. Not too spicy but just enough. In all we paid about 33$ for the whole meal. Can't beat that. I can't wait to come back and try another item from their menu. I want to try their House Chow Mein. As we were leaving I noticed they have a sushi bar in an adjoining room. Yang's is my go to Chinese spot in Carson. I've picked up Yang's countless times for family and friends when we're craving something other than the classic pizza or burgers. Their dinner special can't be beat. You get loads of food for a great price. My favorite is the sesame or general chicken with the hot and sour soup. The dinner special also comes with an egg roll, a crab Rangoon, and a fried shrimp as well as rice, either steamed or fried. I've never been disappointed by any of the food here. I also love the bao buns. I've never eaten in Yang's, but they do have tables. Honestly I've never seen many people eat in there. They partially share a space with a sushi spot next door and that place is always busy, but Yang's dining room seems slower and it's more a to-go type restaurant. They are so fast here and pretty friendly. Yang's is your friendly neighborhood Chinese spot constantly pumping out awesome food at affordable prices and a no frills to go process. Enjoy! read more

Since the weather was so foul on Christmas Eve, we decided to order dinner in from Yang's Kitchen. Ordered online and my son pick up the meal. Amazingly the food was still hot when he returned with the food. Meal was enjoyable but I felt the pricing was a little high; for 4 adults the meal came to $82. The steamed rice here is amazing... more on this later. Im here for the half-duck which is great and the sushi here is good too. I've ordered several of the rice dinners... beef and the curry. I didn't really like them fresh but they actually improved the next day. The curry had too much onion which really watered the curry down. Im sure the saving grace was the proper steamed rice they make at this location. Half duck! Ok. This really shines here. This is a decently sized duck. Large breasts... and they leave all the fatty bits that just makes it so delicious. Some places remove some of the bits... but not this place! Yum. The steamed rice here would meet my mom's strict old world Japanese tastes and standards... first world native Japanese standards. I get my super picky rice standards from her. Rice is the amazing base of many traditional poor people needs and this place is usually spot on. More than many Asian restaurants I've been to in my life. They ran out of fun for beef chow fun, oh well that happens even in the other restaurants. I ordered the Singapore rice noodles instead. I can hear the woks at work but it didn't reflect in the Singapore rice noodle dish, it didn't seem like there was enough "wok hei" simply translated there was not enough heat used to stir fry. The Singapore rice noodle dish was quite a generous portion size, not at all spicy enough for me. They don't seem to have chili oil or Chinese mustard when I first ordered the chow fun and find out they were out of fun, they were also lacking white pepper which is essential for Chinese dishes. The Singapore rice noodle dish was okay but not outstanding. I also ordered the wonton soup, that was a huge disappointment. The wonton's themselves were bland, it could have stood some flavour and maybe some shrimp in the muxture. The vegetable accompaniment were acceptable, they included napa cabbage, carrots, canned bamboo shoots, mushrooms and green onion. The broth needs kick like a chicken stock base and sesame oil. I can't tell from what I tried tonight to conclusively write them off intil I try their beef chow fun another day. They were not bad but lacked enthusiasm in the cooking method and flavour. read more

I ordered Yangs and had it delivered. We ordered cheese wontons, the kung pao beef lunch and moo shu pork. I was very happy they delivered so I didn't have to pay extra using a delivery service; I'd rather use that extra money on a larger tip. The woman who took my order was very polite and let me know that it would be about 45 min before it got delivered. After 45 min the delivery was made. The man who delivered the food was also very kind with a big smile on his face. I don't even know where to start with the food because it was all so delicious. I've never ate a wonton that looked or tasted like that. They were amazing. The cream cheese on top was toasted. I wish I would've taken pictures but I was so hungry. My mom got the lunch combo, which was pretty reasonably priced. They asked what side she wanted with the lunch (they do advertise it as one side) she asked if she could get half/half and they did. It also came with soup, an egg roll and a wonton. She loved it. I got the moo shu pork, was also really good. My only complaint is I didn't order more!
