This unassuming, strip mall donut shop and pho bistro is well worth your time. I adopted this place as my go-to for both workday lunch refuge and weekly family dinner staple. This is a family owned and operated business in the truest sense. They take great pride in the quality of their service and food alike. Everything on the menu, including the donuts are worth your time!

Pretty bummed about this one. I don't usually eat lunch during the work week but as I have been fighting some sinus stuff, I thought I'd treat myself to some piping hot Pho. This place is about 2 mins from my workplace so I thought I was in luck. I was immediately sat in a corner and brought Jasmine tea, the place was clean and lit with natural light. I order #9 which has chicken, rice noodles, in a chicken broth. I have never ordered a chicken broth based pho before so maybe it's the norm but I was really sad to not be given basil for my pho, like I'd usually get. The chicken had to be boiled because it was rubbery and white as a snowflake. Sadly, this Pho left a lot to be desired and I had to add copious amounts of soy sauce and sriracha just to have some minimal flavor. While it was piping hot and all the sriracha I added helped clear my sinuses, I was disappointed. The waitress was very nice and attentive but the food just wasn't good. There are so many great Pho options in Reno, I don't think I would come back here, despite it being so close to work.

I can't believe this place does not have a higher rating! My friend suggested to go to get the lemon chicken...she told me it was the old school (probably not at all authentic" bright yellow lemon chicken we grew up with. I ordered the lemon chicken, chicken chow mein and cream cheese wontons. I literally can't explain how delicious it was! The staff was so friendly when I called, was ready quickly and were so nice when I picked up. The prices are reasonable and they are not skimpy with the portions. This all was about $36 and I ate at least 4 times from this. They have a great lunch special i can't wait to try!

I've been here a few times. Every time it's been a pretty good meal. I always get one of their boba drinks which are great as they are made with fresh fruit. Today I just got pork buns which were pretty good along with a cantaloupe boba. The service is always good. The dining area has both booths and tables. I see a lot of to go orders so I know others like this place.

The pho dac beit is the way to go. The broth smelled inviting the noodles didn't fall apart (the stringy onions were my favorite part) yummy. The music is relaxing, it's a very small venue and it gets busy . Please be patient, I believe it's a mom and pop shop just the two of them . You can smell and hear the food frying and you can see it sizzle as it walks by. I can't wait to come back and try another dish

If you are looking for Vietnamese/Chinese food that is reasonably priced and has good-sized portions, this is your place. This place also sells donuts in the morning. Family owned and very friendly, I appreciated that prices here are less than other similar restaurants the area. The menu has a lot to offer and I will need to return several times to try each one of them. I walked in to order take out and waited 15 minutes. Everything is made to order so it is fresh and piping hot. The reason for the 4 stars is the food is slightly salty for my taste. I will be asking for less salt the next time I visit.

Happened to see this place while going to the bank. Ordered the pork buns (ate some before I remembered to take a picture) & some donuts. The buns were made fresh & were steaming as I got them. I love pork buns & these did not disappoint. They weren't too salty & a decent dough to filling ratio. Very delicious and satisfying. Looking forward to getting more.

This place really stands out for both the quality of the food and the authenticity of the flavors. The dishes taste fresh and homemade, with the kind of balance of spice, sweetness, and flavor you expect from real Thai cooking, not watered-down versions. The curries are rich and flavorful, the noodle dishes are excellent, and the spice levels are done right if you like authentic heat. Our waitress Nid was great, friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, and the service is friendly and welcoming. I then had to fight to flag a waitress to ask for chili paste to get any heat in my entire dish. I like that there are veggies with it and the noodles have a good chew, but I've found zero dishes with anything near Thai spices here My partner got the pad thai, which was sickly sweet yet didn't taste like tamarind, fish sauce nor contain pickled veg. The wood ear in it was excellent, but I've never seen it in pad thai. The thai ice tea was good, maybe a bit heavy on sweetener. I don't understand the high ratings here, based pireh on food. Thai Chili has far better flavors, and is rated lower. The wait staff/food runners lacked politeness, and never checked if we enjoyed our food or needed anyone. Sans the person filling everyone's water, we were never checked on in any other capacity. The restaurant was a cacophony of noise and conversation, I had to lean across the booth to have any chance of hearing my companion. The noise level is overwhelming if you have sensory issues at all. The decor is pretty cool.

We have family members nearby and a lot of them also say that Asian cuisine out in Reno is not necessarily the best. Not being the case I have to admit we kind of had low expectations of this restaurant. Things were a little weird when we arrived. But first, let me tell you he's at the parking lot is large and there's plenty of parking for everyone. This restaurant shares a lot with an el super market and a few other small businesses. When we entered, the gentlemen at the front seemed very flustered. There was one couple who had arrived just before us. They were there to place a to go order. Once we came in and let them know that we were going to be a party of four, the gentleman looked very confused. All of a sudden he didn't seem like he knew where to put us. There were more than enough tables. He initially was going to place in a tiny booth, but we explained that when we go out to eat that we may be a small group, but we order pretty large amounts of food and we like our table space. He got even more confused and flustered. We ordered green beans with chicken. We had pork chops with spicy salt and fried tofu with spicy salt. And because we were feeling slightly intrigued and curious, we ordered a fried eggplant with spicy salt. That fried eggplant was fantastic. It was so lightly fried, even though the batter, we weren't quite sure about because it looked a little heavy. I really like the green beans. They were still crispy and crunchy. To my liking, those were perfectly cooked. I love that. They use a lot of onion and garlic. Nothing was overly salty. The one oopsie that I experienced that was both a shock and a bit of a problem... one of the waiters came to refill my water and somehow he accidentally missed the cup and dumped about a quarter of the picture of water into my purse. Ughhhh. That part wasn't fun but luckily I keep my purse organized where everything is pretty much in pouches. So most things were protected. My wallet did get wet, but luckily it was just water and nothing else.
