And even though I had soup, they pushed a beverage on me. Who needs a beverage when you have soup that is mostly broth? They did not have any chili oil or anything to enhance the flavor. Save your taste buds and your money and go to Panda Kitchen. Much better food, much better attention to service , and much better decor. read more

I just wanted to get a quick to go order of the BBQ Pork Egg Fu Young. Normally this dish comes to the table with the egg patty under a mountain of goodies and gravy, but getting this to go would likely end up in a mess trying to travel with that, so, the solution is get them to pack the patty by itself and put the liquid sauce and meat veggie mix in a big soup container. That way nothing gets spilled on the way home and then at home you can pour just the amount you want on the egg patty. This worked out so well, I may just order the sauce separate when I dine in next time. The BBQ pork egg fu young was delicious and no other restaurant serves it this way. Usually you just get some bare egg patties and some bland gravy to pour on it with no meat or veggies in it! Panda Kitchen for the win! The food was still super hot when I arrived home 15 mins away. 4/14/2023 Wanted to take a drive and break in my new tires.. Both were wanting to try a new Chinese restaurant.. We were warned that there was only one cook tonight. So the wait would be longer.. Ordered: crab Rangoon- Nice! 8 won tons very nice portion for the price Chicken chow mein- nice tender, small pieces of chicken and no filler of cabbage or bean sprouts.. Honey walnut prawns- for the price and the plump battered prawns in a sweet but not too sweet sauce- very good- Half duck- a little disappointing- over deep fried and the half a duck was a skinny duck.. not much meet Service was great. For what it is, this place is clean, staff is nice and food is delicious. Bottom line, it's chain restaurant Chinese, but portions are generous and reasonably priced for what you get. We usually order in at least once when we come to Carson City and this is a good, reliable choice. read more

My first visit. Lunchtime. Only 2 diners in the building. Hmmm? Staff super friendly. Chef/owner came out and chatted with me while I waited. Great story about a new business Been open about 5 months. American dream. Wonton Soup is the best I've ever had. The broth is so flavorful. 10-12 wonton and lots of veggies. I added one packet of hot mustard and one packet of Siracha. Kicked it up to help my stuffy nose. I went back the next day to stock up for the weekend. Egg Flower Soup is not a let down. Pot stickers are perfect between chewy, soft and crispy bottom. The dipping sauce is amazing!!!! Kung Pao has lots of peanuts and celery (my favorite) My only negative... not fond of the light, airy batter/fry on the General's Chicken and it wasn't spicy enough. I got violently ill from this place. On top of that they gave us the wrong order, we get home and notice we have someone else's order. We go back (with the order) and they gave someone else our order. Turns out the other people called and got a refund over the phone. We have not driven out to China Palace in a while so a visit was in order. Surprisingly the restaurant was empty due to street vibrations; so today was an opportune time to drop by, we practically had the whole restaurant to ourselves. We ordered our usual favorite entrees like the Crab Rangoon and Honey Walnut Shrimp (plump juicy shrimp and very lightly battered) and then we tried a few new entrees General Chicken (also lightly battered with good size pieces of chicken and a mildly spicy sauce) and a new favorite appetizer: the pot stickers. Their potstickers were so massive, it was a meal on to itself and while the potstickers were good on its own, the sauce that accompanied it was sheer perfection! All the food was masterfully prepared. But as impressive as the food was, the service is equally as wonderful. The chef, himself, came out and thanked us for our business at the beginning of the meal and checked back at the end of the meal to ask how everything was: excellent we admitted. We drove from Gardnerville to try this restaurant, because the restaurants in Gardnerville are terrible. We were very impressed. We had scallops in oyster sauce and crispy duck with the meal B. Appetizers were egg rolls-very good; Fried shrimp-very good; barbecue ribs- good, just a bit dry but flavor was great; foil wrapped chicken-very yummy. The war wonton soup was excellent. We passed on the rice and asked not for it because we avoid the carbs and it's too filling. The crispy duck and the scallops in oyster sauce were excellent. Now I know it's a small thing, but what made me really happy was we got fortune cookies AND the Chinese almond cookie at the end of the meal. I haven't been to a Chinese restaurant in years that gave the almond cookie and a fortune cookie. I love the almond cookies. Please patronize this restaurant. Honestly the WORST Chinese food I have had from a take out dine in . If you like meat that is " textured" - forget it. Meat is ike boiled and then slopped with flavor sauce. Its like the TACO BELL of Chinese food. If you think Taco Bell is real Mexican cooking, then you might like this place. Its gross. Mongolian beef= gross Generals chicken = gross, I have had better frozen Entree Generals Chicken than this. Beef chow fun? - Meh. Fool me once. Once is enough. Great service, if we'd sat inside instead of ordering to go the atmosphere seemed peaceful. Most of the food was ok, just ok, but the duck was so dry. Like so so so dry. My fiancé being a chef couldn't even eat it and he hates wasting food. He tried to use it for a soup and even in broth it was still dry dry dry. It genuinely seemed to fall apart like sand. So if you choose to order just don't order the duck, but generally China east is the better choice, unfortunately for this place. I was disappointed. read more

The food, service and prices were all very good. I've eaten there twice. I enjoyed the sweet and sour shrimp very much. The shrimp are battered and deep fried and served with lightly sautéed onions and peppers. I've also enjoyed the chicken chow mein. The noodles are toothsome and the sauce is delicious. read more

This review covers two visits about a month apart. I ordered Kung Pao Shrimp both times. I added their combo appetizers the first time, and the second time I added Hot and Sour Soup, and Pot Stickers. The Kung Pao Shrimp was surprisingly good the first time (I cook various Chinese styles, but not often now due to disabilities), not perfect, but better than many I've had stateside. The combo appetizers were not very good, with the BBQ pork being inedible (appeared old, dried out, and hard). The second time the Kung Pao Shrimp was not good. It had to have been a different cook. It had a generic Chinese-American sauce found in far too many places. The blanched peanuts were simply added on top in the to-go carton. There were 2 dried chilis. The Pot Stickers were good, and had a good dipping sauce. This 2nd time was delivery, and it arrived sooner than the estimated time, and was still hot. I haven't eaten here enough to have tried many dishes. They do have many items on the menu. I will try something different next time, due to the decent Kung Pao Shrimp on my first visit.
