Our first Asian food in Carson and we enjoyed! It was empty when we came, which was nice because we had our toddler who can always be a hit or miss on attitude. The staff was all friendly and didn't mind that he was acting a bit toddlerish! The portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable. I especially liked the chow mein. The restaurant is small and feels cozy. Wasn't overly salty or oily, which is how I find a lot of Chinese food. Chicken was crispy. We will be back!

I'm from out of town and stopped here on my way through to California. Probably the best Chinese food I've ever eaten. Started with hot and sour soup and potstickers for appetizers. The hot and sour soup was rich and delicious, and the potstickers had a light and fluffy pastry that was perfectly cooked, both the best I've ever had. The dinner portion of General Tso's was generous and piping hot. I highly recommend making this a regular stop for anyone close by.

The food was good. The severed hot and fresh. The service was exceptional. They were very attentive about not overly so. The atmosphere was calming and they played good music.

I can't believe I have never written a review. Specializing in Indonesian food with a western twist, Tee Jay is serving up great noodle dishes, burgers, cheesesteaks, hot dogs, and one of my new favorites, Loco Moco! The Krakatoa cheesesteak is one of my favorites. Thin-cut steak, cheese, and if you like spicy, it's even better! The loco moco is what I tried most recently, and I thought the portion size was great for the price. The classic noodle dishes like pad thai and the curries are also bomb. The ambiance here isn't the best since it's located on a casino floor; however, the classic counter diner has a special ambiance in and of itself. I almost always get food to-go from here. Tee Jay is always working at this place with a few assistants, and they are a truly kind and caring staff, wanting to make the best food for their guests. Give Tee Jay's a try, you won't regret it.

We were only interested in take-out, as it was a quick stop on our roadtrip and they truly delivered a quick option. It took no more than 10 minutes to get our meal. Both, the Panang and Yellow curries were very flavorful and filling! We had plenty and were able to share the meals. They ask what your preference of spice is and we went with level 3, as it was our first time stopping here so didn't know how spicy they make their meals. Level 3 was actually perfect because we enjoyed a minimum spice and not overwhelming at all. The restaurant looked very clean and organized and we'll look forward to stopping in again any time we take this trip in the future.

So, my local friend wanted to take me to this Thai restaurant right down on the main street in downtown, if Carson has an actual downtown that is. We got parking right in front of the place on the main street. Inside is nice and elegant in a Thai kinda way. Nicer than a casual mom and pop Thai joint. We get seated at a nice table near the front. My friend already knows the menu, so I go with hos suggestion for the Lunch special Duck with sauce over rice. It's $22 bucks, so it better be good! He has the Thai battered salmon for around $19. Soup is included and it's just a veggie broth, though tasty. Then our lunch specials come out. Oh wow, that duck look really good. It's totally deboned, so no messing with bones at all. The sauce was super tasty. My friend said he thinks its some sort of duck juice reduction with other added stuff. Whatever, this was one of the most tasty duck dishes I've ever had. His salmon was unique, I never saw a dish like that made with salmon. The coating was very unique and crispy and the salmon not over cooked. Overall, I really liked this place. I think my crew is having lunch at one of the local casinos, I'd rather be here!

The bill came to $80 which I felt was kinda steep for 3 items, especially in Carson City. The restaurant is located on a street where there was very limited parking in front and all the rear parking is super dark so bring your night vision goggles. At least there's plenty of parking spots. When I walked in, I was surprised to see Caucasian staff members! Well I guess this isn't that different than Panda Express where you have hispanics in the front and the 1 token asian in the back cooking. I picked up my food and was pleasantly surprised to find the dishes were pretty loaded. I started dipping into my duck curry and OMG it was probably the best I've had. Not only was the flavor amazing and spiced just right, but there was a generous amount of duck! When I went to eat dim sum recently and ordered roast duck, I got a plate of duck that was mostly skin and bones. Here they actually de-boned the meat so you're getting nice chunks of flavorful, meaty duck along with fresh chunks of pineapple, tomatoes, and spices with that yummy curry over my caucasian rice (I like to be culturally sensitive). Even my wife that don't like duck really enjoyed this. So while $80 for 3 dishes may seem a bit high, it was worth it. I really enjoyed my meal here and my kids also ate all their noodles with enough leftovers for lunch the next day.

We have deep Laos roots and are very familiar with Thai cuisine, so we were hoping for something that felt more like home--but overall, the flavors were a bit lacking. The Crying Tiger was disappointing mainly because it wasn't pre-cut. I spent about 15 minutes cutting the meat myself, which meant the rest of my food got cold by the time I could actually enjoy it. That said, the Mango Sticky Rice was AMAZING--definitely the highlight of the meal and the one dish that really stood out. Service started off a bit rough. Our server initially seemed short and not very welcoming. Interestingly, once they realized we spoke Thai and we began ordering in Thai, the service noticeably improved and felt much more friendly. Overall: decent food, great dessert, but a few things kept it from being a standout experience.

Quality/Quantity - 5 stars when we first discovered this place a year or two ago. Today it was a 4 star experience, as it was too soy saucy and salty for me. And I love soy sauce and salt!! Combo Chow Mein - Generous portions. Had at least 4 shrimps. I also really like the cuts of their meats, both the chicken and beef were thinly cut and tender. They sell boba drinks, donuts, Vietnamese and Chinese food... etc. They also have a very limited dim sum menu. They also have a lunch menu. Atmosphere - Small local business, sit down is now reopened. Open 6 days a week from 6am to 9pm; closed Sunday. Yelp and their menu hours differ a little. So call to confirm... Plenty of parking. Service - Good, we have only ever done take-out here. They seem to have a very good take-out business, but I am patient. Price - As you can see from my 1-5 year old menu pictures, prices have gone up from $10 to $16 for my combo chow mein meal. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success at this location for 14+ years. I look forward to trying your donuts and Vietnamese food in the future.
